If you're looking for expensive High end dining with very good service, this is the place. We tried the 4 course prix fixe menu which was enough food for us. The place got pretty crowded as the evening wore on. Most of the dishes we had were very good. I wasn't thrilled with my fish. It had a fishy odor and was a tad salty. They have a new bakery that opened on the other side of the building. We will have to return one day to try it.

Loved Press. Exquisite service, warm but high-end dining room, and impeccable food. The precision of each dish was spectacular. Fantastic wine list. We had so much fun. Butternut squash soup with cardamom - Palate cleanser. Lovely start. Turnips with poached apple, garden sorrel, turnip veloute - Never had turnips this was way, inspired! Scallop Crudo - Delicate and balanced. Ricotta Gnudi with Meyer lemon, spring herb broth - I was so sad when I finished this, bring me at least 3 more. Wagyu tartare with sunchoke chili crisp, farm lettuces - Loved the bitterness of the lettuces with the tartare. Eye of ribeye, morel mushrooms, charred sugar snap peas - Just amazing. Monkfish, daikon, fennel - I was surprised at the selection of monkfish which can very challenging to cook. But they did it, and it was great. Milk chocolate mousse with peanut ice cream, caramel banana jam - Combination was to die for. Vanilla & Champagne parfait, pear compote, candied winter citrus - Nothing was out of place, delicious. Petit fours and coffee - Usually an afterthought but here they do not cut corners. Coffee was done right as well.

Had a magical time celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and baby moon at PRESS! They greeted us with a card signed by all staff, which was a sweet surprise. I was also really surprised by their playlist selection, and thought it gave a good vibe to the restaurant. Our server was a very kind gentleman (I wish I remembered his name!) who made the experience very comfortable for us. This is the best pre fixe menu we've had, and we value our culinary experiences. It was also so special that they brought out a few extra desserts for us to really celebrate our anniversary. We will be back!!!

It started out as a phenomenal food and wine pairing heavenly experience. I was told that the course after the main course had no wine pairing. But, they saw my reaction and presented a wine that paired nicely. I ordered the Chef's Menu with wine pairing, so I expected every course to have a glass of wine paired with it.

A bit belated post. We went for Christmas. Sometimes it is good to write a review a few months later. Because if there is any dish that I still remember after such a long time, it means it is truly outstanding (or terrible)! The only dish I remembered is the desert (red rock cheddar with persimmon and steam pudding cake). The combination was amazing. The cheddar is definitely memorable with blue cheese (?) imbedded in the cheddar to create a marble like look and a contrast of taste. It goes really well with persimmon. Pair made in heaven!

Our group had a lovely experience at PRESS (- 4.5-star experience). The restaurant feels modern and welcoming without being overly formal. The kitchen was spotless and well-organized, and the ambience was relaxed and comfortable, with R&B and '90s music setting a chill mood. Because we were a group of eight, we booked a private room and selected the menu in advance. I truly enjoyed most of the dishes, especially the squash and halibut dishes - flavorful yet light and elegant. PRESS really elevates its food through intentional ingredients and a thoughtful balance of flavors. The service was professional and attentive. One small detail really stood out: my husband cuts with his left hand, and a staff member noticed and adjusted the placement of his utensils without being asked. We were genuinely impressed. Portions were very reasonable - we left satisfied but not overly full. I'd happily bring my family back to.

There is so much to like about Press ... really nice space, mostly great service, but the wine program leaves a lot to be desired. We got there about 10 minutes early and told by hostess the bar was open... however bartender made it clear they weren't ready which came across rude. Fortunately Bridgette, our server, and Victor part of wait staff made the experience much more enjoyable. The four course meal was universally great... pretzel with caviar, gnudi, monkfish, etc. Unfortunately the lauded wine program left a lot to be desired... Somm wasn't very knowledgeable amd wine list was very out of date. Wine list missing items they have but even worse showing things they didn't have. Two bottles in a row that they didn't have. First bottle we got was clearly oxidized but Somm argued with us and didn't want to get beverage director. Fortunately our fourth choice turned out to be a great wine. Bottom line.. go for the food not the wine. Avoid the bar but ask for Bridgette and Victor.

Press is one of those rare places where you realize you're not just eating dinner, you're experiencing someone's life work on a plate. Every course felt intentional. Precise. Quietly confident. The lobster was delicate and clean, sitting in that perfect balance where nothing tries too hard, yet everything speaks. The duck was easily one of the most memorable bites I've had. Deep, rich, and comforting without being heavy. Even the cheese course felt like its own story, layered with texture and temperature that kept evolving. What stood out most was the restraint. Nothing was excessive. No unnecessary theatrics. Just exceptional ingredients treated with respect. And their cocktails deserve real credit too. Thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully composed. Not just something to drink while you wait, but something that belonged in the experience alongside the food. The space itself feels warm and grounded. Elegant without being intimidating. The kind of place where conversations slow down and you actually stay present. This is not a casual dinner spot. This is where you go when the moment matters. Press doesn't try to impress you. It simply does.

We came here for my husbands birthday while in the area and had a lovely meal. They were able to make the meal gf for him without any issues. The pretzel and caviar (not gf) was delicious as were many of the other dishes but that one stood out to me as being unique. The space has an open feel to it with high ceilings.

Roasted Cauliflower Mushroom

While wait staff was clearly Michelin level, but 2 of the 5 wines served with the 5 course reserve pairing were imo def past prime, another two were not top 25% of Napa and Champagne to start was good but not great. 65. I will also mention the wrong wine was served to one in the party that clearly didn't pair. Turnip Barigoule was fantastic, but i have never in my life had a fattier cut of pork than the dry aged kurobuta pork. Maybe thats what is supposed to be like? Ambiance was great. Dessert gummies horrible. Red Rock Cheddar also very good.

