You'll start with Misty at their showroom. With some measurements and a couple photos, she'll begin your design, providing 3D renderings along the way. She couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful and patient. My wife Karen and her friend Colleen were the primary decision makers. But, realizing I was out numbered, Misty was compassionately accommodating with the couple of requests I had. Once the design is approved, Bryce (owner) came out to our house for final measurements. Even after his meticulous work, it turned out our refrigerator wouldn't fit under the cabinet above it. He and Misty made the exchange for the next smaller size a breeze. In addition to a top shelf customer experience all the way around, their price was within $100 of Builders Surplus!! I had been wanting to remodel my kitchen for a long time. About a year ago, I began collecting estimates. Most of the companies I met with were either vague, pushy, or both. Several gave high bundled quotes and refused to explain what was included. When I asked for a line-item breakdown, I was told it wasn't possible or was ignored entirely. A few companies also told me (only after quoting the cabinets) that I'd be required to use their in-house electrical, plumbing, and countertop services. That made it difficult to compare options and eroded trust. I got frustrated and put the project on hold. Months later, I picked things back up with clearer expectations. I told every company that if they couldn't provide a fully itemized quote up front, I wasn't interested. None did as I asked. I was starting to wonder whether anyone would take the approach I was asking for. One afternoon, while heading to Microcenter and planning to stop at Holé Molé for brisket tacos, I spotted a cabinet showroom called Premium Cabinets. On a whim, I pulled in. The showroom was small and simple, but I was greeted immediately by Misty. She explained that they work with a select number of high-quality products, available in a variety of finishes. She showed me samples and pointed out that the boxes were thick, high-grade plywood, and the doors and drawer fronts were solid wood. There was no MDF or particleboard, and soft-close hardware came standard. Misty asked if I had photos or drawings. I did. Before I left, she loaned me two door samples to review in my space. Less than an hour later (while I was still eating tacos) I received a full proposal with drawings, 3D renderings, and a detailed, line-by-line estimate. Every cabinet, trim piece, and accessory was listed with pricing, tax, and subtotal. It was the clearest and most transparent quote I'd seen. I had follow-up questions the next day, but Misty was off. She encouraged me to speak with Bryce, the owner. Bryce walked me through the design and made thoughtful suggestions. He clearly knew the materials, process, and common installation issues. His feedback was practical, not sales-driven. After thinking it over, I told him we wanted to move forward. He came out the next day to take precise measurements and sent me an updated quote with labor included. At first, I thought the labor number seemed high. I had assumed the cabinets would arrive pre-assembled and be mounted directly to the walls. Bryce explained they're assembled on-site and tailored to the space. I said if that's the case, I wanted one of his best installers. He said that was already the plan. I also asked whether they handled plumbing, electrical, or countertops. Bryce said no, but offered to connect me with people he trusted. I initially declined, thinking I could source better options myself. That didn't work out. Most were expensive, unresponsive, or only worked time-and-materials, which had caused problems for me before. I went back and asked for the referrals. Bryce introduced me to three people: Delfino for demo, drywall, tile, painting, and backsplash work; Arturo for plumbing and electrical; and Lalo for countertops. All three reached out the same day, came out quickly, and gave fixed-price quotes. They were direct, clear, and spoke highly of Bryce. It was obvious they had worked together often. Delfino removed the old cabinets, patched and prepped walls, and removed a faux wall that added six inches to my kitchen. Arturo upgraded the plumbing and electrical, and even added a pot filler that wasn't planned for, but was most welcome. Their work was clean and efficient. Once they finished, Doug delivered the cabinet materials. They were unassembled, boxed individually, and ready for on-site construction to match the exact room conditions. Jack, the installer, arrived a few days later. He worked alone and stayed on the job until it was done. He was focused, meticulous, and highly skilled. He assembled each cabinet, checked alignment, adjusted spacing, and handled a few layout surprises on-site. This was clearly more than just hanging boxes on the wall. Jack built a custom kitchen that fit perfectly. His work was beyond exceptional. Once Jack finished, Delfino