I brought my 2019 Porsche Cayenne to Rene for minor repairs to each rear quarter panel and the front bumper. During the work he recommended some repair to the rear bumper, which I agreed to. I picked up the car a week and a half after the promised date, but I was patient because he kept saying he wanted to make sure he did a good job and that I would be happy.
He did do a good job on the paintwork, except he forgot to repair the front bumper, which was part of the original request. But the real problem began when I went to close the hatch--it would not automatically close. This is the first time in 5 years it has ever failed. Great, I have a car with good body work repair but the hatch won't close...No Thank You!
When I texted Rene, the first thing he said was:
"I didn't even touch truck at all it did work good for me maybe something blocking the sensor?"
I then showed him the picture he sent me, which clearly shows that not only did he touch the trunk, but he removed the metal plate that goes around the latch.
His next explanation was:
"Some times shocks get a little too dry and creates issues. I will take a look on it just don't force them to open up"
Then after more back and forth, he said:
"It should not be causing any issues because we did not touch the trunk mechanism at all"
This is NOT TRUE. The picture he sent shows the plate removed, and it was clearly not reinstalled properly.
After going back and forth even more, he finally said:
"I'm telling you that I am willing to help you with your issue even thought is not part of the deal that you and I made"
That was the final straw for me. How can you trust someone who will not take responsibility for their work? The hatch worked perfectly for 5 years. Immediately after his repair, it stopped closing--yet he acted like he was doing me a favor by even looking at it. And the fact that he initially denied touching the trunk area, even though he had sent me a photo showing the metal cover piece removed, is unacceptable.
It is a sad day when a person won't accept responsibility and make things right. Now I have to take the car to Porsche to fix his mistake, which he refuses to admit.
Stay away!!!! Rene is a dishonest person! read more
