    My friend bought one of the budget (cash only) $2000 hot tubs with 4 jets months ago and had a great experience so I followed her lead. I called and ordered one in February paying by check in full Feb 26th. They called to delivery on April 10th. I travel extensively for work so my parents who live 2 doors over agreed to accept delivery. When they arrived my father (a retired general contractor and owner of a home improvement store that sold hot tubs) noticed all the electronic were corroded. He called me immediately and told me if it were his he would not accept it in that condition as it was clearly not new. I spoke to the company who agreed to come replace all the electronics the next day. They downplayed it as surface rust stating it had been stored somewhere where it had been in water. Even if it was surface rust - why is a brand-new hot tub stored where it is exposed to that level of water? The next day they replaced everything and filled it up. When I returned from my work trip I found my porch flooded (April 14). I assumed it was perhaps from the heavy rain, so I cleaned up the water and waited until April 15th, the next day, to check it again. April 15th my porch was once again flooded. I tested the water on the ground and the water in the hot tub - both were positive for chlorine. I called and the guy came to check it. He found 2 leaks one from a jet and one severe enough to require a THIRD filter replacement - in a "new unit". I waited 24 hours to fill it at his suggestion so all the PVC could be very very dry. The next day - within 2 hours of the second fill my porch was flooded again. I look and found ANOTHER leak from the THIRD FILTER. In addition to the leaks, perhaps not important to some but worth mentioning, they did lots of scratch damage to my porch vs placing something under the unit to not damage my porch when it was originally installed. (After removal it was obvious how severe the scratches were - MUCH more than the photographs show). At this point I called and asked them to take it back. They fought hard againt that but eventually did agree to remove this unit from my property and refund my money in full. Perhaps most frustrating was how lightly Debra from Spa Manufacturers behaved. She was whimsical on every phone call, refused to take ownership of any of this - telling me I was wrong, it wasn't a lemon, just a little leak, she constantly said stuff like "have an excellent day". It's not an excellent day - I gave you $2k in February and now it's April and you delivered a product that won't work. This unit flooded my porch several times and I had the cost of running the electricity for a week and filling it twice with water and for what? The entire experience was really bad. Once they agreed to take it back I did a little deeper research. It's worth noting Spa Manufacturers offers a 1-year warranty - that is it. I called another local company that sells both hot tubs and pool tables, they offer a reasonably priced extended warranty. Their products are more modern and are a complete shell - offering a 10-year warranty against leakage from the shell itself. Whereas the unit I bought from Spa Manufacturers is a fiberglass shell that is dropped into a plywood and cedar case. It looks pretty but I believe that is less likely to hold up in the Florida elements and certainly did not even make it a week at my house. I ultimately purchased a unit for 5k (vs 2k) from this company. Spa Manufacturers DID refund my money but even that was a fight. I would never do business with them again and I question how they have so many good reviews. I'm sure many others have had good experiences - like my friend - but mine was the opposite of good. I wanted to post this as a buyer beware. Bottom line: 1. Do you homework and 2. You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

    My wife and I have been searching for a well made affordable spa that provides good value and features and we came upon Spa Manufacturers in Clearwater FL. We decided to go with the 650 model which includes a lounger and a few other comfy seats, a 2 speed pump, LED lights, water fall and lots of cup holders. Also, the warranty will compare against any name brand. All of these spas are made on site so the middle man is cut out which translates to a better price for the consumer. We have had ours for a few weeks now and are very happy with our purchase. It's not the fanciest spa but it works well, looks good and is built solid.

