Every transaction we've closed with her has been amazing. She's quick to respond and my clients have nothing but great things to say about the experience. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a great escrow officer!

5 year update! I still haven't received anything from South Hills on a refunded emd of $5,000. The…read moreescrows opened was with a fraudulent seller but this escrow didn't care. Even though identity theft (fraudster impersonating seller) Evelyn demanded a signature from them. Since I deposited the EMD, we had the pandemic, 3 different presidential elections, I started a family- I might be an old man when I finally get a response from this god awful company. They somehow keep getting my reviews on google and yelp deleted so every 6 months I check in to make sure everyone knows how terrible they are. I have closed over 200 escrows in the last 8 years and only one with this terrible company. The people I talk to are so incompetent at SH Escrow it makes me think it's a front for cleaning money. Maybe that's where my $5,000 is? Maybe it was used to buy coke in Cabo or a ceiling mirror over a cartel leaders bed. Who knows! With inflation, that $5,000 is worth like $3,900 today. Maybe when I finally get it back in 40 years it will be enough for me to get some groceries. Anyway, I checked the state website to "reclaim lost property" like they told me to and still nothing. I wasn't surprised. Everything they say is a lie. Maybe this is me finally giving up. Enjoy your vacation Evelyn and team! I hope you put the money to good use like a nice pool table or a bathroom remodel.

Initially she…read morewas attentive and responded in a timely matter, once we wired the EMD we didn't hear much about anything. We would have to send the same email twice in order to get a response from her. There was even an incident where she sent us a receipt that didn't belong to us about a week after we submitted our EMD. When I informed her of her mistake she asked us to please delete it. The names were no where near close to ours. When we cancelled escrow, she informed us that we would have to pay a fee. When we tried asking where in the contract it states there is a fee (other than the $25 fee stated in the contract) she pointed to a cancellation clause that DOES NOT specify an amount that would have to be paid. All she said was "fee is $250-500 but I can bring it down to $150". When I asked about the $25/month fee she simply said that didn't pertain to us. Which didn't make sense in my mind. When we picked up our check they didn't even ask for identification to verify identity! I wouldn't not recommend this escrow company.