$26 ridiculous expensive

Good service and atmosphere. Cocktails are yum but ridiculously expensive. Small portion too. Espresso martini in tiny glass for $26. Pig ears was amazing. Wagyu was yum, small pieces for $75. Worth trying it for once.

We had dinner reservations at 6:30pm and when we arrived, the restaurant didn't seem very full, which was a bit unexpected. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and definitely gives off a Napa vibe. The space feels upscale, warm, and thoughtfully designed. Came with a group of four and we all opted for the four-course prix fixe. Each of us choose different options. First course: - Duck confit terrine was good. - Gold ball turnips was just okay. Second course: - Matsutake mushrooms was good. - American wagyu steak tartare was okay, nothing memorable. - The ricotta gnudi was way too salty and we sent it back. They came back with another pasta dish which was a lot better Third course: - Dungeness crab boudin was also very salty. We didn't send it back, but no one finished it. - Black truffle-glazed chicken was good. - There was also a pork chop option that was good. Fourth course: - Red Rock cheddar was good. - Meyer lemon was good. - Milk chocolate mousse was good. Service was inconsistent. At times, it felt like our server wasn't very engaged, which stood out given the price point. Toward the end of the meal, though, he overheard part of our conversation and shared a great story about the wine we were drinking, which we appreciated and ended the night on a better note. Overall, the ambiance was the highlight of the evening, but the food and service didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the reviews or the price. It wasn't a bad experience, just uneven and a bit underwhelming. Solid 3 stars. Probably wouldn't come back.

Came here on a Thursday night and was able to bump our reservation 30 min earlier bc our schedule had changed. We opted for the five course menu and added the caviar + pretzel supplement. One was enough betwen the two of us and the cultured butter rly reminded me of labneh. My fav courses were the starter soup and halibut. The meat course of wagyu and shortrib was disappointing, the wagyu was tooooo chewy and not rly decadent, the faux hot dog garnish also freaked me out. The mushroom gnocchi was a little too earthy/concentrated for me. Service was great but the host spoke wayyyy too fast when he sat us, unsure if he was nervous or just new. Gorgeous interior and extensive wine list. Looking forward to coming back.

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

You are enmeshed in a peaceful sanctuary, enveloped by the lush greenery outside. Soft, tasteful music accompanies. The food is very good, at times superb, with attractive, precise platings. Appetizers and shareables shine. Free Bread Course (5/5) - outrageously tasty. Some of the best focaccia I've had, with their absurdly good estate olive oil to dip in. Difficult to not eat too much of this. Meadowood Farms Spring Green Salad (5/5) - $22 - Ridiculously fresh vegetables picked from Meadowood's own garden. The top-level freshness reminded me of vegetables at Single Thread. Globe Artichoke Confit (5/5) - $26 - Perhaps my favorite dish of the evening, oozing umami flavor, with crispy trumpet mushrooms and artichoke hearts swimming in a bed of delectable tomato concasse. The accompanying estate olive oil is some of the best I've had. Liberty Farms Duck Leg Confit (4.5/5) - $42 - Tough for me to ever pass up duck confit, and this version did not disappoint. The accompanying blackberry beet reduction was perfect. Arroz Caldo (3.5/5) - $19 - The only slight disappointment of the night. We had reservations for 11AM, by the time it was 11:30AM, about 85% of the restaurant was filled. By noon? All the tables were taken! Come early, get seated, relax. Service: We had the privilege of having Dwight be our server this afternoon. He was an absolute gem who loves his job, and loves what he does. He explained to us the specials, and some of the dishes he liked; he was a big help! We settled on a few things: the chicken wings (a MUST-HAVE; they are smoked first --- then fried; then tossed in a bit of a sweet seasoning --- it hits all the taste buds!). We also got the sweet potatoes --- good, nothing to write mom about. In addition, I had to get the famous Mongolian Porkchops. Dwight suggested to get it medium (I was a bit apprehensive --- it is pork), but always "trust the chef". So I did. My meal was EXCELLENT. The porkchop was perfectly grilled with some charred bits, and the meat was tender and juicy. Thank you Dwight for your suggestion! All-in-all, Mustards Grill is a MUST if you're ever staying in the Napa Valley. They received a Michelin Star in 2025, and if you try their food, you can clearly see why. After your finished with your meal, step outside and make a right --- and take some photos next to the vineyard. You are in Napa after all!

We were able to book on OpenTable just a few days before, which made making the reservation easy. Upon entering, the restaurant was full and had a classic bistro vibe. Everyone was dressed nicely but not too fancy. You definitely want to wear a nice shirt and dress up a bit if you are coming here for dinner. We were seated at a round table, which provided plenty of space to talk and enjoy our meal. As a starter, we ordered the onion rings. They were fantastic! Perfectly seasoned, and the homemade ketchup was delightful. The portion was large, but we had no problem finishing them because they were excellent. I had the veggie tostada. It had a good spicy kick that I really enjoyed. I am not sure if it was the salsa or the California chilies (red jalapeños) that gave it that heat. My sister had the famous pork chop and said it was the best she had ever had. My mom had the lamb, and she said it was divine. She also got some mashed potatoes to share, and the garlic flavor and texture were both delicious. We ordered two desserts and coffee to finish the meal. The lemon tart was fantastic! I have not had meringue this good since I was in French culinary school. I would come here for this tart alone. The coffee was a delicious close to the meal along with the dessert. We will most definitely be back to bring my husband and enjoy more family meals together. Thank you to our server and the hostess for being so accommodating and for providing us with excellent service.
