We shopped around and chose Spa Manufacturers for our Swim Spa. Their longevity in business, wide selection, competetive pricing, quality in facility construction, sales professionalism and above and beyond service sets them apart. The delivery was done by well experienced Enrico and Sergio, on time as promised, who maneuvered between homes to place the tub ever so gently on the pavers/patio. They assisted with set up instructions before moving on. I followed the enclosed booklet and online videos to fill, bleed and start the chemicals. I called and emailed the( Bobby, Karla)and rest of the team many times with questions that were promptly answered. I had one minor lighting issue and Jeff was sent to service the problem. He was a wealth of information and found an additional problem I didn't even know existed. Everything to date is been working great and looking forward to years of workouts and fun use. The spa itself is beautiful and works well. Unfortunately to get it to our home was a nightmare. Part of it was just misfortune the truck carrying our spa broke down (no one's fault) however communication was POOR!! No one told us they would be here we had people take off work, rented a forklift, got a driver for the forklift, placed plywood to protect ground and yet no one came. It took an additional two days to get the swim spa to arrive. When it did it was not covered as it was suppose to be there for it was filled with rain water soaking the boxes inside 2 other spas were on the truck and they were covered. We were told apparently they ran out of the wrap. (Bad excuse) It's finally in place and we love it. After watching the videos it turns out we are supposed to have a cap for the waterfall feature... I can only guess that it broke off due to it not being covered properly during transport to our house. They have yet to contact us back to remedy this issue. It's been annoying and I would not recommend them since they have been so hard to work with from a distance. I would suggest working with local distributors it's not worth the hassle. Update: I did hear back from spa manufacturers and they were able to overnight our last. I did change them from 2 to 3 stars. Spa is still great but the experience of having to get your own forklift and crane was too big of a nightmare. I think having a better communication about that process would really help customers out. read more

Picking your spa and paying for it - easy ...the rest you will struggle with this business ... ) Getting upfront info on delivery (sent specs of house and backyard entry, quickly said OK, needed to rent a crane) The charm you at the store and then send much less knowledgeable staff to install Repairs are done haphazardly with no real respect for your space...trash and debris left inside wooden cabinet, parts replaced still cracked and broke within weeks of repair, hidden costs of repairs. Your service will be done quickly bc...you are a quick paying customer but your dissatisfaction, they don't care. Shop elsewhere for your space, not worth the headaches of this place read more

My friend bought one of the budget (cash only) $2000 hot tubs with 4 jets months ago and had a great experience so I followed her lead. I called and ordered one in February paying by check in full Feb 26th. They called to delivery on April 10th. I travel extensively for work so my parents who live 2 doors over agreed to accept delivery. When they arrived my father (a retired general contractor and owner of a home improvement store that sold hot tubs) noticed all the electronic were corroded. He called me immediately and told me if it were his he would not accept it in that condition as it was clearly not new. I spoke to the company who agreed to come replace all the electronics the next day. They downplayed it as surface rust stating it had been stored somewhere where it had been in water. Even if it was surface rust - why is a brand-new hot tub stored where it is exposed to that level of water? The next day they replaced everything and filled it up. When I returned from my work trip I found my porch flooded (April 14). I assumed it was perhaps from the heavy rain, so I cleaned up the water and waited until April 15th, the next day, to check it again. April 15th my porch was once again flooded. I tested the water on the ground and the water in the hot tub - both were positive for chlorine. I called and the guy came to check it. He found 2 leaks one from a jet and one severe enough to require a THIRD filter replacement - in a "new unit". I waited 24 hours to fill it at his suggestion so all the PVC could be very very dry. The next day - within 2 hours of the second fill my porch was flooded again. I look and found ANOTHER leak from the THIRD FILTER. In addition to the leaks, perhaps not important to some but worth mentioning, they did lots of scratch damage to my porch vs placing something under the unit to not damage my porch when it was originally installed. (After removal it was obvious how severe the scratches were - MUCH more than the photographs show). At this point I called and asked them to take it back. They fought hard againt that but eventually did agree to remove this unit from my property and refund my money in full. Perhaps most frustrating was how lightly Debra from Spa Manufacturers behaved. She was whimsical on every phone call, refused to take ownership of any of this - telling me I was wrong, it wasn't a lemon, just a little leak, she constantly said stuff like "have an excellent day". It's not an excellent day - I gave you $2k in February and now it's April and you delivered a product that won't work. This unit flooded my porch several times and I had the cost of running the electricity for a week and filling it twice with water and for what? The entire experience was really bad. Once they agreed to take it back I did a little deeper research. It's worth noting Spa Manufacturers offers a 1-year warranty - that is it. I called another local company that sells both hot tubs and pool tables, they offer a reasonably priced extended warranty. Their products are more modern and are a complete shell - offering a 10-year warranty against leakage from the shell itself. Whereas the unit I bought from Spa Manufacturers is a fiberglass shell that is dropped into a plywood and cedar case. It looks pretty but I believe that is less likely to hold up in the Florida elements and certainly did not even make it a week at my house. I ultimately purchased a unit for 5k (vs 2k) from this company. Spa Manufacturers DID refund my money but even that was a fight. I would never do business with them again and I question how they have so many good reviews. I'm sure many others have had good experiences - like my friend - but mine was the opposite of good. I wanted to post this as a buyer beware. Bottom line: 1. Do you homework and 2. You ALWAYS get what you pay for. read more

