Pool Perfection builds a top notch quality pool. The whole backyard renovation pool and sunken outdoor Kitchen has made our own piece of paradise everything we could have wished for. We waited a while to submit the review as with any pool project things happen. Pool perfection PM made sure the build went smoothly, any questions or concerns were always addressed in a timely manner. As for the warranty process, we had to have tile replaced within our 1 year warranty period. Max the PM did an amazing job coordinating the new tile selection, to the installation that was completed in one day. Additionally he had the pool cleaned good before restarting the pool. All while standing behind the new tile install to include an additional year warranty on the new tile. We are back up and running and ready to enjoy our piece of paradise once again. Pool Perfection completed a largescale repair and remodel of our older pool. The scope of work included: Simplify all pool equipment plumbing by reducing the original system from three-pumps to one pump without losing any functionality. Replace all pool equipment with current models. Install a new auto-drain/fill system. Install a new main drain and skimmer. Remove and replace pool coping, tile, and interior finish. Remove spa skimmer and replace venturi jets. Install a new sun shelf. Replace only the deck around the spa with pavers. All work to be done while preserving the condition of the original pool and patio tile deck. Most of the work took place during a three-month period from August to October. The initial time line from beginning to end was estimated to be four months. With the complications of two major hurricanes it actually turned out to be five months. I recommend scheduling work outside hurricane season. Negatives: Towards the end of the job the contract allowed for the withholding of an amount of money to compel compliance from Pool Perfection. The amount seemed insufficient to be effective as an incentive. Consider negotiating a larger amount. The project manager made some important decisions without consulting me; for example, creating two staging areas that damaged more of my yard; and choosing the location for the new pool heater. The latter decision had to be reversed but not without a contentious exchange during which an incorrect claim was made about code requirements. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction. "Pool School" provided instruction on how to use the new equipment and was the official handover of control back to us. During demonstration some of the new system was being tested for the first time. Problems were identified and had to be repaired before we could finish school. Complete testing beforehand would have provided a less confusing learning experience. Positives: A 3D depiction of the completed pool design was very helpful to visualize the intended improvements and confirm we were both sharing the same vision for the project. An improvement to the original design of the sun shelf was later suggested and a new superior design was adopted without added cost. The scope of work made it difficult to protect the pool and patio decking but they went to extensive lengths to make sure it was protected from damage during demo and construction. An exposed pool pipe was buried deeper underground after I made mention of it during construction. The task was not originally a part of the scope of work but was completed anyways. Pool Perfection is protective of their on-line reputation. They frequently reminded me to leave a review. I have no doubt this inspires them to work hard to please the customer. Tracie, Meghan, Yvonne, Nicole and all of the office staff always answered the phone or responded to emails in a timely manner. Every craftsman I came in contact with was a true professional and easy to work with. The demo team, construction crew, tile installers, and troubleshooters, all were hardworking and very considerate. Special recognition to Ray for the design, Kevin and Aiden the project managers, and Shai for building such a professional team. We couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks to all. We had a great experience building our pool with Pool Perfection. Kevin and his team were very responsive and helpful from start to finish. From dig to first swim it took 4 weeks and 6 days! We received updates about what was going on every couple days from Kevin with a tentative schedule of who was going to be there and what day. I was able to call and text Kevin as I had questions, but he was actively communicating to me most of the time, so it was great. Let's start at the very beginning. Steve came out to look at our property and give us a quote for a pool. We clicked pretty well with him and after a couple of drawing revisions, signed a contract on March 30, 2019. We were told to expect roughly 6-8 weeks for permits and another 6-8 for the build. In our minds, we should have a pool in 16 weeks, give or take a week or 2 because we know how these things go... Late in May, Steve emailed us saying that they were finalizing the permitting. June 1 we got our HOA approval. June 10, we email Steve to check on our status, as we hadn't heard anything from Pool Perfection outside of the May 28 email. He advised that we were on the calendar for June 23 for yard stripping and June 27 for pool shot, as long as there were no hiccups with permits. Ok....This is week 13, going into week 14. On June 26, we send another email, as nothing had been done. He advises that we're now on the calendar for July 7 for yard stripping and July 11 for concrete. Granted, there was a good bit of rain, however there were days on days on days with no rain or activity. Emailed on July 27, asking for a status update as nothing at all has happened and we had not heard a single peep - they advised that they were waiting on our permit to come sometime that week. Steve had said on May 28 that they were finalizing permitting. Um, what?! This is now week 18. We should be swimming by this point, not waiting on a permit. Other people I had talked to in the surrounding neighborhoods had pools done from permit to final inspection in 12 weeks. 18 weeks before even having a permit is absolutely ridiculous. The ball got dropped somewhere, but no one was going to take responsibility for it. The week of July 30, while we were out of town, they started stripping the yard. Week 18. Finally! Should have a finished pool in the next 6 weeks. Ha. The communication from this point on laughable. There was hardly any at all whatsoever - I got more calls about other people's project updates than I did for ours. We didn't really know who our project manager was for a while, but it didn't matter because he ended up getting fired mid-way through September. The only time we heard much of anything from anyone at Pool Perfection was when the next draw was due. And god forbid if we weren't home when they came knocking - they even chased me down at work to pick up a check. Once we'd pay, we wouldn't hear much or see much work happening for a while...this lovely pattern continued throughout the remainder of the project. The next project manager we had was the owner, as it turns out. We had to walk him through the project, show him things that hadn't yet been done, etc. He seemed as frustrated with the poor management of the project as we were, which at the time seemed helpful, but things still took time to get completed. Not his fault, I'm sure he had inherited quite a few projects when they fired the other guy. But still...it shouldn't have ever been allowed to get to this point. On October 18, we had our final inspection. 29 WEEKS. Granted, there was a good bit of rain this summer, but good grief. There were no apologies or explanations for the delays, and no responsibility taken for the mismanagement of our project. Outside of the timeline, the pool is beautiful and seemingly well done. Unfortunately, our kids didn't get to enjoy it this summer before school started, as we had hoped, but cest la vie. Thankfully, they like cold water.... Another note worth mentioning: I received several phone calls from various team members at Pool Perfection that were not for our project - they had my phone number on someone else's project paperwork somehow, so beware. In summary, if you like *not* knowing the status of your project, enjoy being chased down for more $, lack of accountability/responsibility, and you have unlimited patience, then maybe Pool Perfection is right for you. But we would take our nearly $50K elsewhere if we had to start all over. read more

