I've gone to multiple locations of pressed in NYC and California as I'm a VIP so I get 6 drinks for $25. Out of all the juices I've had so far my favorite is Greens 2 and Roots 3. I had a great offer as a VIP so an extra star for recognizing your VIPs. I've been to this location twice, the first time was fine but today I encountered a person who seemed to hate her life. I requested to try a sample of one of their new drinks and it made me feel like requesting a sample wasn't allowed but she did it begrudgingly. The worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I stopped by at around 11:30 am on Sunday, February 26, to get vitality shots for the upcoming week where I met the rudest employee working the front counter. Didn't get her name but she was a young woman of either African American or Latinx descent. After noting that I will not be giving her a tip due to her horrible customer service she then remarked that "she does not need a tip" and also remarked that "I seemed miserable" as I was exiting the store. I have been going to Pressed for years now. I have been to this specific location THREE TIMES in the past 3 months and literally every time I go in the employees act like I've ruined their day. It's gotten to the point that my roommates and I will joke about going there to feel badly ourselves. There's never any music & the employees act like you're a bother and inconvenience. I highly recommend enrolling in their VIP program because you get points every time you buy something and you can redeem them for free juice, wellness shots, soft-serves, etc. The juice isn't organic but it's non-GMO, which is still good if you ask me because it's like seasonal produce you'd find at the grocery store. The juice will last a few weeks, generally at least a week or more depending on how close you buy it to its bottled date. Stopped by Pressed Juicery with my sister to try the freeze because we got lured in by all the pictures outside. The freeze is said to be a healthier alternative to soft serves and frozen yogurts. They even have a list on the wall comparing all the ingredients from Pressed Juicery to other products. It's great to know that Pressed Juicery mainly uses fruits and vegetables. It's vegan, gluten free and dairy free as well. We got the green/matcha freeze which is a blend of greens with dates and coconut. We also added a blueberry topping (they were pretty generous with the amount of blueberries!) The texture is a little grainy and also don't expect it to be super sweet. Before we left we also ordered a coffee to go, which we were not impressed with. I think it was just prepared with the vanilla coffee they have. Lesson learned, should probably stay away from anything that's not juice related. 4 stars for the freeze we tried and also great customer service while we were there. If you are looking for healthy, all natural, non-dairy, with some Whole30 approved items, then Pressed Juicery is the place for you! Finding almond milk without added sugar or chemicals is really hard at the store, and not every juice/smoothie store does it well (I have been on the hunt, and didn't think the search would be that difficult). But the almond milk here is sooo good. I buy two bottles every time: one to leave at work and another to leave at home so that I can add it to my decaf coffees. If you are giving up sugar, please try. And if I am mistaken, PLEASE let me know! hahaha its almost too good to be true! The freezes are EXTREMELY good for all natural ingredients and no added sugar, in some instances. The first time I tried them, I was not really impressed. But after starting Whole30, I think they are a good substitute for ice cream and I can appreciate them for their wholesome goodness. Really, try it out!
