We ordered directly from the restaurant's website. Even though the order was delivered in a timely fashion, and we enjoyed the food, the order was slightly wrong. We ordered Chips & Guacamole, but they forgot the chips! The problem I'm complaining about is that is was very hard to communicate directly with the restaurant. I phoned two times, wrote to them on the website, and wrote the the delivery driver. I never got a response. Unfortunately, because I paid $9.75 for Chips & Guacamole, but never got the chips, with no response from the restaurant, I can't ever order from them again. The woman who gives out the orders does not understand English and we had a miscommunication so I proceeded to the register to talk to the cashier who I believe is the manager and I GI I thought could better assist me. Instead of helping me resolve the issue in communication this unprofessional woman at the register tells me " I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU HAVE AN ATTITUDE. IT MUST BE NICE BEING A MAN; I SWEAR IF I WAS A N_Word I WOULD DRAG YOU OUT OF THIS STORE RIGHT NOW!" I was appalled at the way this woman/manger/employee spoke to me as a paying customer. It was unnecessary and I hope she is fired. I will continue to make a complaint until something is done. I visited this location in August of 2024 for lunch. I placed an order for pick up via the phone as their website was giving me issues. As I arrived to the store the representative at the register was on the phone. After about 5 minutes I was able to tell her which order I was there to pick up. The store accepts cash or card. However, if you're paying with card you have to pay on their kiosk. This should have been stated when I placed my order. I was annoyed I wasn't told they only accept cash at the register what if I didn't have cash on me. This is very time consuming as you have to place the order all over again on the kiosk just to pay. I came during my lunch break and had about 2-3 orders along with mines to pick up. I ended up paying in cash since I was on a time crunch. There are about 4-5 bar stools to sit down inside of the restaurant. I did notice some tables and chair outside as well. I ordered the chicken empanada and the chicken quesadilla. The shell of the empanada was cooked perfectly but I was a fan of the chicken filling. I may try the beef empanada the next time. The quesadilla was really delicious, it was a total of 4 pieces cut up. I ended up getting full from eating two pieces of the quesadilla and the chicken empanada. I ordered a lemonade with my meal and it was really delicious nice and sweet. My coworkers rave about the taco bowl and the tacos. Those are next on my list to try. The place is accessible and easy to get to via public transportation. If you're looking for some delicious Mexican food in Harlem, check out Presto. I will return to this location to continue to eat their food. I do think they need to fix the whole reordering on the kiosk if you're paying with card situation which is why I'm taking off a star. I used to have a fair-to-enough good customer service here since they were able to accommodate my quesadilla order without cheese. Im lactose intolerance. Can't take dairy products. But last Wednesday when my coworker and I came back for our lunch. The staff seemed to be new. The one lady who took my order was kind of "nasty unprofessional". She said that she couldn't take my order quesadillas without cheese and she went on educating me that is not real good if it s without cheese. Hello? I got that order done before 100x, i can eat with my teeth and my digestive system; and i still paid the same price. She turned her back to the cook and said something in Spanish like I'm stupid. I usually don't order from places I'm unfamiliar with and that's new when I'm hungry because we all know hangry and new places don't mix . HOWEVER I'm pleased to say they were everything their brochure offered. I can't speak yet for the inside of the place (cleanliness, set up, etc!), but soon. 1) the delivery was timely 2) the price was AFFORDABLE for healthy food in the Morningside height area! 3) oh did I mention the PRICE WAS AFFORDABLE!!! 4) the food was delicious and not overly seasoned. 5) they have numerous options for the overly healthy conscious individual *raises hand* I can't verify if they have gluten free options, but definitely brown rice and whole what *Bing bing bing*. I honestly should go here more! It's clean and the food is fresh and delicious. I've had their fresh juice, smoothies, chicken sandwich, and chicken burrito. All of it is so good and properly seasoned. The people there have been so friendly each time I go. Patient as well since they have such a big menu. Next time, I'm going to try their flautas. Lo and behold, I found this little gem in Harlem. I came here one evening, and decided on a chicken fajita burrito. It took some time for me to get my food, but the wait was more than worth it. I could tell that the food here is made of good quality ingredients, and the burrito really hit the spot! Fast forward a few days, and I found myself in this same area of the island. I finally went to Presto Cafe today after weeks of recommendation from my coworkers. I had been told how amazing their salads and smoothies were however, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here. First, when you walk in, the directions for how to order are not intuitive at all. When I first arrived there were people standing around everywhere and I could not tell who was in line and who had already ordered. There were