I have a hole in the ground for over 2 months with nothing else done. Owner has my money and will not return calls. Buyer beware !!

I would like to make people aware of Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa…read more A couple months ago I used their monthly service to start routine cleaning of my pool. I was told Thursdays of every week they would come out and brush, vacuum, skim the surface, and add chemicals as needed. They would clean the filter monthly as well for $150 a month. I was delighted as we had just gotten our pool resurfaced and both my husband and I work full time jobs. It was like the 3rd week of my first month and I was home Thursday installing new furniture on my back patio. I spent almost the entire day out there. And no one showed up. I had a party that weekend that SURPRISE I needed our pool for. I called the store and was told the tech Jacob was running behind and would be out on Friday. I was very understanding that things can come up and a tech could be behind and asked if their policy stated that they should inform their paying customers when a technician misses an appointment. They reassured me that they will talk to Jacob and make sure it doesn't happen again. The next month I realized that the second week of the month (Thursday is my service day) and Sunday the pool was turning green. I called the store Monday and was told Jacob hadn't been out there for a week and a half. And that he couldn't access my house because the street was "backed up" (not sure of a time that Spring Lake Rd has traffic but ok) again no communication- no follow up- and never came back out. I asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to Brian. Who gave me his personal number and said he would come out that week and get my pool back blue. I told him I wanted pictures sent every week before and after my service and a description of what the chemical readings and a pic of my pool from Jacob every week. He assured me they would be out there every day this week to make up for the times Jacob wasn't able to be there. Brian showed up and sent me pictures they showed up twice that week. Fast forward to last week- Jacob marked he had showed up. And even with 2 cars parked in the driveway he lied and never came as my husband and I were home and were diligent to look out for him. I canceled my services this past weekend. My pool is green and I've hired a new contractor to do the work. I was never offered a refund or an apology for not being able to stick to their policy and their end of the bargain. Beware of using them for pool cleaning services. Make sure you have a camera installed to check that the pool is actuallly getting cleaned. Since my pool was resurfaced I now have stains from the pool not being properly maintained in the curing stage.