and Arturo returned to complete their final tasks, and Lalo came to template the countertops. All three stayed in touch and coordinated timing without delays. I never had to chase anyone. Everyone followed through. Even after Premium Cabinets had been paid in full, Bryce stayed involved. He offered guidance on sequencing and made sure the remaining work stayed on track. That kind of follow-through was rare. The result was amazing. I highly recommend Premium Cabinets. Bryce, Misty, and Jack were professional, thorough, and reliable. Delfino, Arturo, and Lalo were equally skilled and easy to work with. There was a particular gray I was looking for that only they had in stock (another place had it but wanted 8 weeks for delivery). Bryce, As a business owner, your behavior is deeply embarrassing. Instead of taking responsibility for your own mistakes, you've chosen to shift blame onto your customers. You mentioned hiring cheaper laborers who supposedly damaged the cabinets. Do you have any evidence to support this claim? Did you witness them mishandling the cabinets? NO. Furthermore, this issue is irrelevant to the main problems, which are multiple WRONG COLOR cabinets were delivered, and that the cabinets were 4 MONTHS OVERDUE. You copied and pasted Phuong's email. Take a look at her last email to us which is attached below. According to the contract, all cabinets were supposed to be delivered within six weeks. Consequently, we hired installers for three months. These installers were paid but had no work to do after completing the cabinets that were delivered on time and were left waiting for the rest. It was Misthy's promise to send your own installer to finish the rest without any fee. Both us and our interior designer are your victims. Phuong has already admitted that she received the same information from Misthy as we did. I have attached evidence proving that your cabinets were indeed four months overdue, and supports everything that I mentioned above: - We incurred approximately $25,000 in expenses for four months of house rent ( the rest of the house was finished but the cabinets were not so we could not move in). - We lost money paid to our installers who had nothing to do while waiting for the remaining cabinets to be delivered. - Phuong suffered financial losses due to your irresponsiveness, denial, and lies. You were supposed to take responsibility and reimburse Phuong. Misty was supposed to keep her words. Instead, you CHOSE to KEEP all Phuong's MONEY and BLAME everything on us. After almost a year of planning, research, and shopping for our kitchen remodel, I am excited to say we are done!!!!! Hallelujah!!! Because I also wanted to get new floors throughout the house I really had to budget out our kitchen. Having helped my folks last year with their remodel I had a good idea of what was out there and knew what I wanted and what I didn't want. As far as cabinets it was important for me to have features like: dovetail and soft close drawers, full extension drawers and all wood construction (our old cabinets were the particle board stuff that disintegrated when wet). I visited with a lot of vendors and got a total of 7 quotes--5 for the ready to assemble (RTA) cabinets and 2 for the custom. We went for the RTA due to the price point and our budget. I have to admit we were skeptical about RTA but you quickly learn there are some RTA cabinets that are really bad and others that are surprisingly decent. I found Premium Cabinets in Santa Ana thanks to Yelp. Their reviews, while just a few, were pretty good. I called one afternoon and spoke to Bryce. I had a good feeling about him so made an appointment to see his cabinets the next day. He gave me homework and asked me to take rough measurements of my kitchen. I went ahead and did that and drew a simple diagram. The next day, we met and he had good displays of the cabinets and a huge selection of colors. I was drawn to his cabinets because they are a higher quality than a lot of the other vendors out there. In fact- if you are looking to get RTA cabinets, I encourage you to go to Home Depot and Lowe's and then check his out. In fact check out some model homes like we did and you will see that even the model homes use an inferior RTA cabinet when compared to Premium. I have a very small "U" shaped kitchen and I explained to Bryce that because we entertain and cook alot that it was important to maximize my kitchen work area so that I had more storage and surface area. He took my rough measurements and came up with a computer generated drawing and estimate. I was excited because the plan was to turn my kitchen into a "G" shape by adding a peninsula for storage and space. Next step he came to our home and did the official measurements. We went back to his showroom later to select the materials and come to a plan. We must have changed the computer drawing at least 5 times before approving one. By this time there was no turning back and I was so nervous!!! I