Their hot tub covers are made using substandard materials. Kelly at prestige claims they're only made to last 2 years. I call BS on that. # Looking to file a class action lawsuit let me know if you're interested at #prestigespacovers. Contrary to what Kelly C. Says,"she told me 2 yrs is how long these covers last . I can buy a better made one for less than my so called discount. Plus should I have to buy oneevery couple years ?

The worst spa covers in the world. Stay away from this company. See attached pictures. Especially the glowing Google review from Harley Ostlund, who also happens to be the General Manager of the company... Cover began to degrade after only two years of regular usage. What you see below is a four year old cover. Four years. Contacted customer service regarding their supposed five year warranty, and they asked that I pay $280.00 + $108.00 for a replacement. So, $388.00 for a warranty replacement of another terrible spa cover. And when I complained that they were basically scamming their customers and that I would write an honest review and go to the BBB about their practices, they dropped the price of the cover to $200.00. But still $108.00 for shipping. No thanks. Since then, I've been working with spadepot.com and they've been excellent. 4.3 stars on Google, 60+ reviews, same prices.

Seams leak!

My wife and I decided to change our hot tub cover last year to a thicker more insulted cover to save on electric bills. The old cover worked great. It just could have been thicker. We ordered a replacement cover from Florida Spa Covers who sells Prestige Spa Covers. The cover arrived in a well-packed box and we installed it the next day. We had no issues for the first six to eight months. Then, more and more, we noticed the cover getting heavy and soaked with water. It started requiring the two of us to swing it back on the arm. When we did prop it up water came pouring out through the seams! This happened after rain storms. The next thing we noticed was that the water level in the hot tub was getting higher after rain storms. We contacted Florida Spa Covers who told us we need to contact Prestige Spa Covers (PSC) about the problem. Here is the order of events after that initial phone call: 1) Contacted PSC. PSC told us that the inserts need to be flipped and that would fix the problem. I did not see why that would matter but inserts were flipped and the problem still occurred. Water was still coming into the cover and the hot tub. Note that the inside of the cover where the inserts are stored was covered in mold from being wet. We spent a lot of time cleaning the mold. 2) PSC told us that they would send new inserts. Inserts came and were installed. Water still came into the covers and into the pool. 3) PSC told us to flip the inserts. That would fix the problem. Inserts flipped and problem still occurred. Water still came into the covers and into the pool. Mold again. 4) PSC sent us a huge shower cap device to cover the hot tub. That obviously worked but it took at a minimum two of us to put it on every time we used the tub. It is huge and is a one-size-fits-all cap. Color does not match what we paid for making it stick out like a sore thumb on our color matched hot tub and deck. Why should we have to struggle to put a cover onto a cover that was itself made to cover a hot tub! I am a retired engineer and at this point in time I decided to do some experimentation to see how all this water was coming into the hot tub. I used plastic and tape and first put water only on the middle seam. Very little if any water at all came into the inside of the cover. I then sealed the center off 8" on each side and sprayed the remaining cover. Water got inside the cover. I then only sprayed the left side and water came into the left side only. Same results with the right side. Finally, I sprayed along the top and let it fall over a small part of the edge seam. Water inside. All this done with the center section still sealed from any water. The conclusion is that the seams leak. By leaking I mean a LOT of water gets inside the cover. After a typical North Carolina rain storm we need to empty the vinyl white covers AND at least five gallons out of the tub. Last week we emptied two five gallon buckets and had to rebalance the pool yet again because of outside water. I let PSC see pictures of all of my experiments. Here is PSC's response to our request for either a fix (other than the huge cap) or our money back is: "I reviewed the photos with my team and unfortunately our covers are not 100% waterproof. We can offer you a cover cap to help keep the water out at no cost. It's similar to a shower cap for your hair." I fully realize that the cover is not waterproof but it is not even good at being water resistant! Buyer beware! We highly recommend that you do not purchase a spa cover through Florida Spa Covers who use Prestige Spa Covers as their manufacturer. If you do you are wasting your hard-earned money and will be a slave to hot tub draining, mold and the higher chemical cost of maintenance. Go elsewhere!

Pool Perfection builds a top notch quality pool. The whole backyard renovation pool and sunken outdoor Kitchen has made our own piece of paradise everything we could have wished for. We waited a while to submit the review as with any pool project things happen. Pool perfection PM made sure the build went smoothly, any questions or concerns were always addressed in a timely manner. As for the warranty process, we had to have tile replaced within our 1 year warranty period. Max the PM did an amazing job coordinating the new tile selection, to the installation that was completed in one day. Additionally he had the pool cleaned good before restarting the pool. All while standing behind the new tile install to include an additional year warranty on the new tile. We are back up and running and ready to enjoy our piece of paradise once again. If we had to do this again we would most certainly have Pool Perfection doing the work. We appreciate each and every person that had involvement in the process. Thank you!

