Premium Escrow was selected by the sellers of the home we put an offer on, not by us. When the inspection showed issues with every major system in the home, we cancelled our offer within our inspection period. Unfortunately, Premium Escrow charged us a $150 fee for this, which seems really unjust and unnecessary. I would not recommend doing business with this company. read more

If you want to work with a disagreeable, slow, and inconvenient escrow company that operates like it's the 1970s, Premium Escrow is for you. Aside from the snooty impatient attitudes of the people who work here, they require you to sign everything as actual hardcopy documents and then they charge you $65 to overnight mail those docs to you...when I KNOW in fact that you can DocuSign these documents. Yes, I'm a first-time home buyer, so I'm new to this, but I was in escrow on a house earlier -- via Glen Oaks Escrow (great company, they were really nice and easy to work with) -- and Glen Oaks was totally OK with online signed documents. My escrow ended up being delayed by almost 2 weeks because my hardcopy signed documents got lost in the mail (which made me very uneasy because they have all my personal information in it). Ultimately I had to convince the seller's realtor to pay for a free overnight shipping label for me to resend the documents...after I had to print all 20 pages out myself. Talk about a pain in the a** that could have been easily avoided. Lysette who was my main escrow contact was also incredibly RUDE and even started an email to me with the word "ugh!" How is that professional?! Anyways, these people are rude jerks who won't make the home buying or selling process any easier. I HIGHLY encourage you to do your business elsewhere. Despite somewhere between 7-12 emails with DETAILED instructions of which checks were to be sent to which parties in which amounts, Lysette UNILATERALLY decided to send all proceeds to one party. Essentially, we're left having to collect money that was wrongfully given to a third party and has already been deposited/spent. I cannot stress the unfathomable level of incompetence displayed by Lysette. If she were not basically in charge, I would do everything in my power to have her fired. read more

We just bought our first house! Dealing with the lender was a stressful process and we were coming down to the last days of escrow. We needed to have the loan documents prepared by a certain day and lender sent the forms at the 11th (really the 12th) hour after Premium Escrow office was closed. We had been in communication with Lysette all day and she really saved us. She stayed late to make sure the loan documents were ready for a mobile notary the following day.
