Kinda funny. My last name is Wurst, and this is the cleaner I go to. They've really never let me down. My sample size isn't very large cause I don't get a suit dry cleaned each week or anything, but in the handful of times I've used Best Cleaners I can't recall an incident where they f@%#ed something up. Definitely can't say that about other shops I've been a customer of. They're always super friendly at the counter and I guess the price is pretty fair compared to the competition. I love this dry cleaner! The owner is so nice. He takes such good care of my clothes. Also, If he thinks he will damage something because he's not sure about the material or what the stain is he is 100% honest and will tell you not to have the item dry cleaned. My clothing always comes back clean and fresh and perfectly folded. My delicate items are treated with amazing care and are never damaged. We just moved here and I was really hoping this would be our dry cleaners as its so convenient. But customer BEWARE... as I picked up my husbands laundered shirt it was discolored and stained. Appeared to be detergent stains. The owner said "oh I thought that was the look of the shirt". Ok, no it's not the look and I asked if he could try to clean it again to see if the spots would come out. He was so busy defending the idea that it was made that way and telling me it's impossible that this is his fault. He uses gain and it wouldn't do that, He said. He Never even offered to re-clean it. Shocking!!! I'll NEVER return to a place that treats its customers this way. I hope you read this and learn that a better response might have been, I'm So sorry. Let me try to see if I can get that out. It was a brand new dress shirt, never worn. I Only had it cleaned because it was in a suitcase with other clothes. So I just wanted it freshened up. I'm going to start of by saying it takes a lot for me to give a negative review. most of my reviews are very positive. I'm also new to the area and go to the vons next door all the time so I was hoping they would be my go to. The quality here is ok but the customer service I've experienced is terrible. so bad that the quality and price that they provide doesn't even matter. well not the lady that does the alteration but the older guy that runs it. I know they are trying to save money by not having to hire someone and trying to do everything themselvesk but at least take a customer service class. one time I showed up with 10 shirts right as they were closing. I tried the door and it was locked. now ok I get it maybe you had a long day and wanted to go home right on time.. I didn't expect him to open the door but a simple I'm sorry we're closed expression would have been acceptable. instead he gives me a disgusted look like if I was bothering him by trying to bring him business I guess??? come on man!!! second experience was after I had shown his wife what kind of hemming I needed for my sports coats I brought them in the next visit and he told me they couldn't do it again turning away business. now I guess it's more like not what you said but how you said it again with him. If you only care about the quality of your dry cleaning and that's all that matter to you then this is the place. WOW!!! I am so impressed, I wish I could do more than just write a Yelp review! I have been coming here since I moved to the area in the summer. They have always done a wonderful job...this time they went above and beyond! I have a beautiful white dress that I bought while in Europe this summer. It's just from Zara, nothing insane, but fits SO well and has quickly become a favorite of mine. Well, unfortunately my favorite color to wear is white - and my favorite thing to drink is red wine. So...one night a few weeks ago I spilled red wine ALL over this dress. Seriously, the whole glass. I took it off immediately and didn't touch it. I brought it to Best Cleaners and said I knew it was a long shot, but I'd let them try it. (Worst case, I already had dreams of turning this into a tie dye dress). They told me they didn't have high hopes but would give it a shot. I picked it up today and it looks BRAND NEW! Seriously, not one spot or tinge of stain. This is a pretty great family owned cleaners. I went there on someone's recommendation to get my wedding dress pressed pre-ceremony and they did a great job. I've been going back ever since! I don't think they are the cheapest in the world but they are the stain-freaking-masters. I am a messy girl and they have successfully removed even the worst stains from my favorite garments. I can't recommend this place highly enough! It is located at an extremely convenient location just off the 5, and the couple that owns it is extremely warm and do a great job. They've taken off stains I never knew could be taken off, but they also are honest and realistic and will tell you if something will be difficult to fix. They also do great tailoring. Do NOT ever use these cleaners. They put 3 holes in my shirt, didn't clean another shirt, and ripped a button off. When I went back in nicely to explain the issues the owner a little lady started screaming and yelling at me calling me a liar. The gentleman at the front admitted to the holes when they cleaned it and said they should have told me. She said that it wasn't them and I couldn't prove it. The gentleman finally gave me less than half of what I paid for the shirt after thirty minutes and a scene by the Asian lady. The customer behind me got his two shirts, but they couldn't find his pants. If you want your clothes coming back intact don't use Best Cleaners. read more