I purchased a 2 person spa and it is nice and we enjoy it almost everyday. The price was very reasonable compared to others in surrounding towns in Florida. The spa heats up quickly and the chemicals are easy to use. I am a senior citizen and it helps with my back and knees. I can adjust the temperature to where it feels comfortable for me. My wife and I have been searching for a well made affordable spa that provides good value and features and we came upon Spa Manufacturers in Clearwater FL. We decided to go with the 650 model which includes a lounger and a few other comfy seats, a 2 speed pump, LED lights, water fall and lots of cup holders. Also, the warranty will compare against any name brand. All of these spas are made on site so the middle man is cut out which translates to a better price for the consumer. I purchased my spa in 2014 and three years later, I had to replace the motor. Several jets, three covers over the years, and the shell itself was cracking. When I called for service last summer, I was told it would be in the new year for service!!!!! After 5-6 years, it became evident, this spa was a money pit. Removal $350.00 from outsource. I then went spa shopping, returned to Spa Manufacturers, and a few others, including web search. DO YOUR OWN homework...and don't depend on what you are told by sales pitch. I was very disappointed with service and the off handed response, maybe because my spa was older. Nonetheless, a ten year shell warranty, is just that. I've owned my swim spa for 6 years now. Always an easy fix if anything comes up with their tech department, Matt is amazing at response time, troubleshooting, courteous, and the value he brings to the company has made me even happier about going with this company vs. the competition. Wear and tare on the unit is tough in FL being outside not under cover but its FL! The only option I wish there was more affordable to choose from and easier to take off would be the cover. 4 parts, not easy for one person. Threw it all away because of wear and tare after 5 years. Updating my review on customer service. They reached out to the repair service I was scheduling and were going to cover it as a courtesy. Unfortunately, I am used to jumping on things due to a very tight schedule between my office/place in S Fl, and my real home where the spa is located so I had already contacted the repairman, he had a window open, and it was fixed the next day before I got home and Zelle'd him payment immediately. So I have received a text and they are sending us the equivalent of payment in chemicals which is fine. Still not happy with it happening, but thankful they are trying to make it up to us instead of "passing the buck". Thank you Debra. Purchased my jacuzzi from Spa Manufacturers several years ago, since then I have had a few minor issues, unrelated to the actual unit, mostly wear and tear. We use o ur home as a rental and it gets quite a bit of use/abuse, Spa Manufacurers has been there for me all along during the fire drills of guests needing it repaired immediately. Since we live in Philadelphia and are not in the area Carla, the Gm and Debra her assistant and scheduler have gone above and beyond to address any issue and have stood behind thier product all the way. The techs are professional and very knowledgeable, big shout out to them, and I would definietly recommend this company when considering a spa of any kind, pricing, professional and service, they have it all. A few months ago my wife and I went to Spa Manufactures and we were not intending to purchase a spa that day, but just went to look. When we arrived we were greeted by Meg and we knew she had a great understanding of hot tubs. In one of your post, someone mentioned there were a lot of cats.....yes there are. After looking at some of the tubs outside, we entered the showroom and meg showed us around. All the tubs were priced so we had a good idea what tubs were in our budget range. Needless to say, we purchased a tub and were well informed it would take 4-6 weeks to deliver, as they are made to order. We picked our date and it arrived on the date described, but the installers were a late getting there. Although the tub arrived later than expected, the installer called me several times keeping me updated on their anticipated arrival time. There were two installers, one was exceptionally nice and the other looked as if he was having a bad day...... Prior to the delivery date, I spent several days watching Youtube videos and searching online for what is a good tub and what parts should be used. Research after a purchase is out of character for me I as usually do weeks of research prior to a purchase. One product that came up in several blogs and videos were to have Balboa products installed as they are the best in the business. Also, many have said the manufactures that foam fill the under area can be problem sum for the owner because as the tub ages and needs maintenance it is time consuming to removed the foam, thus resulting in an expensive repair. I am glad to say, Spa Manufactures did not foam fill the under area, allowing easy access to all the plumbing and motors. Lastly, the tub keeps warm even though we have the heater set to 85. Now, I live in Florida so it's always hot. I'm looking forward to see how well it stays warm in the winter. The only concern I have is no clamps were put on the plumbing, it is strictly held in place with the piping glue. Many of the videos and blogs recommend glue and clamping. Overall I am happy with my tub and Spa Manufactures. I would recommend anyone purchase from them and they are military friendly! read more

