I had an excellent experience with Premo. Their initial reach out procedure is a bit unorthodox (I had to fill out a couple of questions on their website before speaking with anyone, but after that, I was always able to get someone on the phone), but everyone I spoke to and worked with--from Richard, to Niall & Peter who performed the work--was great. I just bought a house and needed a Tesla wall connector installed. After several calls with Richard, during which I asked many, many questions, we determined that I needed a second subpanel. Richard gave me an estimate, scheduled an appointment quickly, and sent me friendly reminders about my appointment. This morning, Niall and Peter arrived exactly on time. They communicated to me what they were planning to do, where they recommend installing the Tesla wall connector, and what circuits they would be moving to a second subpanel. The job was obviously huge because Niall and Peter were working continuously for most of the day. When they were done, my boondoggle of a panel system was re-labeled correctly, the second subpanel looked great, my Tesla wall connector looked great, they had patched up the drywall, and they honored the original estimate, despite that the project was obviously huge and bigger than originally anticipated. Niall and Peter are very skilled electricians, and they are hard-working and a pleasure to work with too. A few years back, in the middle of the pandemic, I wrote a review with a 1 star rating. As I explained, that rating was nothing to do with the quality of the electrical work, it was the fact that the electrician was very dismissive of the pandemic situation, and the need to keep distance from others. I have no regret about that review - every word was true. However, as I also mentioned, Mr Premo contacted me, and apologized. I was very impressed by that, and it stayed in my mind. Anyway, here we are three years later, and we are moving house. A pre-sale home inspection identified some electrical issues, mostly with my main panel, but also pointed out that a 220V outlet in my garage didn't have power (I already knew this, because the old breaker had been removed, and the wires snipped down; but I didn't think it could be fixed). First thing I looked at, on Yelp, was Premo Electric; I saw that they are still getting solid 5 star reviews for the quality of their work. So I contacted Mr. Premo, explaining the work to be done. Within a couple of hours, Richard called, and we arranged for someone to come out. Two people showed up - Christian and Peter - very nice people. They worked quickly and efficiently, and it was very clear that they knew exactly what they were doing. Very skilled guys. Bottom line: the panel wiring now looks great, and they installed a new breaker, and re-attached the wires to re-activate the 220V outlet. Great work. We're moving a bit north, to Encinitas, but Christian told me that Premo Electric also services that area. So, if we need work at our new house, I'll definitely be calling them. read more

A few dead outlets, replace doorbell transformer, found an updated an incorrect breaker at our panel, and rewired a couple of switches for lighting. Yelp sent my quote request to four electricians and Premo Electric responded first will a phone call. Richard called and said he can come now. He asked about the problem and to get a photo of the electrical panel sent to him. He called back and agreed to come and told me the charge. He came in 30 minutes, was courteous and wore shoe booties in my house, checked the outlet and the panel. He found a circuit overload tripped the breaker but no faulty materials to replace. I really struggled with finding a local company to do electrical work at my house. Lots wouldn't respond after talking to me on the phone. Premo was the opposite. I was able to call and send emails and quickly get scheduled for everything I needed done. Niall and Peter came to my house for installing an EV charger, installing recessed lighting, installing an outdoor plug, and troubleshooting a weird bathroom fixture. They always wore booties inside and cleaned up well after they were done. We have had work done by Premo in the past, so when our roofing contractor plugged in a large compressor and we lost electrical outlets in the garage (AND lighting in the house?), they were the first ones I called. They couldn't get out that afternoon, but Niall was here at 0830 the next morning. He tracked down the (very well hidden) GFCI outlet that had tripped and got that reset, fixing the garage power. The interior lighting was a flaky older breaker that had to be pushed over extra hard in order to reset. (The breaker was probably tripped by the roofer while trying to restore power to the dead GFCI outlet circuit.) Niall cleared the problem and showed me how to force reset the old breaker in the future. Great response as always, professional and friendly work! Highly recommended. read more

I wanted to get celing fans installed in three rooms. None of the rooms had any lights in the ceiling so I reached out to a few Electric companies for quotes. Premo Electric was who I choose to do business with. The other companies were professional on the phone as well, I just liked My conversation best with Premo Electric.
