We've used them for three years, as our neighbor used and recommended them when we moved here. Sure, they are reliable, they take care of the lawn great. The problem is, they also mow down anything in their path, including: last year, they mowed over a newly planted apple tree which was encircled quite clearly with mulch and hard to miss. Yes they deducted the price of this tree from their bill and were nice about it. Accidents happen, sure, to those not paying attention I suppose (the tree and huge mulch circle were very visible...). But today the weed wacker guy ventured more than 6 feet into my front GARDEN, which in one area was in real need of weeding (grass had shot up in this one area I didn't get to yet, I've been quite ill). In weed wacking within my garden, he just "missed" the fact that 5 butterfly bushes that I'd planted and MARKED EACH with a white plastic knife were sticking up right behind each... and this weed wacker guy just plowed down everything in his path around the grass he was determined to get (even though that grass was not in "MY LAWN" it was in "MY GARDEN"!) I'm sure he meant to be helpful but OMG dude you're not a gardener if you couldn't differentiate butterfly bushes amidst tall thin GRASS?!? No business in my garden, buddy. I'm giong to urge my husband to switch landscaping companies, I"ve pretty much reached the end of my rope. read more