Back on July 27th 2021 the tech Kevin from Spa manufacturer replaced my spa motor heater then without asking to cut the fiber optic cable leading to my functioning JCT illuminator box he said would no longer work with new control box. He took the box. I since found out from Matt at the same company the light box could have easily been connected to a on off switch. I call emailed Debre White service manager and Ian Pearce with Spa Manufacturer. Ian said all they had was the Sloan LED lighting system. Debre said she would look into it and finally came back that I had to go on Ebay to find another box as the one Kevin took was gone. On eBay similar boxes sell for 650 plus. This past month the motor they sent me started leaking after less than 4 years. I used another company, and the worker he confirmed the fiber optic lighting box Kevin took only needed another on off switch or possible plugged into heater. I contacted Debra White she wanted 675$ to replace the motor again this time no response regarding the fiber optic lighting box. The new spa company only charged 590.$ plus tax to replace the spa motor. On 8/17/24 I received a call from Carla general manager with Spa manufacturer. She asked what she could do to make things right. She checked with staff and offered a led bulb for the bottom of the tub which would be brighter and a new filter with a frogger spa cleaning kit. I replace the light bulb with the LED bulb, and it is indeed brighter. Better than the plastic colored lense they sent originally. While not the lighting system I had the LED bulb is something. read more

We bought a hot from Spa Manufacturers 18 months ago and have been so happy with our purchase! The entire family loves it especially in the colder months when the pool is too chilly. This is the first time we have owned a hot tub and we have found everyone at Spa Manufacturers to be so patient with all of our questions. They sent someone out to walk us through maintenance so that we were best able to properly care for the unit. We did a good job with the hot tub itself but not so much with the hot tub cover, allowing it to get too moldy. When I called Debra asking for information on how best to clean it she was able to go above and beyond and replace it for free! As it was our mistake, they were certainly under no obligation to do so but we are so grateful they did! Bought a new spa from spa manufacture in may of 2020. Have had to replace heater assembly twice and now its out again. Only a 1 year warranty and it's been 1 year and 1 month. Had to pay $429 for the last heater. Now it's less then 4 years old and its junk. Worst hot tub ever read more

