I looked online for a plant. Steve's had it I was in luck. not to mention it was 5.99 a steal at two dollars less than the other lf. I get to the store they have large ones listed as 7.99. I look for other I see some listed under assorted misc 7.99. I ask an employee if they have any of these listed online for the 5.99 price point. he looks like he doesn't know what I'm talking about. he starts going tank to tank looking. I ask if they can honor the price online. I'm told the price is only updated in the morning and isn't for the plants that they received today they sold out of mine earlier. okay I say can you match the price. finally the asm says he can. great I'd like 4 please. as we get to the tank one of the other employees keeps trying to tell me why the price is different. I've already accused them of bait and switch. at this point with the asm trying to help me and the other guy telling me why I'm wrong I decide to leave. as I leave I pull up the stores number to call and talk with the owner who was worse than the first guy. she was terrible. In reply: you actually told me I'm sorry I can't help you. I told you, you lost a customer and you said I'm sorry we couldn't help you. But have the day you deserve. read more

Without a doubt the best place to get aquatic pets. The staff is friendly and very helpful and all genuinely seem like they want to be there and are passionate about helping you be a successful aquarium owner. I've never had anything even remotely close to a bad encounter. Edit: Negative reviews are very obviously written by people who have spent absolutely no time researching how to maintain a healthy aquarium themselves, which is no fault of the store. Found out about this establishment by my husband's coworker. We've been there 3 times so far after purchasing our first tank from them. If you own/desire a large or saltwater aquarium, Wet Pets can offer you way more than a chain, unspecialized pet store can. The store is teeming with friendly and knowledgeable associates. There are lots of buying options for large tanks. They offer good water for your tanks that you don't have to treat and balance yourself. If you bring a container, you can pay cents per gallon. They also offer water testing, so bring a sample of your own water while you're at it. It's cool to just look around the store too. I started and kept a small aquarium. I purchased a vigorously active male betta from them. The bettas are kept in clean containers at the store, but I have never seen another betta as energetic as that one. I purchased water treatments, medicines, and live plants at the store too. I don't think the live plants are free from snails. My aquarium soon had a nice population going. There are ways to get rid of the snail eggs before you put them in the tank, so definitely do that. read more

I've bought all my fish here and my cichlid tank is flourishing. Every staff member is helpful with their own individual insight. I've been busy with work lately and doing monthly water changes hasn't been easy. LUIS came to the house and did a superb job at cleaning and changing the water. Truly feel like these people only care about how much money you spend in store and the owner absolutely refuses to admit any flaws in some of the staff there I wouldn't go buying an expensive salt water fish here we spend over 100.00$ on a Rabbit fish from this store for him to die in 3 weeks had our water tested by them said everything looked great and they cant really tell us what happened all of my fish water and anything in the tank has come from this store I think we will be looking for a new place to buy our fish from a place that values your money and time and takes ownership for selling you a sick fish also if you're not an expert on fish just ask Steve himself! he will gladly tell you how like he told us oh well out a fish and money the owner does not care and no wonder they don't offer any type of guarantee read more

This has got to be the coolest Aquarium/Pet store that I've ever been to! The HUGE display tank in the middle of the room is filled with some of the coolest and most beautiful fish that I've ever seen! You can tell that the fish are as heathery as can be because there are many large ones that clearly have been well taken care of. The section with fish that you can purchase is quite large with a wide variety of both fresh and salt water fish. Plus they sell tons of plants, snails, crabs and other fun creatures/things for your tanks! I can't wait to come back again soon! read more

This place is the absolute worst. Great customer service and clean store. However their fish are sick and overpriced. I bought 6 female guppies from this location and was informed they had been medicated for everything. Brought them home and let them sit for 20 minutes before adding them. After 24 hours every fish in the tank was dead, including fish that had been in there for months and were healthy. These guppies were also more expensive than petsmart, a store that does medicated their system. Never returning. Waste of time and money. read more

