I think this is one of best decaf Americanos in Tucson. I got there one minute after they closed and they opened up to serve me. The woman was very nice and the decor was very cool with nice looking tshirts on display and vintage bicycles on the wall. I should have gone back the next day. I was on vacation and wanted to try another coffee shops. They have very good decaf espresso and the barista obviously knew what she was doing. read more

Another good find in Tuscan! Tasty espresso and macchiatos. The inside of this place is so cute with a ton of plants and old school bikes. It's a really hip spot and we dig it. read more

BEST COFFEE IN TUCSON. hands down. the lattes are precisely how they should be made. not too sweet not too hot. foam's just right. the espresso tonic is delicious and unique. the BAKED GOODS??? i could rave for days. some of the best scones and pastries i've ever had. truly a mastermind behind the everything bagel turnover. the vibes are always excellent and the staff is genuinely the best around. the whole vibe is so approachable too! not intimidating or snobby, which can sometimes happen with truly phenomenal coffee. shoutout to the barista who remembers my order :,) you make my day. Great coffee, ambience and service. Nice hangout spot as well. Lived their vegan treats and pastries. Highly recommend

Very good coffee and a cool vibe. They had a mole latte which I had to try-- It was smooth and had the perfect balance of chocolate and spice. Only wish they had more pastry/food options :) read more

REALLY enjoyed this place. It is totally off the normal path. Delish capps and super friendly place. Would hit this place up again next time we were in town. read more

My favorite coffee shop out of all the coffee shops I've ever been to. Best tasting espresso/highest quality coffee. Very knowledgeable staff and they know what they're talking about when it comes to coffee. Highly recommend to all the coffee aficionados out there. Presta was one of our favorite cafes while living in Tucson. We moved away about 5 years ago but came back to Tucson just this past week to visit and Presta is still amazing! Their coffee (I love their cold brew in particular) has such an incredible flavor. I made sure to buy a bag of beans from them to stow away in my suitcase. The staff is still just as friendly and passionate about their craft. Go check out Presta! You won't regret it! read more

We had a great experience here. The barista, Jess, recommended her preferred espresso, made our drinks promptly, and threw in some fabulous customer service and great breakfast recs when she found out we were just passing through town. Thanks for making our visit both delicious and so much fun! read more

Presta Coffee Roasters - Roastery and counter - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Dude! I love this place to hang out and drink coffee. Nicole, Ethan, and Meredith are the best. The coffee is amazing. All kinds of single origin coffees available and the espresso blend makes for an awesome latte. Ask for an iced basic (vanilla latte), its phenomenal, I have at least 4 a day. The milk is organic! Also, their decaf is incredible, for when you don't need that extra kick. Order the Peachy Boi while it lasts! Best non-coffee drink in America, and it'll keep you cool in the hot Tucson summer. Pastries from Prep and Pastry are bomb and delicious. They also serve the best cereal. Cool vibe, awesome baristas, delicious coffee. Presta. read more

FYI: closed entirely Mondays! A little hard to find, but worth making the u-turn for. This is a very small coffee house/roaster that is kinda tucked in between some other modern commercial buildings. The easiest thing to aim for is the bright yellow metal fence (it's behind that). Entrance/parking is to the side and there's an iron walkway leading to the glass front door (neither are visible from the street really, due to the metal fence). You are immediately greeted by the fresh aroma of roastING coffee. The inside can accommodate maybe 6-8 people seated and another half-dozen standing... yes, small... and their hours (for a coffee house) are odd (8am - 2pm daily) but this is first/foremost a roasting establishment. My first question to the cashier was what whole bean, first-crack roasts they have. The barrista immediately - and confidently said - "ALL of our coffees are only roasted to the first crack." Before I could say anything, she began to speak my thoughts: "we don't ever dark roast because that extra burning ruins the coffee bean's flavor." Halleluja! Trivia: did you know that in most of the rest of the world, first-crack IS the norm (only in America is almost ALL coffee dark roasted past the second crack, creating that aweful burnt-caramel flavor that ends up masking everything unique). Bad Starbucks. Anyway, I needed to refill my decaf stash, so I got a pound of their swiss-water processed (this is THE only way to do it) Central American decaf and made a small french press pot at home that same night... outstanding. This is just as good as the first-crack Brazilian whole bean that I regularly get from Cross Roads Coffee... incredibly flavorful, low-acid, nutty, etc. I am really pleasantly amazed at (and grateful for) how many custom coffee roasters exist in Tucson. Amen! read more