    A few months ago my wife and I went to Spa Manufactures and we were not intending to purchase a spa that day, but just went to look. When we arrived we were greeted by Meg and we knew she had a great understanding of hot tubs. In one of your post, someone mentioned there were a lot of cats.....yes there are. After looking at some of the tubs outside, we entered the showroom and meg showed us around. All the tubs were priced so we had a good idea what tubs were in our budget range. Needless to say, we purchased a tub and were well informed it would take 4-6 weeks to deliver, as they are made to order. We picked our date and it arrived on the date described, but the installers were a late getting there. Although the tub arrived later than expected, the installer called me several times keeping me updated on their anticipated arrival time. There were two installers, one was exceptionally nice and the other looked as if he was having a bad day...... Prior to the delivery date, I spent several days watching Youtube videos and searching online for what is a good tub and what parts should be used. Research after a purchase is out of character for me I as usually do weeks of research prior to a purchase. One product that came up in several blogs and videos were to have Balboa products installed as they are the best in the business. Also, many have said the manufactures that foam fill the under area can be problem sum for the owner because as the tub ages and needs maintenance it is time consuming to removed the foam, thus resulting in an expensive repair. I am glad to say, Spa Manufactures did not foam fill the under area, allowing easy access to all the plumbing and motors. Lastly, the tub keeps warm even though we have the heater set to 85. Now, I live in Florida so it's always hot. I'm looking forward to see how well it stays warm in the winter. The only concern I have is no clamps were put on the plumbing, it is strictly held in place with the piping glue. Many of the videos and blogs recommend glue and clamping. Overall I am happy with my tub and Spa Manufactures. I would recommend anyone purchase from them and they are military friendly!

    Bought an American Whirlpool hottub from this company at their Lakeland location two years ago…read more Went with a local company, knowing we would pay more, because support was important to us. They did tell me that they were going to be discontinuing that brand but that they would still provide service. Now the hottub can't get hot (I keep it set at 104 degrees and it is stuck at 99) so I called them to see about getting it serviced. Now they no longer service these hottubs and that I need to call the company to see who can service it. They couldn't/wouldn't help me find someone to service it! Guess now that they have my money, I'm on my own. Would never go back there again. UPDATE: Closest certified American Whirlpool service center wants to charge me $471 for travel expense. I have messaged this company to ask for help since they assured me they would still service the hot tub we bought and I never heard back from them (that was over a week ago. I also called the Brandon location to see if I could get some help and all I got was "I'm sorry!". No offer to help in any way. I hope others will see this before deciding to do business with these people.

Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! I love this family owned business, they care and are meticulous with their work. We interviewed 6 pool installation companies, and the one that heard, listened, and created the most appropriate solution for us was Hollywood Pools and Spas. They built a pool and patio that have met our needs perfectly. We have a new pool within the shell of the old (35x15) pool, deep enough for vertical water aerobics (6'3" instead of 8') and an adequate size to accommodate whatever and whoever!! The Hydrazzo finish is beautifully smooth, and the Shellock pavers promise us many years of worry-free living. They need no sealing and complement the bronzy tones of the back of our house. A major concern for us was storm generated water coming in the back of our house and screened porch (slightly downhill from the pool). 4" drains liberally installed were the perfect solution to sending water to the side yards. We experienced no serious water-related problems from Hurricanes Debby, Helene or Milton. Yes, there were some hiccups, but all concerns were suitably resolved. Thank you Ron, Joe, Jessica, Chad, Tanner and all the related subcontractors. That was the year that was!! One of the most valuable parts of this process is the fact that the "salesman" you speak with initially is involved in the process all the way through to the end.

Sunday afternoon, at least five customers in the store at the time. The owners son, Evan, is always on his phone and refuses to help customers. Today, He sees me walk in with four chlorine containers, makes eye contact with me, completely ignores me and looks back at his phone. I load everything onto the rolling cart myself and go up to the front desk where I'm told by an employee who's leaving and trying to catch the bus that someone else will be up to help me. Great. Evan is still on his phone. Another young man comes up to the register to help me. There's another customer in line behind me. No one is there to help out to the car, yet Evan is still on his phone. After loading the containers into my car myself, I go back in to make sure I get his name so that I can write this review. I tell him what just happened and he denies it and says He didn't make eye contact with me. Keep in mind, he still has not raised his elbows from the counter, and he's still connected to his phone. Talk about customer service!!! Most employees here are helpful and greet you with a smile. Francisco is wonderful. Randall is always there to greet you and do his best to assist. I have back problems and have a hard time lifting these myself, as they are quite heavy. It's really disappointing that the owner of the company has decided to put their son in the store ( Probably to teach him some work experience and the value of earning a dollar) and that his son is driving off customers. He's an entitled, rude kid who couldn't care less and he has no business dealing with regular neighborhood paying customers. Bummer. One bad apple can ruin it for the whole bunch. From now on, I will be driving further to another pool store, in hopes of decent service.
