Contacted 4 pool contractors, 3 provided estimates site unseen. Tom of Oasis P&P came on site, explained the process, whipped out an elevation tool and took 30+ elevation measurements that constructed a drainage plan of the topology. This was a critical step to identify the quantity of fill/paver base to obtain the elevation needed to meet drainage plan requirements After signing the contract to build and a visit to the home office to pick tile and surface, the build was off and running with Tom S., the project manager, overseeing every step in the process. In addition to Tom, Rob, (company founder?) joined Tom to go over drainage plan. Rob offered some amazing changes which reduced the cost by $4,200 by eliminating linear drains, replacing the water flow with ever so slight elevation change and swale to one drain that then routed to the street (a Dunedin engineering requirement) Oasis has some mighty fine sub's what I will mention by name here: 1) Site excavation - Austin/Preston running the equipment for his father's company, 18Mar2025 2) Pool shell build - unknown name, but heck of a job 3) Shotcrete - G&P shot crete, Oscar 4) Plumber - Humberto, holy cow cannot say enough good things. The two young workers dug a trench 40' x 36" wide and layed several hundred feet of sch 40 PVC for two bubblers, two main drains, two vacuum lines, 3 returns and two pool LED lights. An additional 1' x 36" deep x 35' for future electric and water for an outdoor kitchen. 5) Tile and coping - Ivan, masterful 6) Paver crew - OMG, Primo is the man's name, at least that what he answers too, what a crew!! 5,600 sf of pavers, worked 12 hour days, nailed the drainage plan, implemented the drain to the street and laughed, had fun doing it. The lead, Google translate worked well for detailed conversation but simple things Primo knows enough english to get the job done. This crew accomplished amazing things with pavers and this job was not a simple one on top of being fairly large. We're not to completion yet, but anticipate paver completion the week of 21Apr and pool surface the week of 28Apr2025. We will be swimming in May. One VERY satisfied Oasis Pavers and Pools customer

Our pool was started the Monday before Thanksgiving and we were in it by Valentine's day! John Lalley did a wonderful job designing the pool on the spot, editing features as we explained our wishes, rather than telling us he would send us the designs later like other companies did. Our project manager, Todd Borsadi, was excellent. He communicated with us constantly and if we had questions, he answered our texts quickly, often within minutes. All of the subcontractors used were excellent and showed up when we were told they would. We were especially impressed with David Akins, the crew leader for Lightening Aluminium. David paid attention to all details, big and small, and checked in to ensure we were happy with every facet of the cage install. The only negative, albeit minor, is that John is your typical fast-talking closer. However, we hired him for his expertise not his personality and he DID deliver what he promised. Not only do we give Lifestyle pools 5 stars, we have already recommended them to friends, who are currently at the PebbleSheen stage of their install, and they are equally pleased. All in all, we highly recommend Lifestyle Pool and Spa. You will find cheaper but you will not find a better value.

We interviewed several pool builders in St. Pete, and ultimately landed on Tilney to build a pool/spa/deck for our home. We ended up working with Drew - he's really awesome to work with, took time to listen to our wants, and came up with a great plan, and killed it on execution. When they say it takes 6-8 weeks to finish, they are committing to that - they are on top of their scheduling and very mechanical in ensuring work is completed according to schedule. The pool looks great, the deck looks great, and we're excited to start enjoying the finished product. The most important thing we look for in a contractor is great communication, stands behind their work, and delivers what they say they will. Tilney's team nailed all three of them. Even after getting everything wrapped up, they stood behind some adjustments needed and took time to clearly explain maintenance and equipment use. Would not hesitate to use Tilney again and have recommended to many friends and neighbors already. There's a reason why multiple pools on our block are built by their team. (For comparison/clarity: The others we had considered were Oasis and Sekas. Oasis didn't feel like the right fit - nothing against them but felt like we were more of a cog/widget. Sekas provided a drawing on a napkin for us after 2 months of disappearing, with a price that would make your mouth drop and acted like he was doing us a favor - not sure where that entitlement came from).

I had Pete come out to advise on how to properly cap off pool equipment prior to a house demolition…read moreso it wouldn't be damaged. This was intended to be a paid service visit, but upon arrival he said the work was very simple and that he wasn't even going to charge me, mentioning that he lives in Dunedin as well. Unfortunately, the interaction quickly became unprofessional and disrespectful. When the conversation briefly shifted to pool heating options, I mentioned that I was considering photovoltaic solar panels tied into a heat pump system that would also serve the house. Pete immediately responded by calling this "the singular dumbest idea ever." When I clarified that I was not referring to traditional solar pool-heating panels (roof-mounted water circulation), but rather PV panels feeding a heat pump, he continued to dismiss the idea outright without listening. I made it clear that I would only pursue any option if it made financial sense. Despite that, he repeated that it was "the dumbest idea ever," which was unnecessary and insulting. He then became irritated, said I wasn't listening, and abruptly announced he was leaving. Before leaving, he made an entirely inappropriate comment asking if I was "on psych meds." This remark was made directly to me in a professional service setting and was shocking, offensive, and completely unacceptable. While Pete may have technical experience, his communication style is dismissive and unprofessional. Disagreeing with a customer or choosing not to take on a job is one thing; insulting them and questioning their mental health is another. Prospective customers should be aware of this experience when deciding who to hire.

