I've never had a root canal so i guess i can't complare them to anyone on that front but i do have some dental trauma in my past and while I'm mostly past it i still get nervous. They treated me so kind and caring from the moment i called till wayyyyyy after i got my root canal. The dr is awesome, great at what he does! And the supporting staff is just as wonderful, including everyone who works at the desk. I had trouble with my insurance and they were kind about it every time they had to call and leave me another voicemail, never badgering or blaming. Very professional and kind. 10/5 stars.

I had been a patient of hers several years ago and this is why I came back. I called on a Tuesday morning because my tooth pain was getting worse and worse. My regular dentist (who I should but won't name) kinda shrugged if off. He sent me on my way with a tube of Sensodyne. I was in luck that there was a cancellation and I went to Dr Bills office right away. It's a super convenient Cary location. All of her staff is super warm and caring. She even has a therapy dog on staff !!! She numbed me up really well and the procedure was painless. She and her assistant chat the entire time so that really keeps your mind off of what is going on in your mouth. I would so HIGHLY recommend Dr Bills and her staff. A root canal isn't really that bad.

I was referred to Peak by my dentist after shadows showed at the roots of all four of my first…read moremolars. I was quoted nearly $700 for scans and a consultation because they wanted to perform a CBCT scan on all four teeth. One of those teeth had previously been treated by Advanced Endo, so I went there to confirm the treatment plan for that specific tooth first (as a follow up). While I was there, they offered to do the same CBCT scan for half the cost Peak quoted--and only needed to scan once for the entire mouth. I agreed, especially since Peak had told me over the phone that I could bring in the scan on a thumb drive for them to review. Advanced Endo also confirmed they use the same software and had previously received scans from Peak. When I finally had my consultation with Peak, they took the thumb drive to the back while I waited in the lobby. They came back and claimed they couldn't read the scan and said, "We'll have to redo it for $500." That didn't make sense--how could they not view the scan? And why was the price different from what I was originally quoted? Since I couldn't afford additional scans, I took my thumb drive and left. Out of curiosity, I did a quick Google search and was able to open and view the scans myself on a standard laptop--no special software needed. I called Peak to let them know, but the conversation went nowhere. I kept getting different explanations each time about why they couldn't use the scan. They eventually offered a "discount," but at that point I wasn't willing to pay anything more after being told I could use the original scan. I decided to take my business elsewhere and share my experience so others can make an informed decision. Advanced Endo and Ritter Endo are far superior to this office. They had soft music playing and each room had a moveable TV screen (not sure if you can watch it - they showed my X-rays on it, which was great to see). Let me just point out that I hate everything that has to do with dentists in any form, but was definitely at ease here. Everyone was super friendly and made the entire experience worthwhile. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing an endo.

But as I was leaving, the office staff whispered to me that the BEST in Raleigh was Dr. Stancill on Lake Boone Trail. I immediately called and gave them a heads up that I am a complete terrified baby at the dentist. That I needed a root canal drilled thru a porcelain crown, hopefully without breaking it because I couldnt afford another, and I can't deal with pain. Their team was soooo comforting the minute I walked in, Dr. Stancill was amazing, his staff sat and even held my hand and distracted me while he worked (lmao...such a baby)...and he was literally done during the time I thought he was just doing prep work. I couldn't believe it when he told me it was over. I didn't feel a thing, my mouth never swelled up, I went home that night with no further issues. I was in shock. I immediately recommended Dr. Stancill to a coworker who was as chicken as I was and had been putting off a root canal. He also got an appointment quickly, and was back to work the next day, same result. No pain. Dr. Stancill has the latest equipment. He is so smooth. I'm not looking forward to ever having a root canal again, but if I do...I'm calling Dr. Robert Stancill 100%. This man is brilliant and pain free.

Front desk: 5 Scheduling: 5…read moreDoctor: 5 Staff: 5 Date/Time: 7/9/2020 3:00pm This was a first for me visiting an Endodontics office so didn't know what to expect so my review is from the eyes of a newbie, however, I will say this, the experience, in general, was just really pleasant! Granted, I went in on a referral to confirm a diagnosis, so there was no one ripping out a root or anything... then again, if they gave me enough laughing gas, I probably would have given the same rating, but you wouldn't understand the words I'm typing :-) The scheduling was very easy with a call in to a very friendly person who asked some questions, then a trip to their website to grab some forms to pre-fill. Got scheduled in for just a couple days out. Upon arriving, the person at the front desk took my pre-filled forms and I took a seat to wait just a few minutes before being called in. I wish I could remember the person who brought me back (Allison, maybe?) was really nice and took some X-rays which of course were digital so that experience was also great. I'd provide a description, but I think it would describe everyone in there with COVID hanging around!.... mask, glasses, scrubs. She was even very accepting of my request for the X-Rays to be emailed to me. Next was Dr. Haris Iqbal who is very good at explaining things and providing the correct diagnosis of "no need for a root canal" :-) He's very friendly and listens attentively. You don't get the feeling he's in a rush to get out of the room. He explained things using a flat screen TV hanging on the wall showing my X-Rays. The front office processed me quick, then emailed the X-Rays to me. Overall, the experience couldn't have been much better. Highly recommended at least for consults.