This place is great! Very clean, spacious, and a large selection of fresh and saltwater fish, coral, supplies, and medications/chemicals. It's true that places like a large PetsMart would have a greater selection of decorations, but these things are far less important than knowledgeable and passionate staff who aren't just punching the clock at a big box retail chain. I spoke with two different very knowledgeable staff who confirmed things I had researched extensively online and gave me some useful tidbits I wouldn't have known just from home research. I am quite new to fish-keeping and the employees have always answered my abundance of questions and helped me to find the best items for my tank. I went to Wet Pets last Saturday to buy fish for our new aquarium with my kids. Rachel was our helper. She was AMAZING! Our aquarium belongs to my 9 year old, and she talked about every fish with him and helped him pick out the right combo for our tank. She was so patient and kind with the kids. If I could give a Zero Star I would! I called Wet Pets and talked on the phone to an employee for 15-20 minutes about a pump for my pond. He told me the pumps they had say they are for tanks but that they work for ponds. So I went in and bought a $270 pump. I took it home and it was definitely not compatible with a pond. As anyone knows when dealing with a pond you are outside. So I had sat the pump down next to me which caused the outside of the pump to be dirty. I packed the pump back up in the box and drove it back to the store within an hour or two of buying it. When returning it the worker at the desk was very kind and said he just needed his boss to approve the return. After about 10 minutes a man comes up to me smiling and says "Are you trying to return this?" I said yes and he said "Would you accept this back in this condition?" And I was very confused because there wasn't anything wrong with it I had only had it a couple of hours. He was EXTREMELY rude and after I explained that regardless of what he thought about the pump they did not give any information to me about a return policy saying that I couldn't return it. He said "We didn't need to tell you about a return policy because we didn't think you would return it" THEN he says "I will take it back but there is a 20% return fee so I can't refund you all of your money." At this point all I could say was "okay" but I was thinking, if they have a return policy that they will only return 80% of your money then YES they would have known its possible for someone to need to return items and therefore they should have said something. While I was waiting for the worker to finalize my return the manager/boss was standing off to the side talking to another employee and bad mouthing me about returning a product with dirt on it. I was so mortified and felt completely taken advantage of since they are the ones who told me to buy it for $280!!! And then when what they sold me wasn't correct they acted as if I was some terrible person! I took my 80% return and left because I was scared and belittled. This was about 3 weeks ago. I didn't say anything at the time because I felt like I had already taken the return and there was nothing I could do about it anymore. Today I receive a call from Wet Pets saying they have decided that I "opened the pump and changed out the rotator inside" and so they are not going to refund me at all. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! Number 1: I obviously don't even know enough about pumps to know which one goes to a pond (Which is why I called and ask them before I ever went there to buy it). Number 2: I didn't have the pump long enough to alter anything about it!!! I have NEVER in my life experienced customer service like this! The employees are kind and helpful but whoever the manager is he is the most horrible person. And if he is Steve he should really think about going into a business where he does not come in contact with human beings... EVER. read more

This place is amazing! I had been wanting to check this store out for a while but live in Edmond. I finally decided to head down there and I am very glad I did. Upon walking in everything is extremely clean and organized. The workers greet you and they have a lot of fish! Their selection of saltwater fish is very large and they have a decent selection of freshwater fish. All of their tanks are absolutely beautiful and have gorgeous amazing fish in them. I wasnt looking to purchase fish today but when I am I will be getting them from Steve's wet pets! They also have a lot of decor and rocks by the pound in the back. I even asked for advice on how to help my female Betta with clamped fins and was directed to a product and I'm pretty sure it may have been Steve who helped me and he was very friendly and helpful. I am prone to asking questions that where I already know the answer to guage how much I can trust the info they give me since most seem content with giving out info that isn't accurate. These folks actually impressed me. They also seem to have about any piece or part you may need in addition to good selection of products. All these reviews dont match our experience...family went in to buy a live plant for small aquarium. This store sold a plant infested with snail eggs and the aquarium is overrun by snails and totally contaminated. Replacing everything will be in excess of $150.00 because of this reckless behavior by the store that ruined our aquarium . Research indicates this is fairly common which we did not know and NOT ONE WORD WAS MENTIONED ABOUT THIS BY THE STAFF. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

Best possible choice in aquaria related products. Prices are comparable to big box retailers or even cheaper. For specialty items they meet or beat on-line. My thermometer that regulates the heat for my reef tank had stopped working. I called Taylor at Wet Pets and he asked me what size reef tank I have and he knew exactly what I needed. I told him that we live in Yukon and it was already 5:30pm and I35 Southbound on a Fri night is hell. He told me not to worry and to take our time in getting to their store. We got there there with 5min to spare and he had my thermostat heater at the register good to go. This place is awesome. They have reef stuff,salt and fresh water fish,plants too. Absolutely the best fish store I have ever been in. They are super knowledgeable in fish we live 2 and a half hours away and had to make the trip every weekend for a month because we were starting a salt water tank. I don't regret any of it they have great prices and friendly faces. The staff is great, but do not buy live rock from this store. The tanks that they cure the live rock in are infested with pest anemones. They will infest your tank quickly and are almost impossible to get rid of once they multiply, which they do rather quickly. read more

I went here in order to get some antibiotics for my betta and was incredibly disappointed to find that they sell the same cruel, minuscule tanks for bettas that Petsmart and Petco sell. I expected better from a specialized fish store! Bettas need at the very least 2.5 gallons to be happy and healthy. I spoke with the guy at the front counter and he informed me that "well, I guess fish like to swim, but if you change the water often it's fine." These are tanks of less than a gallon per betta - by the same logic I could keep a dog in a closet and it would be fine if I cleaned it every day, even though I guess dogs like to run.