I bought my swim spa from Spa Manufacturers back in 2014. It was shipped from Florida all the way to Alaska. I got a great price and everyone I talked to on the phone was wonderful, to include my salesperson, Wendy. Unfortunately the shipping company decided it needed to go a bit further than Anchorage and sent it to Prudhoe Bay, which resulted in quite a bit of damage. Spa Manufacturers made it right. Since 2015, when my pool was finally installed, anytime I had an issue or a question regarding the spa, the company has always been there to help me. Karla gave me her personal cell long ago and has never let me down when I needed assistance. To make a long story short, had an issue with the heater last night. It was 10:30 pm Florida time but I sent Karla a text even knowing it was probably too late for her to reply. Karla replied to the text early this morning and my husband called her and explained what the situation was. She knew immediately what was wrong and it making it right, as always. I HIGHLY recommend Spa Manufacturers, not only for their great product but also for their awesome customer service. Horrible customer service!!! Went in purchased a spa and told sales person we were dropping the spa into the deck. We were told it would be no problem if you have another person there to help lower ity into the deck. When the spa was delivered one of the delivery men told me he could not help put the spa in because he had a bad back? What are you doing at a job where you have to lift and move 500 lb spas if you have a bad back? The deliveries were obviously sourced out by the spa company so they called their boss. He said he would be there in 10 minutes to help put I the tub. After waiting almost two hours I told them to go home as I had to leave to go to work I called the spa company and was told someone would get back to me the next day. They did not. I called several times with no results, so I hired two movers to drop in the tub in the deck. It took them less than 5 minutes rom start to finish. I called the spa company and without dragging this review out I tried to get the small reimbursement from the movers and got the run around for over two weeks until I just said the heck with it. They never returned my calls and also When I see ithe invoice they never gave me my VETERANS DISCOUNT. I was told they would call me about that also. Its three months.....still waiting!!! Until today I would have given a much higher star rating. We WERE very happy with our hot tub, until it developed problems, but now having just learned that l need a new motor I am VERY disappointed. We bought the hot tub in November 2018 as a replacement for one from a different manufacturer we had had since 2000. That one had a problem with the control panel, and we were afraid that a replacement panel would not be compatible, and of course the motor was 18 years old, (but still going strong)! We bought a new spa (November 2018) and now after only 3 and a half years we need a new motor ! We enjoy our hot tub, but we did not expect to have this expense of a new motor, plus the service charge, after such a short time. Is this normal - or am I just unlucky? read more

I would like to add an update that when Spa Manufacturers became aware of the problems I was having with the wood on my Tiki bar, they were quick to send someone out to repair it. The roof was sanded and re stained and I got a brand new bar counter. They followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy. Thank you guys. read more

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! They had an ad Sunday, Spa's starting at $899 and right below that 50% off spa's. NOPE! They lied! I went there and the sales person said they had 1 and it was a blem, and it was already sold, I did not believe her. I asked about the 50% off and she said she did not have any spa's that were 50% off. She said I can get $100 off of select spa's. The problem is there are no prices on the spa's, you have to ask and I am not sure if the sales people even know. I think they make up a price when you ask them. They gave me a price on one when I got there, then when I asked the price later on for that spa they gave me a different price. If you want to deal with shady practices you will be better off calling them first. read more

