Besides pastries, this place had loaves af bread and cakes. It is located in the RESO network close to the train station. There is plenty of seating adjacent to the bakery. One had a subtle lemon flavor, and the cream puff (choux) was filled with a whole hazelnut inside--a nice surprise that I loved. What stood out was that they weren't overly sweet, which made them even more enjoyable. Prices were reasonable at around $7 each, and they do accept credit cards. Service was a bit on the slow side since there was only one person working, but overall it was fine.

I was unaware…read morethis is a chain of bakeries in the area (where have I been????), but this amazing boulangerie-patisserie is located inside the Atwater Market, close to the Lachine Canal side, on the second floor. The breads here are to die for; every kind imaginable, and then some.(They had a huge, large soft loaf in the shape of a pretzel with tons of slices of Kalamata olives in it. OMG). The pastries are bloody amazing: tarts, croissants, danishes, muffins, cookies, pies, whole cakes, slices of cakes - you name it. All absolutely gorgeous. There's gourmet chocolates and confections, beautifully wrapped (i.e., bite-size meringues in various flavors, Turkish delight cubes, truffles, marzipan figures, and more). And lots of lovely local gourmet jams and spreads and other condiments. At the back there are salads and sandwiches and lunch-time fare. (The lobster roll looked incredible!). This place is dangerous. That's all I can say.

I usually hit the Verdun one, but this location is just as solid. Prices are normal (honestly think their baguettes are even cheaper than Metro). And the croissants... easily some of my favourites. Always buttery, always flaky.

What we didn't realise at first was that it's important to press a button on the machine near the front door to pick a number because we would have to wait for our number to be called. The place got packed pretty quickly and all of a sudden there was a double line in front of the display case all the way up to the register. Ultimately, we were impressed with a lot of what we got: muffin banane pacane caramel was moist and nutty, guedille au homard was fresh and left us wanting more, and Jesuits was a fluffy, crispy perfection. The rest if the bunch including pain aux raisins and filouze, were decent but not particularly memorable. There's enough goodies here to make us return, so we'll be back.

In short, one your standard chain patisseries serving savory and sweet goods alongside various other items. Not bad! L O C A T I O N Premiere Moisson is in the DIX30 district area part of the area with Starbucks Cafe. There's various other stores nearby like a meat shop, fish shop, etc. It's quite interesting how specialty stores are prevalent around here. Lots of parking shared by all the stores. I N S I D E It's a fairly sizeable store. There's a person at the front monitoring the number of people inside and will give you a ticket with a number. That number is your place in line to order, so pay attention to the number being called and yes they will say it in french so know your numbers! There's a deli area, pastry area, dessert/cakes, and breads. In the center there were other goods like chocolates, jams and other items. They also sell drinks. T H E G O O D S As I mentioned they have a variety of items from deli (sandwiches, pastas, etc.), drinks (espressos, juices, etc), pastries (croissants, tarts, etc.), desserts (large and small cakes), breads (loafs, small savory items, etc.), jams, and chocolates. We got a few items: a mocha, a small almond pear tart, and a cranberry fig bread with raclette. The mocha was rich, a little bitter, but went well with some of our sweet items. The almond pear tart was good. Not very memorable. What was memorable was the cranberry fig bread. It looked like something from out of this world. It was hard and chewy, but the flavors were quite good. There were walnuts I believe in the bread as well. The fig sweetness went well with the cranberry tartness and the funkiness of the raclette cheese went well with everything. The only thing was that it was kind of hard to eat. Like hard hard...not difficult. S E R V I C E It was like a well oiled machine in there. So many people. They wrapped our tart in a fancy box even though we were going to just eat it right away. The bread wrapped in a bag. The mocha did take a little time though to get. O V E R A L L It basically has your basic bakery needs and then some. Nothing was amazing, but everything was ok. Service was outstanding and price was reasonable. The energy isn't rushed but do be mindful that this location is small. The sourdough Baguette we got was anything but 'chain' and had that perfect crispness and soft inside that said, 'homemade'. My Matcha Latte was good and hubs liked his decaf Cap. My Chocolate Croissant had a wonderful glob of dark chocolate goodness in the center and wished I had another. Their kouign-amann was heavy; considering what I've read about its light interior, this one fell short. Both the baguette and my chocolate croissant were the all-around winners out of the few other things we picked up- but will keep these guys in mind for these two items and hot beverages.

It's a very aesthetically pleasing cafe and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing! We had their Avocado Toast and their Smoked Salmon Croissant. Both were great dishes, but the salmon croissant was the star of the show. The salmon was perfectly tender and it paired so well with the soft buttery croissant and fresh cucumbers. The plating was so beautifully done for both dishes and the drinks came in a lovely ceramic cup. Not only did they have breakfast foods, but they also had a bunch of bread and pastries to order. We bought a bunch to snack on at the airport. You can't go wrong with any of them, but I just love their croissants.

We survived off of them during a very long day at the grand prix. Once we realized we could bring in food, we immediately decided on bringing in a bag of them. They're flakey and buttery, everything you want in a croissant. We also had the ham and cheese croissant sandwich, which was delicious. We also got the yogurt, strawberries, and sliced toasted almonds. It was a runnier style yogurt that I really enjoyed. Everything complemented each other. Everyone there was super nice. There was construction going on when we went, making it a little hard to get to the entrance, but once we figured it out, it was a breeze. We also got their Italian sandwich to go. And just wow. Their baguettes are to die for. Everything about that sandwich was perfect. I craved them so much that when I got back home, all I've been eating for lunch are my sad attempts at an Italian sandwich on a baguette. Their bathroom is also pretty clean and has multiple stalls! I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.
