Huge fan of Pitch Pines fertilization, weed control, program. We prepay for the year and like clock-work they show up and take care of the rest. Unbelievably reliable, professional service. This is our 3rd year using their weed/feed lawn maintenance services. Before Pitch Pines, our "lawn" was really bad. It was actually more of a weed and mole/vole sanctuary (wish I was exaggerating). It's not that we didn't try and didn't spend a lot of money going the DIY route. I had convinced myself we just had really bad soil. Nope, it was me haha ... it's clear now I didn't know just what to use and when to use it. Since signing on, it's been marked steady improvement and now in year 3, we have a beautiful think, green healthy lawn with zero dandelions and virtually zero weeds. Even though we don't have a sprinkler system, our lawn looks as good as any and better than most including neighbors' sod / sprinklered lawns. And what a value! Recently hired Pitch Pines to do a spring cleanup, removal of wood chips from stump removal and fertilizer applications. They came out today, did the cleanup and removal of chips as well as got in the first application before the rains come. We are very happy with the work they did! Yard looks great, looking forward to the fertilizer and weed control to take hold. Communicating with them was also good, so friendly and accommodating. Plan on using them for other projects. I am beyond words disappointed in Chris Wagner and the business that Pitch Pines does. We paid over $10,000 for a stone staircase and stone wall and within a year, the stones were falling apart, coming loose, uneven, and not "staying put". My husband and I both emailed, called, and sent letters requesting some assistance and guidance as to how to fix it and resolve the poor quality of work that was done and how to go about repairing it. We asked for it to be done. I mean, after spending that much, the least they could do is fix their mistakes. Well, no. After three years, I received a text message stating "Go to Home Depot and buy stone glue." That, in and of itself, should show you not to deal with them. I'm sure they do a nice job mowing lawns, but I would never hire them for any service. They are incredibly unprofessional and do not stick to a schedule. I'm ashamed we ever used them. Pitch Pines is a fantastic landscaping company. Over the years I have had them perform many services for me including retaining walls, sidewalks, tree removal and cleanups. The two owners (Chris and Mike) are extremely professional, courteous and always on time. Once they complete a job the completely clean up the area. They both take a lot of pride ion their work. The first job they did for me was a large retaining wall in 2007 which is still standing strong and looks as good as it did on the first day is was complete. I was so pleased I allowed them to use the wall in their promotional materials. I have read other reviews about them which were very negative which shock me since the quality of work I received was top notch ....and they don't "only accept cash", I have paid them with checks on many occasions. The only reason I have rated them a 4 instead of a 5 is because Yelp tends to not post the 5's. read more

I have had three experiences over the past year using Pitch Pines services. One was with in repairing a 13 year old bluestone stairway, the second was multiple tree removal, and the third was with landscaping. On all three occasions, I found the following to be consistently true: I was always treated with the utmost courteous professionalism. Then end result was professional and looked spectacular. I was given an accurate estimate and date schedule for the work. Attention was given to respecting the areas around the work being done as not to cause any damage or disruption to surrounding plantings or structures. I cannot vouch for their project based services but as far as lawncutting and trimming go, they are usually pretty good. I have them come weekly and they routinely move objects from the lawn to give a nice clean cut, rather than doing things the lazy way. They are also receptive to any suggestions I make. read more

This company was cleaning parking lot this weekend I was parked in and blew garbage, sand, dirt, rocks, ect into my car while I was sitting in it. I couldn't even see out of my window. I would NEVER hire this company to do any work for me seeing how they hire people with no common courtesy or respect for others personal property. Look around today and all you see is Pitch Pines equipment and site work being performed on both residential and large commercial accounts. I've used Pitch Pines for fertilizing, landscaping, drainage systems and trees. Recently I entrusted them to redefine my backyard after installing an in-ground pool. This included installing a hot tub pad, clearing light woods and leveling the terrain, providing mulch and river rock flower beds as well as the installation of a fire pit. The expertise, genuine concern and professional etiquette they both exhibit are why they've experienced so much success in recent years. They deserve a 5 star rating and nothing less.
