I came in to this place to have the hem and slit taken in a new silk dress for a company party. While there I put the dress on and the seamstress when ahead and did the measuring of the hem and slit etc. I then asked the woman who took my phone number, how much was it going to cost for everything, including steaming. She said $120, a little pricey but I'm not familiar with pricing and I need my dress so I was ok with that. I also needed this dress steamed, which I assumed it was part of the price. Bad on me for assuming. I came to pick up my dress and the woman told me the total was $150ish, I said I thought it was $120. She said this was a very hard dress to work on. Then she followed by saying, the slit was not done because it was not possible, so instead they place snap buttons to "reduce" the slit. When I tried the dress at home and close the buttons the dress now creates an uneven crease and you still see my high thigh through the crease. What's frustrating is that I feel a little deceived on the price and the fact they still charged full price for not doing what I asked them when it came to the slit. The stitching on the snap buttons is terrible. I I think this type of customer service behavior unethical, specially not calling the customer before doing something different than what I asked. In this case, if snap buttons were the solution, I would have said no. This is very frustrating and disappointing. I would leave negative stars if I could...one is too much for this dishonest establishment. I have been getting clothing dry cleaned for over two decades, both personally and professionally as a wardrobe stylist. In all of my years I have never been charged as exorbitantly as I was with Premiere Cleaners, for mediocre results. Furthermore, the way it was done was 100% unethical. Firstly, my bill totalled $73.19 to iron a duster and dress, and to dry clean one dress. Both the duster and dress were returned partially wrinkled. The cost of both was $51.20, while the dress cost $21.99 to dry clean. When I settled the bill, the cashier deceptively confirmed a price of $21.99 for all three pieces, which is also the total that showed up on the card reader. Shortly after, I realized I was charged $73.19 after checking my transactions online. I immediately phoned the cleaners, they were unwilling to rectify the matter, which led me to report this fraudulent matter to my bank. I have done business with many upscale cleaners, primarily in the Beverly Hills area. I am not sure who is willing to pay such outrageous charges, however, it certainly is not me. I would not step foot into this dry cleaners again. Their business practices are unethical and criminal, which is unfortunate, as I would have spent many times over what they deceptively gained. Moreover, they intentionally do not add prices to the receipt, so they are able to scam their customers. Consider this a cautionary tale...beware of these scam artists. As for me, I will be shipping my clothing to Sharon's Cleaners in Torrance where I have done business for over a decade. I dropped of my suit with pants and shirt to be dry cleaned. It was all together on a nice wooden hanger. They returned my items with cheap hangers. When I asked where my nice hanger was they said they threw it out. No discount or replacement hanger offered. If you're going to throw away people's items you should advise they need to take it home. Now that post Covid return to office and in person meetings have returned I had to switch up my work wardrobe from yoga pants and workout wear to semi formal attire for my meetings with the big hitter studio executives. It's a cute little family run business that has a handy "green zone" for temporary parking in front, two pos stations, and an alteration counter. The ladies here are super friendly and I love that they have touch free transactions. My blazer came out looking brand new and the prices they charge here are super reasonable. Premier will now be my go-to spot for fast, friendly, efficient, and affordable cleaning! What's my tip? Well, traffic along Gateway Rd can get rather busy and finding a parking space in the front of the parking lot, by Rubios, gets congested, especially during lunchtime and on weekends. You're better off entering the shopping center from the back driveway, parking in the rear lot, located along Bressi Ranch Way! read more

I brought a simple polyester dress from Amazon in to have hemmed for my 7 year old daughter in December and was charged $18 (red and green dress photo attached). I came back in January with two more of the exact same dresses (same material, same hemming request) just in different colors (photo attached of blue one and black/white stripe one) and was told it was $30 per dress for a total for $60!!! I said how can you charge almost double the price for the exact same transaction a few weeks later. The lady was nice enough to call the manager and let her know how upset I was. She said she would give me the "discounted" price of $18 per dress this time but next time is will be $30 per dress. I said no problem, I won't be coming back here again. Terrible. I've had my dress hemmed there before. Affordable. $25. Nicely done. I came back with the exact same dress in a different color. Satin dress. And now I'm being charged $85 to hem. These folks did not realize I speak the language. When it was time to talk about pricing, they tried to haggle me. I was shocked to hear the price, so I respectfully declined. The person TOSSED me my dress and then called me cheap. I walked away because there was no need to argue. I think it's better for them to read about my experience here. So they can be mortified when they realize I understood their conversation. If I could give them negative stars I would. We were having a chronic problem of them cracking buttons on my husband's work shirts. First they told us it was because the buttons were "fancy" thick ones and we needed to dry clean those shirts. Made no difference. Then they put "a note" in their system about our button problem and that made no difference either. Finally it reached the point with one shirt where they'd used up all the spare buttons and the replacement buttons were cheap looking and didn't match even a little. I asked them to replace all the buttons with a matching set. They agreed and then when they said it was ready for pick up I discovered they just straight up didn't do it! While we were waiting on that shirt, my husband brought home another shirt - that had new cracked buttons!! Given the issues we'd been having, you'd think they would have checked the shirt before sending it home with us. So that was the last straw. I told them we would not be back when I picked up the last shirt. Then, when I went thru all my husband's shirts so I could replace buttons myself, I was shocked to find that at least half his shirts had cracked buttons!! I superglued the ones I could and replaced the ones that had pieces missing. If I'd known how bad it was we would have stopped going to them a long time ago. So much time and money wasted. read more

