I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Petco. The customer service is consistently poor. When going to checkout, there is often no one behind the counter, leaving customers standing there waiting without assistance. I scheduled grooming appointments for both of my dogs a week in advance. I received a call about one of them saying they had to cancel because they overbooked large dogs. This created a major inconvenience for me, and the staff acted as though the situation was somehow my fault rather than taking responsibility for their scheduling error. When I brought my second dog to her confirmed appointment, I was told I shouldn't even be there because they "didn't have room." They initially took her back and placed her on a lead, but shortly after, they brought her back out and refused to groom her, stating she was uncooperative and would not be seen there. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally and without clear communication. Overall, this experience felt disorganized and disrespectful of my time. I will not be returning. read more

went an purchased a snake. had snake in the box and signed contract when the "manager" Ashley Sheckler took it from us because she decided to buy it after her shift was over! for one we were told that petco doesnt hold snakes but it was ok to do so for the manager. we were literally swiping our credit card when this occurred. felt bad for the sales associate who got us the snake as he felt bad for us and kept apologizing. the manager however was a total bitch and rude! we have filed a formal complaint to petco. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this location. For one, the employees I've met have been super helpful and courteous. One employee even helped me tremendously with advice for my turtle. The store has been well-stocked and has the supplies I need. I wish the cat food area was larger, mainly more selection of wet food, but they do have a ton of high-quality cans and pouches. I love how many dog treats they have. Seriously, the selection ranges from small meat products to lavish canine cookies. The animals in store seem to be very taken care of, which is very important to me since I've seen some very awful conditions in other stores. The store is very clean, even after accidents. I've seen the employees immediately get to cleaning on a pet accident, and that's amazing since it's always my luck to step in any dog poo within 10 miles haha. I really like this location, and it's one I stop at nearly every time I'm in the area. read more

I visited this location with my 85 year old mom. My father died 2 weeks prior she wanted to restart her fish bowl. She had previous fish experience in which her beta had lived almost 3 years in an aquaponic environment. First, we could not find staff to assist us in aquatics. Finally, a curt clerk arrived and mom asked her some questions. She kept telling my mother that the fish needed a heater, filter and large tank. We excused her as we realized her goal was to oversell to a elderly woman. Mom, who has vast experience with betas decided to just get a fish and leave. debated on which fish to purchase. Realize these betas are kept in about 8 ounces of water in essentially a deli single serving take out cup. She settled on a fish and found the food, clarifier and net needed. When we approached the check out, the checker said she had been told by the clerk to refuse to sell mom the fish unless she bought a large tank and set up. She smugly said our type were not welcome. We left and were able to make our purchase at a nearby aquarium store. The clerks were so rude, I highly recommend others to shop elsewhere. read more

This guy Christopher licked his finger and used it to open my bag that is just nasty alone in itself!! But then you have the risk of spreading diseases which makes it worse!! Then gets an attitude with me when I say I don't want that bag I grab my own and ask him to drop my item out of the bag he usedand he says no and put that bag in my cart that is just gross!! That is just plain nasty and to get an attitude because you're wrong is crazy!! read more

This Petco is pretty good overall. Fish are the only pets I keep, so this review is biased in that direction. I purchase most of my aquarium supplies here and have a Petco Pals rewards account, which lets you spend $5 for free after you spend $100. I can normally find someone working in the fish section if I have a question or need assistance. They stock quality aquariums, stands, and accessories. There is a good variety of fish food, treats, and other products. I purchase my live aquarium plants from this store, and they do very well. They do have those tiny snails on them, so if you don't want pesky snails in your tank, take care to quarantine and clean your plants first. The animals in the store are generally well taken care of. The male betta fish always swim in clean water and are robust and active. I would definitely purchase a male betta from this store. They will make great pets. The other fish tanks are usually good. In some of the tanks, the number is just right where you can see the different habits and personalities of the fish. Today I was browsing, and there were a lot of dead fish in the bottom of the goldfish tank (with other fish nipping at the remains), and a young koi had an issue with its swim bladder. I guess it just goes to show that fish need to go to good homes where they can have plenty of space! read more

I made a grooming appointment for just a bath and a haircut. I was charged $20 more than they said I would be. I didn't add any services on. The groomer said it would take 2-4 hrs and she called within 30 minutes. I go pickup my dog and she wasn't bathed, she still had chunks of stuff in her beard, her loose cut hair was all over her, her fur was extremely uneven, her little beard all botched, her paw pads weren't shaved, she didn't do her anal glands.....what did they do?!! I paid $60 for my poor 7 lb. dog to look worse than she did before the appointment and I had to bathe her when I got home. I still have to pay to take her somewhere else to fix this crap job. read more

From freshwater fishes to salt water. They have it all here. They seem to care, tanks are all nice and clean, fishes look healthy and happy! Shout out to Tyler ( he manages the fish ) he knows what's he doing and he knows everything about fishes . give that man a raise !!! Wow! Petco is definitely the best pet store in Yukon and is even worth a drive from west or South side OKC. They have pets available for adoption but only cats when I went. They have a huge fish selection and birds as well. The store is so bright and beautiful. Everything is neatly organized, and they staff the cash registers fully enough that you don't have to wait long to check out. read more

I've got a sick kitty that some days feels like I'm keeping her alive more for me and my daughter than her. She takes medicine and needs Royal Canin GI with fiber response. The dog got ahold of her very expensive bag of food. So my luck... our vet had ordered it but it wasn't in yet. Nobody's fault (maybe the dog). So, I go on a quest with my vet paper script for the food. Petco was my fourth stop. I was frazzled by then. It was 5:30p, I hadn't started dinner and I had to be at a band boosters meeting to turn in raffle tickets. I just want to thank the manager for making a call to help me find Chloe's food. Petco didn't have it bc it requires a vet on site. It meant a lot to me for that act of kindness. I did get her food. It's scary to wake up at 2am and she's making this pain sound bc she can't go to the litter box. This food helps her so much. Thanks again. Did a walk-in on Saturday morning...Extremely helpful and my dog Milly loved her spa day. Even got a massage! I love the cut and Milly acts as if she is a celebrity now. Couldn't have been happier with Lislie, who was her stylist. Milly and I are definitely looking forward to going back...they said they will call to remind me when it is time!!! Gotta LOVE it!