Pool Perfection completed a largescale repair and remodel of our older pool. The scope of work…read moreincluded: Simplify all pool equipment plumbing by reducing the original system from three-pumps to one pump without losing any functionality. Replace all pool equipment with current models. Install a new auto-drain/fill system. Install a new main drain and skimmer. Remove and replace pool coping, tile, and interior finish. Remove spa skimmer and replace venturi jets. Install a new sun shelf. Replace only the deck around the spa with pavers. All work to be done while preserving the condition of the original pool and patio tile deck. Most of the work took place during a three-month period from August to October. The initial time line from beginning to end was estimated to be four months. With the complications of two major hurricanes it actually turned out to be five months. I recommend scheduling work outside hurricane season. Negatives: Towards the end of the job the contract allowed for the withholding of an amount of money to compel compliance from Pool Perfection. The amount seemed insufficient to be effective as an incentive. Consider negotiating a larger amount. The project manager made some important decisions without consulting me; for example, creating two staging areas that damaged more of my yard; and choosing the location for the new pool heater. The latter decision had to be reversed but not without a contentious exchange during which an incorrect claim was made about code requirements. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction. "Pool School" provided instruction on how to use the new equipment and was the official handover of control back to us. During demonstration some of the new system was being tested for the first time. Problems were identified and had to be repaired before we could finish school. Complete testing beforehand would have provided a less confusing learning experience. Positives: A 3D depiction of the completed pool design was very helpful to visualize the intended improvements and confirm we were both sharing the same vision for the project. An improvement to the original design of the sun shelf was later suggested and a new superior design was adopted without added cost. The scope of work made it difficult to protect the pool and patio decking but they went to extensive lengths to make sure it was protected from damage during demo and construction. An exposed pool pipe was buried deeper underground after I made mention of it during construction. The task was not originally a part of the scope of work but was completed anyways. Pool Perfection is protective of their on-line reputation. They frequently reminded me to leave a review. I have no doubt this inspires them to work hard to please the customer. Tracie, Meghan, Yvonne, Nicole and all of the office staff always answered the phone or responded to emails in a timely manner. Every craftsman I came in contact with was a true professional and easy to work with. The demo team, construction crew, tile installers, and troubleshooters, all were hardworking and very considerate. Special recognition to Ray for the design, Kevin and Aiden the project managers, and Shai for building such a professional team. We couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks to all. I would place Pool Perfection in the class of contractors that one might see on home improvement tv shows and hope to find locally.

Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! I love this family owned business, they care and are meticulous with their work. Even though I hope we don't have another broken pump, it is reassuring to know Dutchcraft does great work and they are trustworthy and I can contact them should we ever need.. David and Denise

We interviewed 6 pool installation companies, and the one that heard, listened, and created the most appropriate solution for us was Hollywood Pools and Spas. They built a pool and patio that have met our needs perfectly. We have a new pool within the shell of the old (35x15) pool, deep enough for vertical water aerobics (6'3" instead of 8') and an adequate size to accommodate whatever and whoever!! The Hydrazzo finish is beautifully smooth, and the Shellock pavers promise us many years of worry-free living. They need no sealing and complement the bronzy tones of the back of our house. A major concern for us was storm generated water coming in the back of our house and screened porch (slightly downhill from the pool). 4" drains liberally installed were the perfect solution to sending water to the side yards. We experienced no serious water-related problems from Hurricanes Debby, Helene or Milton. Yes, there were some hiccups, but all concerns were suitably resolved. Thank you Ron, Joe, Jessica, Chad, Tanner and all the related subcontractors. That was the year that was!! Thankfully, Elite Pool Designs put all of our fears to rest thanks to their amazing customer service, fair prices and excellent, high quality work. We previously had a koi pond in our backyard but, as the fish died out, realized we wanted something else back there instead. We reached out to Elite Pool and Cyndi and she came over the next day to assess our yard. As we had no idea where to start, she helped guide us through the whole process, connecting us with surveyors, tree removal experts and all of the other hidden things you don't think about when you decide "I want a pool". After the work to get the yard ready was done, we went to the Elite Pool offices to pick out the tile, lining and design of the pool. Cyndi walked us through the shape and features we wanted, and provided a very reasonable quote for everything, including, automation, a heater for the pool (hey it DOES sometime get cold here!) and a screen enclosure. Construction for the pool started in October 2024 and finished in late January 2025, and our hat goes off to Robert (owner of Elite Pool) for his help with managing the entire project. Crews arrived as needed and on time, and though there were some periods between steps where not a lot of work was being done, it was never unreasonable and given the holidays, totally fair. Inspection and electrical were simple and easy and now we are ready to enjoy our pool! For anyone in our same position, looking to install a pool from scratch but not sure where to turn, Elite Pool Design should be your first call, can't recommend them highly enough!
