By far the worst experience I've had with a contractor. They left my house looking like a war zone…read more No concern for my property and didn't even finish their job. Just cut trees and either pushed them into a space or left them where they fell. All while not even caring about the environment around them. They even dropped trees/branches on my cable and telephone line (Thank God I don't use them) and then just left the wires laying on my yard and left for good. 1 star for actually cutting some trees down, but it's hard to give any type of positivity to this review with what I have to deal with now.

I recently needed to remove a very large maple tree that had suffered some damage during a storm…read more It was a concern to us that future storms could cause further damage to both the tree and surrounding property. Paulo's came to determine the status of the tree and what options were available. We agreed that the risk of further damage was great and that its falling down was inevitable. I was given a very reasonable quote for the tree removal and was able to schedule the work within a few weeks. Paulo's crew arrived as scheduled with up to date equipment and protective coverings for the lawn. The work was done skillfully and with great attention to avoiding any damage to landscaping and property. They worked continuously and cleaned up without virtually any debris or sawdust. The entire crew were extremely professional and polite. It was an entirely satisfying experience.

As we haven't moved yet, the lawn and natural vegetation is taking over. I called multiple companies to handle, as my husband is currently inundated. Steven was the most responsive and professional of those I reached out to. He was communicative with scheduling, prompt, decently priced and accommodating. The lot is not easy to work with, but he did a superb job balancing the manicuring of the natural growth while still cleaning it all up for us. He even sent video and photos to ensure the job was to our satisfaction prior to departing, since we couldn't personally be there. Being a hands on, self-starting family who owned and operated our own construction outfit for many years, it's an added plus to us to know our business is going to a locally owned and operated small family business. Quality work and easy to work with; multiple forms of payment accepted. We will be using Home Grown Landscaping in the future and urge you to, too!

His prices were clear and competitive. The team was careful to lay down protective wood for the bucket truck & the wood chipper to protect our lawn. The team work was incredible to see - they also did a fantastic job of clearing up after them, clearing all of the branches and leaves. We took down approximately 15 trees, trimmed multiple large oaks, pines, hemlocks and stumps. Josh was also responsive to some additional scope that we added while they were working, for a reasonable agreed additional fee. We are extremely happy with Josh's service and would *highly recommend* him & his team. We always do our due diligence before hiring - we had 5 different tree trimming companies come and look at the same scope before deciding to choose Rivers Tree Service. We now have beautiful sunsets, glittering river views and pink skies in the evening.