This Tuesday (9/28) I received a text message that Premiere Cleaners that has a special for comforters, bedspreads and blankets to get a 30% off star... I took my bedspread there the next day. The front desk checked my phone number. After all this checking, I showed her the text I received from the store. She then told me that the special does not start until this Friday. But since Premiere Cleaners moved in to my local area, I don't dread going to the cleaners anymore. I do get a discount through work so that makes the prices more competitive; however, I've noted that Premiere is still giving a 20% grand opening discount to anyone. Here is a short comparison of how I feel Premiere stacks up to other cleaners I've tried in Carlsbad: Premiere Cleaners in Bressi Ranch: 1. Good communication with staff 2. Clothes come back clean 3. When I left my clothes too long I've received a friendly, well-spoken voicemail that conveys they sincerely wanted to remind me I had clothes there (ohh yeah, that is where my favorite dress is) 4. Attention to detail (I took a dress that had a pulled seam and the cleaners called to ask me if I wanted them to fix it. I sew and was going to do it myself, buy heck, the dress was already there so I said yes.) 5. convenient location (for me at least) I'm at Stater Bros. or TJs three times a week anyway Other Cleaners: 1. staff isn't fluent in English so it can be hard to communicate 2. clothes come back looking and smelling fresh but still have stains 3. when I left my clothes too long, either they didn't call me, or I received a call telling me that if I didn't get my stuff they were going to give it away Even though I sew, I've gotten lazy so I've been taking my alterations to Premiere. Beware of this store! I took in two items that each had patches of leather but were not full leather pieces. They said they had to send them out and it would take longer and I agreed. They did NOT mention price until I went to pick them up and I was told they were $60 EACH! What? I'd had one of the tops cleaned before in another state for $15 dollars! I argued because if they had told me their price in advance I would have taken them elsewhere. I ended up paying $87 to retrieve my clothes. I will never use these crooks again! I started using Premier Cleaners a month ago and so far have been pleased with the service my husband and I received. We unfortunately dry clean a lot of clothing so we have weekly drop off and pick ups. They are a non-toxic dry cleaner which is a huge plus. I've used Premier Cleaners a few times and they've always been great. But a week ago I was doing some laundry and somehow let a Carmex go through the washer and dryer with a load of expensive work pants. When the came out of the dryer they had oil spots on every article of clothing and I thought they were ruined. I took them to Premier Cleaners and when I picked them up they had somehow gotten all of the carmex off and were nicely pressed. I'm guessing they saved me between $700 to $1000. Two reasons: 1) I was charged $28 for a simple replacement of a zipper on the side of a dress; and 2) I was not given the 30% discount advertised (hello false advertising). I hate to spread negative energy but I need to warn my neighbors about this cleaners. I tried them last week for the 1st time (saw 30% off coupon in the window off 1st order) with a sweater as a trial. Hardly dirty, no lint, nice sweater. When I got home and took it out of the plastic, it was covered in someone else's hair and littered with white lint. It was disgusting. Looked like someone used it to dust with. Can't tell how you disappointed I was with their low cleaning standard. They obviously didn't quality check it before wrapping it up. The lady at the counter gave me the impression that she didn't care for my business. She was a snob. Also, they don't really give a 20% discount on the prices that they quote. Don't expect ANY customer service or response from management if a problem or an issue arises with your laundry, especially if Premier Cleaners is responsible for the damage or tears. They will put a tag on your garment and claim that your clothes were already damaged, regardless if they were new and only worn twice. I was looking for a new dry cleaner after my previous dry cleaner of many years went out of business. I liked the idea that Premier cleaners was organic, so i gave them a try. First order came back with a button broken on my silk blouse. ok..they charged me $3 to replace the button. Next order came back with a torn seam down one pant leg and another pulled seam on another silk blouse. Coincidence or CARELESSNESS? They wanted to CHARGE ME AGAIN to repair what they damaged. Didn't seem like they really cared about keeping me as a customer. It's just common management sense to make the minor repairs at no charge and retain a happy customer, especially since it was the second time it happened. NOT HERE! They simply damage your clothes, blame you and charge you to fix what they caused. Doesn't sound like a good business model to me. I took my daughter's school uniform skirt here to have them let the hem down and within 2-3 months it all unraveled (she alternates different skirts so only wears it once a week at the most). When I took it back to have them redo it I was told they only guarantee their work for 14 days. So I asked what if this happens again and the lady responded, "I have nothing else to say." LOST MY LAUNDRY/GOT SOMEONE ELSE's!!! I am not the type of person to write a review but this cleaner has violated even the most basic trust one has with a cleaner - they have your clothes and you trust them to return them. If this were my college roomate,I would turf them out!! I work very hard and have so little time to do things like shop and replace clothes the clearner lost/misplaced. When i called they just said I would need to wait for the manager to return in three days and sorry, no one else has called to say they have someone else's laundry. I literally have someone else's pants in my possession and they didn't even ask for them back. No interest in resolving. I will not use these cleaners again and hope you'll avoid them too. In addition, they launder items that i ask to be dry cleaned and vise versa, with no apology or explanation. They don't starch when you ask for it.