people making orders on the tablets but also people waiting in line to order from an employee. Couldn't really tell what was what but I really just chalked it up to never having been there before. After having ordered, I heard many other customers complaining about waiting over 30+ minutes for their food. I, myself waited 20 for a chicken fajita taco bowl. Lastly though, and what most warrants my one star review, is the lack of overall cleanliness. On the cutting board where food is prepared I saw wet and dirty washrags. While the man was preparing the food his gloves were repeatedly touching the rags. Then I watched another employee make a peanut butter smoothie, wash the smoothie machine, and go right back to making hot food and did not change her gloves one time throughout the whole process. Her washing the smoothie machine and using cleaning products and then going right back to preparing food with the same gloves on was really the straw that broke the camels back for me. So the smoothie I got was good. That's what the stars are for. I found this place because I happened to be in the area for work today and was pretty glad I did because it looked like a good place with good options. Now when I went, I was feeling just... not as sharp and just tired because I hadn't had my coffee yet plus had some personal things going on. I just wanted to stop by and get a quick pick me up on my way to my next stop for work. I was out of it. The cashier took my order which i gave to her quickly but then she directs me to enter my order myself on the self checkout machine. Ok, fine. I guess i'll do this under my non-caffeinated mental fog. It got to a screen where you had to enter a name/order number. I turn to the cashier to ask because, well yes it might've been self explanatory but it was my first time there. The cashier could've been polite. Instead she used the most condescending voice to say "you put your NAME and then you JUST tap!!!" And then I saw out of the corner of my eye another worker go to her and I thought I heard "like a grandma" to eachother in Spanish. Lol really? I'm normally sharp and quick when it comes to these things and I am literally the sweetest person so there was no reason for the attitude... seriously you never know what people are going thru or how they may be feeling. Does it hurt to be pleasant? I'm not dumb, i am just not familiar with your system or how you do things. Plus.... i hadn't had my coffee. But that's beside the point i guess. Stopped by here for some lunch after a gym sessions and it was pretty empty around 11:45a on a Saturday. They have touchscreens that you can place your order on, although someone walked in and ordered directly at the counter and they were fine with that. I ordered a salad with kale, spinach, corn, red peppers, cucumbers and chicken. It's $7.50 for 4 toppings and $8.50 for 5 toppings. There may also be an option for 6 but I just went with 5. The salad is large and very filling. Even with just those toppings, they added a lot of each and were not skimp on the chicken either, which was flavorful and juicy. Passed by here several times and thought it was a juice bar until one day I saw "burrito" and my interest was peaked. Decor: small spot with minimal indoor, countertop seating and about 2-3 tables for outdoor seating. The grill and ingredients are all on display so you can see what's going in to your order and how it's being prepared which I personally like. Service: the staff is fairly pleasant and easy to deal with so no issue there. The wait for my food was a bit long though considering I didn't order that much. Food: ordered 2 burritos (one chicken, one shrimp) in spinach wraps and one of their specialty drinks. The juice was nice and refreshing. The burritos were also really good. My shrimp was a little on the overcooked side but not enough to ruin the meal. Misc: as good as everything was, I felt it was a little overpriced. I paid 31 bucks for 2 burritos and a large (that was more on the medium side...and not like a Wendy's medium either) juice. Something about that doesn't seem right but maybe it's me. They do that a rewards punch card so i guess there's incentive but it only applies to thsmoothies (-_____-). With all that being said, I'd definitely order from here again but sparingly. I normally really, really love ordering from here! I order from here pretty frequently. I feel a bit more healthy ordering from Presto Fresh than other places, and they seem to deliver their food neatly without errors. Last week, I did wait over three hours for a delivery, which was annoying, but it was handled over GrubHub. I absolutely am obsessed with their smoothies! I'm honestly way too lazy to make my own, and for around $5-$6 a smoothie, that's a great deal. I also love ordering their customizable salads, everything is always fresh. Another food item I love is their veggie burritos -- it's better than Chipotle and I LOVE Chipotle. I noticed they were online with grubhub so one morning I decided to order. I ordered a smoothie and two breakfast sandwiches. Grubhub stated that it would take about an hour for me to get my food (which never makes sense when the establishment is only 2 or 3 blocks away). I waited patiently and they food didn't arrive with in the hour. I called grubhub and they stated the food was running behind. I got the food about 30-45 minutes after the estimated time. BUT WHAT I WILL SAY IS THE FOOD WAS HOT AND THE SMOOTHIE WAS STILL COLD. So for that I am thankful and appreciate. The breakfast sandwich was perfect. Smoothie was delicious as well.