This is honestly the BEST cleaners like its name says!!! I brought in a white Herve Leger dress with studs that was so stained with self tanner, makeup, and other marks from holiday parties. They made the dress look new again. And then I wore the dress again, only to get melted chocolate down the back and ink stains from blotting with party napkins. Once again, dress cleaned to perfection and I am SO happy! All of my family has switched to bring their clothing here and loving life :) They also do a great job with alterations and repairs. HELP!! My clothes are being held hostage. I dropped off my clothes on Tuesday and no one mentioned that they would be closed on Saturday (a normal business day). I leave town tomorrow for a trip and a wedding and my clothes including my dress for the wedding are at the cleaners. If I could give this place more stars, I would!! Absolutely the best cleaners experience I have ever had, and trust me, I was not an easy customer to please. First of all, I called Richard 3 times before even coming in and asked him a boat load of questions. He made the time to answer them all and never seemed rushed or frustrated with my inquisitive approach. I needed a rush job done on a medium sized order AND it needed to be done PERFECTLY! I got the clothes to Richard around 12:30PM and requested that they be complete by the next morning at 9AM. It was a tall order, but he made it happen, and did an excellent job taking care of everything. There were only a few creases that needed to be ironed out upon my review of my order, and he was great working with me to have my order in perfect condition. I have interacted with many dry cleaning businesses as part of my job and this place blows all of the others away. I could not recommend this place more! High quality, top notch and they really do aim to please. If you live in the area and care about the quality of your clothes, give these guys a try. You will not be disappointed. Friendly, family owned business, prompt and courteous but most importantly they do amazing work!! My clothes are soft, perfectly pressed, colors bright, they make all my clothes like new and there's no question that my clothes are lasting longer because of them. Best cleaners, try WORST cleaners! The worst experience i have ever had with dry cleaning. The owner told me twice I was lying to him! I brought in three garments. One was a silk dress, very expensive, which I spilled water on, water!!!! When I came to pick up the dress the water stain was still there. I asked for the owner to converse about their horrible cleaning job and he said that he tried to get it off. I said well its water it should come off easily, he said no its not water. I said, I know that telling you exactly what it is will aid in the cleaning process so I don't think I would lie to you about what I got on my dress. HE RETRIED AND DID NOT SUCCEED. THE STAIN WAS WATER AND I WOULDN'T LIE TO A DRY CLEANER ABOUT THAT!!!!! The other garment was a silk blouse that just need a simple stitch to secure a shoulder strap back on. I went to put the garment on and couldn't get my arm through because they mis-sticthed it. I returned the garment asking if they could please fix the mistake. Went to pick it up the 2nd time and he said that there was no way that his wife would have done that and that was not her work. AGAIN, ACCUSING ME OF LYING. Best Cleaners is located next to Vons off of Santa Fe in Encinitas. This is a great location being right next to the grocery store. The prices at Best Cleaners are a little higher than other dry cleaners I've been to ($9.75 for a jacket and $5.75 for pants is not cheap). I bought my wedding dress pre-worn and just a couple months before my wedding I realized that there were light brown stains on the lining and and on part of the lace. Not okay!! The stains were relatively light, so I didn't see them until I was looking at the dress in bright lighting. I took my dress to Best Cleaners and Richard got the stains out within minutes!! He said that the stains were actually from the previous dry cleaner (whoever had cleaned the dress before it was sold to me) rather than a food/beverage spill, and luckily he was able to get them out with steam only rather than chemicals!