BUYER BEWARE We had pool perfection install our pool back in late 2017. They installed the pavers around the pool using an orange sand which as rain fell ran over the pavers and have caused stains. This would not be a big deal if it was addressed but we have been attempting to get pool perfection out here for almost 9 months to address it. I have called several times and have been told someone would call me the next day. That has continued not to happen. So we currently not only have a company that has not addressed the repairs but also have an unresponsive company who is not following through with their commitments to respond to warranty inquiries. I will continue to try to get this issue addressed with their warranty department and will update or remove this review if it is completed. Pictures are below. read more

We had 5 pool companies come out and give us an estimate. Kevin came he wasn't a sales guy he was the owner and he knew exactly what he was talking about. He met our budget and went over and beyond then what we expected. During the process he was very personal and professional. As promised we were swimming on the 12th week with 2200sqft of completed travertine Including design changes. It's been very hard to find a honest hard working company. Kevin and his team has made this process easier then ever for us. We also recommended Kevin to my parents which live a house down from us and which they also had a smooth process like us. Kevin is honest and dependable, My husband is a contractor and we know how hard it is to find good honest quality craftsmanship. We highly recommend his company!!! read more

Buyer Beware If you are considering using Pool Perfection because the good reviews seemed to outnumber the bad reviews, like we did, BUYER BEWARE! Pool Perfection does not make their customers a priority. We placed a down payment in June 2020 with an agreement to start on October 1, 2020. We were told it would take 6 weeks. Three months later (end of December), after many headaches and delays, the project was finally completed to a satisfactory rating. Considering the amount of money we paid to have the pool refinished with Stonescapes, new pool border tiles, coping, and pavers around deck area, you would think that Pool Perfection would treat their customers better. NOT ONE TIME did anyone from the owner of the company to the sub-contractors arrive when they said they would. It was customary for them to show up several days to a week later. I called the company 3 times asking to speak to an owner about the subpar work, and the owner never called me until he wanted his money. When the pavers were installed around the deck area, the sub-contractors were extremely careless by leaving oil marks from their saws, as well as red and black scuff marks on the pavers. At least 80 pavers needed to be replaced because of their carelessness. Days later the company sent someone out to "wash" them, however their attempts were unsuccessful. By washing the pavers, white spots were now left on the stained pavers. The third time they showed up to replace the damaged and stained pavers, the sub-contractors arrived a little before 5 pm, and in December it is nearly dark outside. So needless to say, it still was not done correctly. Days later when the Stonescape plaster was installed, further issues were created. There was plaster splattered around the pool deck leaving blue on several pavers and coping around the pool. When this was addressed, we were told they could replace the coping, but by doing that it could have a "trickle-down" effect, possibly breaking tiles and create further issues with the completed work and Stonescape lining. The plaster that could be removed was scrapped off with a razor knife and the smaller amounts are still there. We requested a 4th time to have someone at a minimum fix the pavers. The owner Shay DEMANDED that we pay the remaining balance of $4,674.00 or it would not be fixed. Shay sent someone to our residence the very next day (hours later than the scheduled time) to collect the payment before he would send anyone to fix the pavers. Days later someone arrived to fix the remaining pavers. At this point we did not have enough pavers remaining to replace the damaged ones and had to pick from the best of the damaged/marked pavers that had been removed originally to complete the pool deck. In addition, we had to clean up trash and re-sod a section or our yard. When this was addressed, Shay informed us that "pool construction causes grass damage which is disclosed and expected and not covered in the agreement." As the project finally came to an end I received a text from Shay in the middle of a work day asking "How did we do?" He knew I was not happy and when I did not respond within 2 hours his next text was "That Bad, LOL." There is nothing LOL about a sub par $18,000 pool remodel. Pool Perfection just finished resurfacing our pool, and we couldn't be happier. We got quotes from several companies, and theirs was very competitive. But it was Kevin, the owner, who really won the job. He was super to work with, and was very patient when it came to explaining different options. All of the guys who came out to do the work were great; courteous, friendly and professional. We have 2 cats and a dog, and they were very careful to make sure that no one escaped from the lanai! We also had Pool Perfection add a step into the spa and handrails for the spa and pool, and these turned out exactly as we had pictured. Can't say enough good things about this company! read more

Call them- these folks are great. We researched pool folks for the past two years and just completed a four moth project tonight. The pool is without equal. We live in a waterfront neighborhood where most if not all of our neighbors have had pool renovations or new pools in the last five years. To a person, our pool is without equal.
