i often travel to and through San diego and i'm disorganized. Often I am minutes from my destination without clean clothes and laundromats are a roll of the dice no matter where you go. i usually don't review them. but i had to review this one as i sit through the wash. 1. someone is on site!!! i needed help buying detergent and he was there to help! also, you can buy a tiny box for a dollar or a small bottle for a little more. Nice 2. i'm using an old model but there's newer ones here and no "not working" signs scribbled on scratch paper and taped to the lid. Helpful staff, lots of well maintained machines, clean and reasonably priced. Great location, plenty of parking; would highly recommend.

I came in on a Sunday and it was very nice. The staff was super helpful and kind. Some washers have Apple Pay but some don't. But that's okay bc they have a change dispenser where you can put $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills in for quarters. They have a lot of laundry carts and places to fold your clothes. I needed to clean a Queen size down mattress topper and was turned away at 2 Dry Cleaners because it was too big. I first went to a laundromat pretty close to my house, but most of their machines were broken and there was a sign that there wasn't any hot water. I'd almost given up but decided to try the Highlander. It's a new owner and everything was fresh and clean and new. My big fluffy mattress thing just fit in the largest machine and I actually did turn it around and did a second wash because it was pretty stuffed in there. The new owner Roger came in with his cute dog Buster and helped me get this big , now very heavy thing into one of the large dryers. He even told me how long to dry it. I highly recommend this place. Maybe he should have changed the name because I think the bad reviews are coming from a time before he owned it. read more

This is a prime example of why we need to read reviews before using a service. This is the worst laundromat I've ever been in. One machine gobbled up two quarters and then didn't work. The other machines arertaking forever to dry. The icing on the cake is the washer ruined my beautiful black shirt. This management never cleans their machines. If they did, hi bleach from another customer never would have gotten onto my shirt. I've been using laundromats for years. This is the first time one ruined my clothes. We looked for a laundromat nearby and this one popped up. There were some bad reviews so we were skeptical at first but then notice the bad reviews were from over a year ago, and the good ones were from a month ago. So we came in for a few loads of laundry. The machines worked great, but had some trouble with some of the dryers. The new owner came out right away to help us out. He put some coins in to start a new load and even gave us a few bucks back. Came here at 8:10am they open at 8 keep in mind, I had a doctors appointment at 10am and I wanted to hit the gym and do my laundry before 10am, they still had all the lights off and no one was at the location to open the doors at opening. Still currently waiting in the parking lot, I guess I can't go to the gym today anymore cause this was the only time in my schedule to do my chores and hit the gym. I live half a block from here and I've been going here since 2011. Not new and shiny but it washes clothes. 3 Stars: Newish owners close way too early for me now. Nice folks but I can't do laundry after work anymore. I have to waste a weekend or I usually drive to the other one in town that's open later but not that close. Sunday night when sometimes I need to wash for the week if it's been a busy weekend it's done at 5:30. If you read this it would be awesome if you could increase your hours. :) Thanks! read more

Small, most of the washers don't work, washers are old and over priced ($2/$2.50) for single loader). Dryers are brand new and fairly priced (.25 for 8 min) but do NOT dry well. read more

I've came here 2 times now and both times I've washed anything it either comes out soaked and dripping wet. I don't over fill by any means it just isn't doing it's job. Or comes out dirtier than when I put it in. It's a bummer to spend 3.50 on a load for unclean clothes. read more