I was watching a Portlandia marathon last night and it made me nostalgic for the absurdly hipster cafes of my LA past. My husband googled "hipster café Tucson" and this popped up, so we decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. From the bicycles on the wall to the Eames molded plastic chairs, this place really captured that Portlandia fever dream vibe I was going for. The mugs were the perfect shade of yellow, and the vintage record player may or may not have been decorative. The barista was sporting a haircut that made me ask myself "Is that a mullet, and if so, why do I dig it?" My oat milk based chai latte and my husband's lavender and honey oat milk cappuccino were delicious afterthoughts to the real reason we were there - the aesthetic. Five stars. read more

I was so excited to go this location when I first tried it at the Mercado San Agustin, but it was pretty disappointing. The atmosphere was not inviting, staff was kinda rude, and I ordered one coffee and the two people who came in after me had their coffee and pastries before I did. If you do decide to try Presta, I would recommend going to the Mercado San Augstin.. honestly worth the drive depending on where you are and the experience! read more

Cool little hipster coffee shop. First visit we had Matcha latte and house cold brew. Chocolate croissant to die for 2nd visit; barista told us they've never had matcha...even though we had it there the first time- and cold brew was out? Overall, cool place - awkward for large groups bc limited seating. Check it out read more

Think of Presta as a prohibition-style coffee roaster. There is no sign indicating where it should be. It's hidden within a mid-century modern architectural firm, whose design prowess spills into the shop. Inside, you'll find polished concrete, reclaimed wood, desert flora, and antique road bikes. There's some really interesting seating on the patio, too. They serve a fantastic espresso at a fair price ($2-$6 depending on size). We took a bag of beans home. I'm drinking a cup as I write this review... it's inspiring! read more

Call me a hipster, but I loved Presta. I found Presta on Why I Love Where I Live (Instagram). They are minimalist, with a huge coffee bar and 3-4 bean choices. I was able to smell the coffee before selecting one for a drip coffee. I loved watching the people come in, many of whom were locals and regulars. I eavesdropped on their conversations of travel(!). This is small, but I absolutely loved the ceramic mugs they served their coffee in! Presta would be my regular coffee spot too if I lived in Tucson. read more

This is the best roaster in Tucson, period. I always buy beans from here and the consistency/quality is amazing. The staff is always there to give a great recommendation, and they seem to always have an interesting new roast for me to try. If you get there early enough, there's some great pastries to eat, otherwise you'll have to settle for an amazing coffee beverage. read more

Great coffeehouse. Lots of seating in a cool hipster/ industrial decor. They took time to educate me about the coffee and the various options. Helped me try something new (cortada with oat milk) and it was really good. Not crowded like some places closer to campus. Good wifi is a plus. read more

Presta Coffee Roasters - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I was in Tucson on business today - had a long enough break to look for coffee between meetings - called my favorite Barista in Scottsdale and asked him where my fave roaster was in Tucson. He gave me the address and, happily, it was close enough we could check it out. Tip - look for the sign by the street - the building doesn't say Presta. Went it - very cool, modern layout. As I walked up to the bar, I saw what I was looking for - I'm in love with the Ethiopian beans they've been doing lately - the jar was right in front of a V60 rig, so I ordered a V60 pourover with Ethiopian beans. My buddy ordered an espresso. Had a nice chat with Jackie, the barista while she was making the drinks. Next guy who came in ordered Ethiopian in a V60 - told him, "Good choice!" While we were enjoying our coffee, we got to talking to Curtis (the owner). Had a nice discussion about coffee roasting, running a coffee business, etc. Offered to haul the next order of beans up to Phoenix for my favorite local place, Kream Coffee (gotta make sure they've got plenty of my favorite coffee beans to brew). If you're in Tucson, check out Presta!!! read more

I felt that the latte I got was good. It didnt standout to me like a $6 drink though. I felt the vibe was too smug for me. I recently moved to Tucson looking for local shops to support. Im not sure if I'll come back to the N location anytime soon. The day before I had a latte from Tumerico and it was amazing. I felt like that latte set the standard as far as overall taste and volume for a 6$ latte. Found this place while the wife and I went to an appointment near 1st Ave and decided to grab a cup of coffee. There was one young lady working which made it a bit of a wait to get my latte. I thought the latte was smooth, which I added a bit if sugar. Wife had the chai and pesto croissant. She enjoyed both. I went here with my friend and love the space. There isn't obvious signage outside the building. I like the architecture because it's modern and industrial. The seating inside is conducive to hanging out or studying. The smell of coffee is really aromatic. Ironically, I'm not a coffee drinker. My friend gives their coffee 5 stars for smoothness and flavor. I give 5 stars to everything but the coffee (because I didn't try it). read more

