My experience with Premo Electric was fantastic and they kept me informed throughout the process. George called me shortly after I submitted my online form with information about what I needed. He asked me questions and had me send over a photo so he could see what kind of unit we had. He explained things in a simple to understand way and gave us an estimate both of what we can do now and what we may need to do in the future. We initially got set for a few days out but ultimately there was a cancellation the day we called so he was able to send two guys out that same day. Julian and Peter called before they got to the house to let us know an estimate. They were helpful and polite and did the job fairly quick. They also explained a few more things about what they expected to do. They finished within the estimate originally provided and in total it took about an hour and a half to add a circuit for our new portable air conditioning unit. This company understands people's time constraints and doesn't give you those ridiculous four or six hour windows of when they might come over. I'll be suggesting them to all of my friends who decide to set up their air conditioning based on their clear knowledge of everything and fantastic customer service. I waited a bit to write the review because I didn't get the air conditioner unit until a few days after the job was done. Had a great experience with George and Niall, installing a Tesla wall connector for my house. Easy to work with, scheduling was smooth, Niall was seasoned, and it works like a charm. There was a choice to have it close to the breakers for $675 or at double to have it hook up on the other side of the garage. I ended up getting the 25 foot wall connector, so went with the closet and cheaper option. I definitely look forward to using these guys for future work! read more

I actually found Premo Electric on yelp. Based on their reviews, I decided to call. I spoke to George whom gave me a quote over the phone. The call took about 20 minutes and he answered all my questions. He then was able to schedule me within a week. I was able to call him the day before my appointment and make some adjustments to my work order without any issues. He was full of extremely helpful advise on the things I was getting done and took his time to discuss with me. I decided to get 4 recessed 6" lights and a ceiling fan installed within my living room. Additionally, I installed an outdoor outlet so that I can hang lights on my back porch. They charge per type of installation versus hourly which I like as being a newer home owner. I always fear that a job can get out of hand but they charged exactly what I was quoted. I thought the job was reasonably priced based on my research. Abraham and Pete came today. They were even a little early which was great because I needed to leave for work. They walked through the project with me as soon as they got there and really understood all our many multiple requests. They worked efficiently and did a great job. I am so excited. I cannot begin to say enough good things. My opinion of a service provider goes up exponentially when they DON'T sell you services you don't need but still take the time to explain why. Any idiot can pass you off. Any idiot can charge you a callout fee for something you don't really need. It takes class to walk a would be customer through how they can save money elsewhere. My house lights kept dimming. I called for an appointment, having made sure I had grand or two set aside for whatever was found. Instead, I had a clear explanation of how SDG&E could likely fix it for free. But, so my time wouldn't be wasted if they couldn't, a callout appointment was set up anyway that I could just cancel if they fixed things. SDG&E managed to track down the issue and re wired me back to the street. Premo, when I called to cancel, remembered me and took time to ask about what SDG&E did even though it wasn't going to lead to more business. You don't get better service than that. I intend to be in SD for many years to come and they've got a customer out of me whenever I need anything. read more

Amazing Service. I contacted Premo via their website link to inquire about home electric vehicle charging installation (they are certified by Tesla). They promptly responded with a detailed questionnaire requesting more specifics including photos to help them prepare for the installation. They contacted me the next day to confirm details and scheduled an appointment. The electrician texted and called me prior to the scheduled appointment time to confirm my availability and then showed up right on time. We needed some miscellaneous lighting fixed so I contacted Premo because of their great Yelp ratings. Now I understand why, they were so helpful with our sense of urgency, very communicative even when they were running behind and called as promised when they were on their way. Niall and Pete came to do rewiring of the ceiling fan I incorrectly installed and to bring it up to code standards. Niall was great at advising the best wiring solution, which was not the most expensive one, and also resetting the remote. They did this neatly and efficiently. Then, I had them look at a failed wall mount halogen light and, to make a long story short, they corrected for the prior installers incorrect work, advised me on which parts to buy and installed a new box in the wall to fit the correct driver. They did a really good job, at a fair price, did not try to take advantage of the situation and completed on time. I can't ask for more than that! read more

We needed a few light fixtures and a ceiling fan replaced along with a few other items and George was able to schedule an appointment a couple days later. I was emailed prior to the appointment to let me know who was coming to do the work and to confirm time/date. Niall and Pete were on time and did a great job. I called Premo when we had an electrical issue. They were able to come out same day. Actually it was within a couple hours of contacting them via Yelp and email. Cost for service call was explained up front. Simple and straight forward. Niall called before arriving, was on time, and courteous. I cannot thank Premo Electric enough for the work they did to our house. My husband and I purchased an older house a couple months ago and it needed some work. We contacted Premo Electric for some electrical work and George contacted us immediately and asked to see the report from the home inspector. I'm so glad he requested this since it allows George to accurately give us an idea of what needs to be done. Julian and Peter came out to do our electrical work. At first we thought it was just going to take a day or 2, it ended up being a 3 day job. After Julian and Peter did their investigative work to see what condition our 1960s house was in, they realized that a lot more work needed to be done. We were not really surprised by this, as the previous owner of our home seemed to be a big DIY'er and he did not do a good job. So Julian and Peter had their work cut out for them. Julian was extremely helpful and really explained things to us in a way that we could understand. When decisions needed to be made, he gave us options and his recommendation. When we were unsure, he took the time to really explain things further to make sure that we understood exactly what we were making a decision on. Just by talking with Julian, we could tell that he was passionate about his job and that he really cared about the work he was doing. I was recommended to Premo Electric from a neighbor. I called to get help on a bath replaced GFCI plug the was not working. I troubleshooted the plug, circuit breaker, and lines but had reached the end of my DIY capabilities. Richard at Premo returned my call and asked that I send pictures to see if he could diagnose over the phone. After 30 minutes of him directing to try various solutions, he was able to determine the problem which I then "fixed". All this at no charge but simply to build goodwill in hopes that we would use Premo in the future. Completely refreshing in this day and age. My overall experience was both bad and good and somewhere in between. I picked Premo Electric based on Yelp reviews. The initial price quotes that I got over the phone were reasonable and the person who I spoke with seemed knowledgable. Scheduling an initial appointment was easy and then things went down hill a bit... I had multiple projects that I needed done. 1. The breaker for one area of our backyard kept getting tripped. I needed the issue identified and resolved. 2. I needed two external wall sconces hung with power routed to them. 3. I needed a security light hung with power routed to it. 4. I needed low-voltage front yard lights wired and installed. Task#1 took the better part of an afternoon. (An outside RFID box was swapped out.) Task #2 took nearly a whole day. Task #3 was started on one afternoon, not done correctly, and then fixed on another afternoon. Task #4 took two days. All of these visits were spread over almost 2 months with the lighting supply company mis-ordering things and causing even more delays. It all just took so long and when you're paying for the electricians' time by the hour, it's not really something that you appreciate. I thought that it would take 2-3 days with maybe a week's worth of wait time for some of the lights to be ordered and delivered. It all works and it's all nicely installed, but it took FOREVER and ended up being more expensive than I expected. read more

Owners George and Matt were really helpful in getting everything set up. The electricians, Richard, Peter and Benny were very good. They were on time, they ran the lines under the house, they knew what they were doing. We got our entire electrical panel replaced and got two 50 amp lines run for our oven and Tesla charging station. When we had a problem with an outlet, they sent someone right over to fix the issue.