honestly have to say that working with Bryce was a pleasure. He was always available by email, phone or text and answered every question thrown his way. He was totally professional, upfront and easy going which are all important qualities in your contractor when going thru the stress of a kitchen remodel. One last thing--- if you need someone to install them or if you need countertops, be sure to let him know. While he doesn't employ these folks he uses them when needed and they are quite skilled in their trade. The cabinet installers spoke mostly Chinese but knew enough English to get around. The countertops guy (Jose???) was totally cool and did an excellent job at fabricating and installing our quartz. Bryce coordinates everything with them so you don't have to worry about it. In the end...the whole experience in working with Bryce was so positive and kind of fun and I am already thinking of our bathroom remodels for next year!!! Thank you again Bryce!!!!! read more

They have very high quality, real wood custom cabinets at a great price. I got a much higher quote from western states cabinets than my quote at Premium cabinets, with same styles and quality. Misty helped me finalize my kitchen design with 3D images, then Bryce came to my house and confirmed the measurements. After I placed the order, my cabinets were delivered to me in a timely fashion. All cabinets came already assembled and ready to install, they can suggest some cabinets installers if you need them. My new kitchen looks beautiful now and I can't be happier. I intentionally waited a few months after our kitchen and bath cabinets were installed. I wanted to comment on the wear/durability as well as the installation process. Overall, I couldn't be happier. For a prefabricacted process they did an excellent job fitting as much storage area in a very attractive manner. Our kitchen and bathroom are greatly improved AND look highly integrated with the rest of the interior design of our home. There's no sense these were installed years after the home was built. Fresh, clean, updated and a consistent appearance for our home. All of the subcontractors were a pleasure to work with and each thoroughly knew their craft. They were respectful of our home as we were living/functioning in it while they worked. Knowing construction is messy, I was pleased with their efforts to clean up at the close of each day. As with any construction effort there are problems that arise. We had our share but the manner all parties worked together to resolve issues was really appreciated. I can confidently reccomend Bryce and his team. I still want to get a "touch up" kit to have on hand for any minor damages that may occur in the future, and hope to get it from them soon. Absolutely horrible experience with this company! I got a referral and saw good reviews about them online. They had the style and color of doors that I preferred over what my GC could offer, so I decided to order from them. They required 70% worth of the cabinets as deposit just to get things rolling. Ok, no problem, I had prepared to pay the entire amount anyways, or so I thought. Despite having collected Thousands of dollars from me, they failed to send the 3D design over, and only did so after so many phone calls and email reminders from me (other companies did it on site and I only waited 30-1 hour tops). Moreover, their staff were nonresponsive most of the time, only replied to my messages sporadically. Then, shit really happened. First, 3 days before expected delivery date, they told me that the promised installation date, which they required me to pay thousands of dollars to secure, was not gonna happen. I would have to wait for days (by this time, I had already paid my GC overtime to make sure they demoed and installed the tile in time for the cabinets to arrive). Then, a few days later, they told me that the cabinets that I paid thousands of dollars for were actually not available at all. The owner Bryce had the audacity to tell me that it is completely normal to collect from people 70% worth of cabinets and not have to guarantee them the promised product. (Maybe he needs a dictionary to understand the word "deposit"). Then in the middle of job, the owner got offended because I merely requested his installer to go through a proper sanding and painting process (I was unhappy with the sample doors offered). He then stated that he was "done" with this job. At the time of this writing, I'm still in the middle of fixing the mess that they created. I need to seek for cabinet installers who can put together the half finished job that their installer left behind. Furthermore, today I found out that the shelves (that were left uninstalled by their guys) were not even the correct size. Thanks God for my GC who has a relationship with another cabinet company. I priced cabinets with several different vendors in Orange County and while 405 Cabinets came in at the lowest cost, they were unable to do any customizations.
