I love their work!! I support local businesses! They've been around Carson for a long time. (How I know) My parents was taking my car at Presto since High School, I am now almost 40. I don't usually review company's, but Presto deserve to be heard. They are courteous, honest, and friendly (everytime) Dealership service have found what they though what was wrong with my car. That cost us an arm and a leg for them to fix it! But never fixed it properly or fixed the wrong problem. But taking it to Presto, and taken their advise on what they need to do. These guys are wonderful!! After my son hit a pipe sticking out of the ground and messed up the grill shutter assembly and the wire going to it which made the check engine light go on we couldn't get smogged or reregistered . Being a 2017 Subaru Outback we took to Subaru and they said we had to get body work fixed first, took to body shop and they said @2,700 just for body work. We wanted to find out just what was wrong ourselves. Under plate ok, just damaged shutter grill assembly, wire to it & one metal piece bent. (Nothing major so didn't need to replace)We ordered a new shutter assembly grill & wire clip, put on car but check engine light would not go off so took to Subaru again for them to diagnose wire or to clear codes so we could get smog. Again they said we needed body work done & we knew body had nothing to do with code! We were told by jigsaw auto to try this place and found out we wired it wrong in the first place causing more problems but they fixed for us and saved us money for body work not needed// couldn't see anyway !! They informed us they got a little help diagnosing and said it wasn't easy but hell at least they tried and by god fixed the problem!! I hate those dealerships after warranty gone or when u try to save money by fixing things yourself-- needless to say we won't be going to a dealership for any repairs unless it's a new vehicle & under warranty ! We recommend this place highly !!!!!!! read more

They have had my truck for39 days and it is still not fixed. they say they have been waiting for a new PCM, it has been over two weeks still no PCM they spend 10 hours working on my truck , Some days I call and they seem to have forgotten they have my Truck. can not recommend them. read more

This place absolutely sucks.They said my battery needed to be replaced when I took it to the dealer my battery was fine,all they wanted was my money .Jim the owner got mad I got there a half hour early because he wanted to charge me $45 to charge my battery that was already fine so he only got to charge me $25 and told I've got to make money too and said my truck wouldn't make it home because the battery would die well its been 2 weeks haven't charged the battery idiot so what do you say to that.They are scammers and I hope they go out of business because they are not honest people,and Jim and Tommy don't know anything about how to work on vehicles I know more than they do.Also they are very rude do not know anything about customer service! read more

Talk to Jim on Thrusday about our Bronco. Do it off that afternoon,they gave me an estimate on the work to be done on our car. Pick it up the next day total bill was only fifty over the estimate. Long story short, it's a father/son team and the son seems to be the main manager. The father was an awesome dude who had been fixing cars for probably 60 years. The son was a jerk for no reason. He was condescending in every interaction we had. He told me his car was faster than mine - OK, great buddy - and just generally acted like a child. He brushed off a couple of issues I had mentioned with the car, and later come to find out were actually still present and I had to take them to another mechanic to get them fixed. Anyway, I hope for the dad's sake that the son learns some manners so he doesn't mess up the business his dad built. read more

I have to say I do not trust mechanics at all..I got referred to Presto by O'reillys then I checked their reviews..anyone who bad mouthed these guys have a character flaw.I called them and I literally have not met nicer or more honest mechanics..my BS radar is always up and I was so happy. Jim ,the owner's son renewed my faith in humans..well,at their shop anyway..I am actually happy to drop the car off and not worry about being ripped off,that says alot for them. I have a hard time believing the post from A B! I have found Jim Sr. AND Jim Jr. the best and most honest mechanics I've ever had the fortune to deal with! I've used them for about 5 years now, and they have gone over and beyond the call of duty on multiple occasions. Most recently, both of our vehicles broke down just before a planned road trip vacation. They were able to get us up and running, constructing a special tool to fix a problem that could otherwise have cost me more than I could afford! We even got a follow-up call to make sure everything was going smoothly. These guys are GREAT at troubleshooting and don't just use the "replace it until the problem gets fixed" mentality that so many mechanics use. I HIGHLY recommend them! read more