Our sales person (Dan Meyer) took the time to thoroughly explain every detail to us so we knew exactly what to expect. My husband and I are finance professionals and really take our time evaluating all options before making a decision. Dan was extremely patient with us through the process. We appreciated that the company provided an itemized breakdown of the costs for us so we knew exactly where every dollar spent was going towards. Dan also did a wonderful job creating a unique design for our pool/spa combo. Every other company that came out to give us quotes just drew a basic rectangle shaped pool, but Dan really put time and thought into his design and it showed! We also appreciated that Larsen's provided an all-in quote and would return funds if things weren't needed (like well points), compared to other companies that provided us lower quotes to "win the business", but then said there could be additional expenses. As finance professionals, we like to know exactly how much the project could cost and really appreciated this approach. Once construction began we worked with Jason and things moved quickly! We did have some weather delays, but that was to be expected. My husband is a bit of a perfectionist, so he was constantly checking on the detail of work being completed. If he wanted something changed or corrected, we just let Jason know and a crew was out to make it perfect for us, no questions asked. The level of customer service and communication throughout the entire project was very much appreciated and allows us to enjoy our beautifully finished pool and spa even more. We are SO HAPPY with the final product and the experience we had leading up to it. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Larsen's Pool & Spa to any of our friends and family!

Best company to add pavers, resurface, add new tile and replace our skimmer…read more I have nothing but great things to say about Five Star Pools. We've dealt with many contractors over the years when making updates to our house (my husband isn't handy so we have to outsource everything) and this was one of our best experiences. The manager of our project, Andrew, was a delight. I've learned that although other contractors may do a good job, they may not be great at communication or showing up when they say they will. Not the case with Andrew, the guy is a machine at communication. He responds very quickly to text and if it's a more in depth question he often picks up the phone and calls. Sid, the Office Manager, was also awesome to work with. We went to the showroom to pick out tile and pavers. It was an extremely quick and seamless process. She even sent us home with what we chose to look at it in our backyard lighting. I'll be honest, I only got two quotes before I started and they were very comparable. However, the communication and just overall way the project was handled by this company is what made them win my business. Another friend is completely redoing her pool, got five quotes and this was the best. Two companies didn't even call her back. It's amazing how so many businesses act like they don't need your business. Not the case with Five Star. They said it would take 2-3 weeks and it took 3 weeks with a hurricane interrupting their work. They were very clear upfront about delays due to weather and everyone who came out was respectful and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend them.

I inherited a…read moresmall 30'x9' Pool with a cheaply painted interior, a dilapidated Birdcage Screen Enclosure, and a cracked/chipped concrete patio floor. I knew I would have to renovate the pool as the painted floor and steps inside the pool continued to deteriorate. I carefully researched the how's and why's of various pool renovation projects for about a year, then researched local Pool Renovation companies and their online reviews, and local and state professional licensing and accreditation status of each company. I then selected five companies and had onsite evaluations and estimates. After careful review, in July 2024, I decided to go with Five Star Pool. Why? Because Roman (Owner/Contractor) and Andrew (Project Manager) not only visited twice (but, explained in detail, how the company operated, project requirements, and timeline). Additionally, I had/still have, the extremely efficient and endearing support of Sid (Office Manager), whom I had the pleasure of meeting at least twice, to help me select the materials for the new pool interior (Pebble Sheen-Aqua Cool), Tiles, LED Lighting, Safety Railing (for the steps), and Patio flooring (Maldives Blue Marble), and a last minute decisions to replace the deteriorating white screen enclosure with a new bronze enclosure and adding mosaic tiles to the pool floor and steps. Throughout this approximately six week project (delayed one week due to weather), Five Star Pool and their subcontractors excelled in their constant professionalism, competence, respect for my property, and were always pleasant in their explanations of the various parts of the Project. Surprisingly quieter and efficient in their demolition and re-building of my new pool interior, enclosure and patio flooring; I was less stressed than expected throughout the duration of the project. The required permitting process, for the Enclosure also went smoothly. Minor issues/concerns have/are being handled as expeditiously as possible and with my experience with Five Star Pool, will be resolved to my satisfaction. Now, I have a beautiful/pristine pool, striking screen enclosure, and a gorgeous "cool in the Florida Sun" patio flooring (which I expect to continue during the next 3 "summer" months). My added pool tile mosaics which were perfectly applied, complements the overall beauty of my new pool. In Summary, I am very impressed with the overall project results with Five Star Pool: their staff and sub-contractors. I know I made the right decision in selecting Five Star Pool. They Rock!