Unfortunately, a different employee named Shawn (not sure of spelling) embarrassed and belittled me in front of Tracy, my husband, and 2 other customers for no reason. He yelled at me like I was a child to, "Turn it off!", while I was testing the switch for the waterfall feature on one of the swimspa models we were interested in purchasing. My husband and I absolutely love our hot tub. There are no words to use to express how truly wonderful it is. Ollie was our saleswoman.....she answered every question and also informed us of other things we didn't kno to ask about. The whole crew at Spa Manufacturers are honest, kind,understanding and kno what they are doing. We were told 4 weeks for delivery. Our hot tub was delivered when we were told it would be. The 2 guys that delivered were just as wonderful as everybody else at Spa Manufacturers. They told us how to treat the wood frame. What chemicals to use when and how much. We've told our circle of friends that if they're serious about wanting to get a hot tub to go here. No one here pressures you for a sale. They listen and help figure out exactly what you want. There's a very down to earth feel from these people. They kno some people are in pain and having a hot tub can literally be a saving grace. Yes there are cats everywhere. Don't complain because the cats live there.... YOU don't. Besides you're looking into getting a hot tub.... not a cat... but you can adopt one of you choose too. Started shopping for a swim spa, and Spa Manufacturers' ad offered one for $9995, delivery included, with no hidden costs. Excited, I reached out to get more information, only to be told the $9995 price was for their "basic" model--which includes NO JETS! only the 2 swim current ones in the front. When I asked how much jets would cost, the person I was emailing with told me she wasn't "allowed" to tell me in writing, I would have to call, which seemed really odd and sketchy to me, as every other spa maker I asked for price info from had no problem providing it in writing. Additionally, despite "Free Shipping" being advertised nationwide, apparently "Freight Charges May Apply" for the "basic" model--so much for no hidden costs! When I did at last call after a lengthy email chain trying to get some answers was not productive, I was told it would be over $6000 more to add jets in the two seats of the spa portion...needless to say, I kept looking elsewhere...very, very disappointing to see such deceptive advertising. read more

I went in to by a spa. I went with a 110 volt. The spa had no power coming from the jets. The spa I replaced was a 110volt unit and work fine. I couldn't open the air valve all the way. Spa manufactures came out and put in a 220 motor. The service tech was fairly new inexperienced. He changed out the motor but he didn't change the setting in the service panel. The jets on the spa cant really be adjusted and close by themselfs. I bought a 650 water fall and the lounge area has bad pressure . They've been out 4 times . The service manager Karla said their is nothing more they can do. Very funny a used 500.00 dollar spa worked fine but a 6414.65 dollar spa doesn't give therapeutic relief. I went in looking to spend a certain dollar amount. They told me this one would work. They want to give me one that has a defect in the unit and charge more money. very disappointed in the way its being handled. I should have fixed the 500 dollar spa for 750 dollars. I figured a new one would be better!! boy was i wrong. I had to pay in full 3 months before delivery now i know why. If they do the right thing i will update my review. I should have done my home work. All the sales people care about is selling instead of making sure what you get works. I told them what i needed. My 500 hot point was way better. read more

I've recently read up on the benefits of swimming on general health and how much better it is for your body as opposed to running which can take a toll on your legs if you have some extra weight on you. Well we don't have a very big pool, more or a relax and leisure pool, at least not big enough to be able to do laps. So I looked into buying a swim spa as they're called. You've probably seen one, it's one of those self contained pools that constantly pushed water at you that you swim against. So set on buying a swim spa I did my research and sure enough I found Spa Manufacturers. I really liked how they make everything themselves and in the US! I went over to their showroom and looked at their selection (and trust me it can be a little overwhelming) but we finally narrowed it down and found the perfect swim spa for my budget. They were very friendly and helpful through the process and I have to say I really enjoy my swim spa! I've been working up a sweat every day since and in this summer heat what an enjoyable way to do so. our spa came damaged we believe some of it was due to the transport company, the rest of it is from the manufacturer( the splitting of some wood and such discoloration on some of it), spa company is in the process of having it fixed for us. Well still not fixed, we still cant use our spa as the filter assembly is broke. they delivered another one to us, and also some wood panels. the person that is suppose to put it in can't get to it for a few days I was told today, the fact that the outside wood was damaged and the filter being broke, and water leaks I feel like I got a used spa. will never buy from them again and we should be compensated for our time of not being able to use the spa and having such a defective spa delivered to us! here we are over 2 weeks later shame on you saying you are such a great company! read more