Both were so freaking delicious I didn't want either to end. Highly recommend checking this place out ! read more

Rarely do I have the luxury of lingering in a coffee shop, it's grab and go on a daily at a grotesquely overrated chain. What a refreshing experience! Spent a morning lounging in Presta's open and inviting space. As a former road bike enthusiast the bikes on the wall and canvas painting triggered nostalgic feelings of rides along coastal California roads. Ok, now for the coffee review...I had the Cheerio iced coffee special, can't remember exactly what was in it but it was exquisite! I mindfully sipped to fully enjoy the whole experience. Wish I was a local, would def make Presta my go to coffee shop! read more

My previous review stands and please read it. I am in the process of revising my ratings so that a 5 Star rating is reserved for those places that pay attention to all the details and hit their mark on almost all of them. I love the attention to detail that Presta pays to the coffee making process. But even they will admit this location, which just started up as a cafe in May, is a work in progress. They have coffee here, but that's about it. So look towards the future for this location (and some of the plans I've heard sound pretty cool), but for now it is a 4 Star experience. read more

Hidden gem. Signage could be better! This is a shop serving and selling very high quality locally roasted coffee served here in an almost hidden industrial looking building. Espresso is a blend while other brews are single varietals. Has a European feel to it, with free WiFi and clean, open interior with funky air plants, vintage bikes and coffee drinks, some with homemade strips, served in nice ceramic. Baristas are always friendly, skilled and informative. I like that they support other local businesses, but wish they had alternative milks and I miss the 5 points baked goods (cartel studs just doesn't even cut it!). However, the lavender honey cappuccino topped with bee pollen (wish it was local, though!) was genius made heaven in a cup! read more

Best coffee I've found in Tucson so far! Craft coffee fans need to stop in to any of their locations

The coffee here is the best in Tucson. And presta is probably the best toaster in all of Arizona. I would give their coffee a 4. It's constantly improving but I think it still has a little ways to go to reach the top roasters in the the country like Heart in Portland or Sweet Bloom in Denver, etc. But where the detraction comes from is in attitude of some of the baristas. The owner is great, as well as some of their baristas, but they also have a couple baristas who both know very little about specialty coffee and at the same time are both arrogant and unfriendly. This detracts from the overall quality of Presta. read more

Very tasty coffee--this location also has a 'lil more space to work/hang out at. (The Mercado location is great, but during the weekend can get super packed.) The store that introduced me to third-wave coffee. I love everything about Presta Coffee Roasters, from their fruit-forward palette to the great people behind the bar. On one of my first visits I met Curtis and learnt the story of Presta before I set up shop with a cup of directly-sourced Panama. My favorite thing about this store is the stories behind the beans; on almost every new bean I can talk to Jacque or Tracy and learn something about the origin. Exceptional employees keep me coming back for more conversation about the intricacies of the trade and the complexity of each individual roast. Cold brew: 5/5 -clean and smooth -good flavor profiles Pour-over: 5/5 -have never received a poorly extracted beverage here Espresso: 5/5 -signature blend is consistent and tasty -single-origin adds a bit of spice to life Service: 5/5 -awesome people -make sure to order a cappuccino if Liam is on shift, he makes a mean swan Environment: 4/5 -aesthetic and inviting -not a lot of seating options Cleanliness: 5/5 -it is very important to me that a store be well-kept read more

Golly I LOVE their coffee. I didn't drink coffee until I had kids 7 years ago and my taste for good coffee has developed over the years. I have had coffee at pretty much all the coffee shops in the Tucson area with Presta being one the very top of my list for its flavor and quality. My beverage of choice is a latte and the milk they use and frothing of the milk is perfect every time. Plus the staff is friendly and it is a nice environment for sitting and enjoying your drink or getting some work done. There are times I wish they had a few more delicious pastries as they have very few each day, but they seem to be focused on their goal of roasting and serving great coffee and not getting caught up in other products which I understand. If you want EXCELLENT coffee come here. read more
