Former employee here, this used to be a genuinely ok business, but as of recently the animals there…read moreare constantly abused, especially the ambassador animals which are kept in small cages literally all the time :( The signs on their cages saying "I live with cat in a bigger enclosure" are absolute lies, they stay in small enclosures. What makes me feel the worst is that she keeps multiple surrender macaws (animals that are very high matinence, need lots of room, and literally call out miles to each other) in tiny cages, and they are SO STRESSED. She also keeps accepting surrender reticulated pythons (also really large and high matinence animals) in TINY CAGES THAT ARE ABOUT THE SIZE OF THEM FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE. I can't imagine how these owners would feel if they know they surrendered their animals into this :( Cat also buys baby birds all the time and then she doesn't show up to feed them, which is supposed to be once or twice a day. MULIPLE of these babies have died because she will not show up to feed them, and she refuses to train any other employee to do it. Also the quarantine area that the sick animals (who need the MOST care) is literally just tiny tubs with no lighting or no heat. When an animal is paced into QT, there is a very high chance it will die in there. Cat constantly assigns herself to the role of taking care of the QT animals, and almost EVERY time she did this I would have to go in on my own time and clean out these tubs because cat would leave them DISGUSTING and just go home??? This job has made me very weary of the exotics community as I have seen so many animals suffer and die at this job due to human negligence. Not to mention the feeder rats and boarding pets are kept in horrible cramped and dirty enclosures too, the boarding prices are WAY too high for the fact your pet will most likely be kept in a tiny cage and the cage will barely be cleaned. Please do not board or surrender your animal at this store, as you will just be leaving it in worse hands. She also buys wild caught animals, and many of them die due to the stress and lack of proper care :( it's extremely sad to see.

They get told to talk about issues they are having but then get told excuses for other people behavior. "Some people have strengths and some people have weaknesses", is how it was addressed why half the crew worked harder than the rest. The hard working people get run off when the people who slack but don't complain get to stay. It doesn't matter how well you clean, how well you handle harder to adopt animals, it doesn't even matter if you creat a huge community project for the entire company, you will only get paid $8, and can get fired without a reason.
