    I hired Carpet One Ocala to install a luxury vinyl plank floor. Within six months the floor failed…read more The manufacturer sent an inspector, who concluded the issue was due to installation. Despite that finding, Carpet One was able to get the manufacturer to cover a replacement. Unfortunately, the second installation also failed within months, and again the inspectors--both the manufacturer's and the independent inspector I paid for--found the same thing: no expansion gaps and installation not consistent with manufacturer guidelines. Every inspector who came out told us the same two causes: (1) improper subfloor preparation and (2) improper installation. None of the inspectors found problems with our maintenance. The only note was the use of rolling chairs. Carpet One later claimed they had instructed us to use chair mats, but we have an email from them stating that with the correct caster wheels (which we bought and installed), chair mats were not required. When the second floor started failing, the owner told us that "installers always get blamed," even though every written report we have--multiple inspectors, including one we hired ourselves--states that expansion gaps were not installed per Karndean's specifications. One inspector even told us he contacted Karndean directly, and they confirmed that our cleaning and maintenance methods would not cause the type of damage occurring. At this point, calls have gone unanswered, we have not been provided the installation insurance information we requested, and we were essentially told to sue if we wanted the issue resolved. The cost of litigation would rival the cost of the floor, so it's simply not practical. What disappoints me most is that the "Carpet One Love Your Floor Guarantee" was not honored in our case, despite multiple independent findings showing installation errors. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

    I bought a split king with adjustable base. It was not comfortable at all. I called to return it…read morewith their 100 day trial. They sent me 3 inch toppers for free instead. It helped a little bit. I tried to do the return again and that's when I found out that they only take the mattress back. I was stuck with the adjustable frame. By the way, the frame is the expensive part of my first deal. So I kept it for a year and a half or so and decided to upgrade the mattress to the Limited Edition flex top. That ended up being more of a mistake than the first bed. What a piece of junk it is. It does not fit the base correctly and overhangs on the sides. Notice on their picture how it does not overhang the sides? And the flex top separates and leaves a big space to under the bed. I tried to get them to fix the problem, but they want to charge me to come look at it. What kind of warranty is that? My $10,000 expensive mistake.

Around June 1st I received an email stating they were having supply chain issues and couldn't deliver my bed until July 23rd. While not super happy, I still wanted the smart bed, so I sucked it up with my old bed for another 6 and 1/2 weeks. Beginning about July first, I began to receive emails and texts as reminders for my delivery, with instructions to prepare for my delivery. Hooray! I followed all of the instructions, including REMOVING MY OLD BED, to get ready for my new, smart, luxurious, wonderful bed. My delivery window was 8:30-11:30am. On July 23rd, my ONLY day off, I waited patiently, forgoing my grocery shopping and other chores, I was SURE they'd show up and I could get my things done after the bed was delivered. NOPE. At 2:30pm I began calling Customer Service. Where was my bed? On a truck, they said. Where is the driver? Let us try to contact the driver, they said. No luck! The driver was not available. I told them this was my only day off, I had waited over 90 days for my bed, I had removed my old bed, and I really needed that bed! And I had plans for the afternoon! They could not guarantee anything because they couldn't reach the driver. I said, well, what if we rescheduled? They said well we can see what's available if you cancel this delivery. Ok, let's do that! Next available delivery is August 1st. NO! I can't wait that long! Well, my delivery for today was already canceled (this is the SAME PHONE CONVERSATION). Can't you un-cancel it, I asked? It hasn't even been 5 minutes! NOPE. Too late, too bad, I LOSE. Next available delivery date is August 1. I told them I was out of town that day, ANY OTHER DAY would be perfect, just NOT August first. Well, we'll go ahead and put down the first while we try to see if we can get a different day for you, they said. We'll call you back, they said. Guess who didn't call me back? SLEEP NUMBER. I waited 3 days, and called them back. Now I have to explain all of this to a new person. Which I do. They said, unfortunately, there is no available delivery date before August 1 and the next delivery date is August 18th. WHAT? I have to wait over 120 days for my bed, PAY INTEREST ON MY BED, and now I HAVE NO BED? I'm absolutely dumb for getting rid of my old bed before the new one showed up. True. But I'm even DUMBER if I don't cancel this order. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from SLEEP NUMBER. Worst. Customer. Service. EVER.
