I would say they do an OK job at run of the mill cleaning, except they're super expensive. Even charged me the same price to press some linen pants as to clean and press them last month (not sure how that calculates). They lost me today as a customer because I brought in a dress with a few light stains which they proceeded to remove and replace with LARGE bleach spots. Still charged me $20 to clean, and my dress is ruined even when I brought it up to who I believe is the owner I still paid. He kept saying old stains are hard to get out, but my stains were new and very subtle. Now I have 2" bleach spots all over the dress. I probably could have gotten them out myself with A gentle cleaner. If you have any sort of stain, DO NOT try and have this cleaner remove them. read more

When a business has a relatively simple service, like dry cleaning, they can really only differentiate themselves when things go wrong. Legacy accidentally bleached one of my dress shirts, and they immediately took responsibility and offered to pay for it. "Just call the owner and he'll make it right." But that's where the positives ended. Over the next two months, I stopped in three times and called four times, leaving a message with my name and number for the owner each time. I never got a return call. Now I'm leaving a one star review and moving my business. Such a missed opportunity for an easy resolution. Return a damn phone call. read more

I had a shirt laundered and pressed with heavy starch for $3.75. It's a bit SF pricing, but they did a good job and they even had it early by a day. And they notified me by text that it was ready. Took them back and asked them to remove the stains. They charged me to clean them again, and when I got them back, one of the blouses was RIPPED and the stains were still there. Came in with one uniform. Was given receipt that said total cost would be $4.00. Came in to pay and was charged $11.10. I wasn't told they changed the price until I got the receipt. When I asked the lady said "Oh I made a mistake so I changed it. It's supposed to be $5.50 for each piece not $2." I asked why she didn't tell me she made the mistake before she charged me. I asked to speak with a manager. Manager said "Well everyone makes mistakes". I asked again why I wasn't told about the mistake before paying. She just shrugged. Professional. They tried to clean some shirts with collar stains. I told them that if the stains do not come out then stop and throw them away. Instead, they finished them and charged me for shirts I ultimately cannot wear. They deserve to be paid for the effort so I paid the charge. I'll try them again. In April of this year I brought my couch and chair slip covers to the Dry Cleaning Club (They charged me $225). A few days after I picked them up, I realized that the couch slip cover was missing. I immediately called and Monika the manager said they didn't have my lost slipcover. I asked her to have the owner (Jay) call me. Since then, I have called at least 17 times (usually once a week). Monika refused to let me speak to the owner although she said she would give him the message. She finally became very hostile to me and said, "she was in charge." She was incredibly rude and offered no help and verbally attacked me as if it was my fault. Why won't she let me speak to the owner Jay? I paid her $225 cash! Now I have a piece of my slipcover missing. I will never use this service again and would advise anyone thinking of using this service to think again and take their business elsewhere. read more

I came here about a month ago to get a stain removed from the back of a garment I just got from Nordstrom. I wanted a professional to remove it so I didn't ruin anything with some at home treatment. They took about 3 days, returned it to me. I brought it to work noticed that they got some stains but not all. returned that day they apologized and told me to come back in a week. I did so, they told me to wait another week. I thought this was odd, then another week. The manager was out. On sunday I finally had enough and demanded my shirt back, if they couldn't fix it I'd try somewhere else if that was the problem. When the employee looked for it, it was no where to be found in the out going ready to pick up area. He finally found it in the back, it had been buried somewhere. He shows me it and asks if its mine, I could barely recognize it, the color was off, it looks as though it had a scorch mark and it was stiff as a board. He apologized and I wasn't about to go off on some minimum wage employee for a problem that management clearly caused. They offered me less than half of the value of the shirt 80$ vs the 180$ I paid after taxes. The worst part to me wasn't that they botched the job and low balled me on an accomodation but that they actively avoided me and didn't try to get out in front of their mess up. They swept it under the rug and pretended like it didn't happen. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I don't dry clean much but when I do I usually seek out the environmental cleaners that use new technology that is earth-friendly in terms of their waste and emissions. However I did stumble on this place accidentally because it was convenient at the time and I don't think they use the new technology so that is why I chose only 4 stars. I used their services to clean a child's party dress where most of the fabric was tulle and also to replace a small zipper in a pair of jeans. They did a wonderful job with the dress and an exceptional job with the pants as they came back with a great zipper, you couldn't tell it was replaced and they even cleaned and pressed the pants for me. I did not ask them to do this. I left the clothes in there for three months but finally got around picking them up. They were still there although one was on the donation rack and about to be donated which I thought was very cool, The owners are exceptionally nice and friendly and if I lived closer I would go back again. But for now all I'm doing is recommending them. They have a great deal on shirts and basic items. read more

We took my husband's work uniform here weekly for over 4 months. Initially, he was happy with the job but in time the inconsistency forced us to find a new dry cleaning shop. He made it clear he needed the uniform with clean creases but frequently he would pick up and receive the uniform with double creases. He informed the woman at the front who stated: "some of the workers get lazy" and offered no remedy for situation. He continued to go and give it a few more chances but it remained inconsistent. The short version of the experience so far... (I've gone twice) Staff: Very nice and polite. Seem very helpful. Pricing: I was charged for two "silk" dresses that were actually cotton. Price jumped significantly. I was also charged for "pressing" a shirt (regular man's shirt) and it turned out they ironed the collar and the cuffs, the shirt was not wearable in that condition. I could have done a better job at home - and I rarely touch an iron. Location: Convenient if you are in Encinitas. There are so many stores near by and its just in the right spot. I have a satin blazer with feathers on the sleeves. It was handmade by a NY designer and I adore it. Wore it to the theater and a woman standing behind me, stood to clap with her food box under her arm. Paying no attention, she dropped, who knows what all over me. I took the jacket to multiple cleaners and most of them turned me away saying it was impossible. One place said they could do it for $125. Took it to this wonderful place yesterday. They talked thru the process with me, had the actual person who would do the job come and look it over. They made it clear what the risks were (feathers, I get it) but they had a solid plan. $24 dollars later and ready earlier than promised, I have my jacket back in like new condition. The shirts they did for my husband look great too. They have a customer for life now. They handled a difficult job with caring and professionalism. Why did she think it was ok to do so because "[You] bought a Groupon; it's still a good deal for you."? Why did she not give any better explanation than aforementioned justification? Why does lady lack any sign of professional integrity? Why was the cleaning job barely satisfactory at best (yes my friends, I noticed no substantial improvement in cleanliness afterwards)? Oh, because this is a questionable establishment with questionable principles. Verdict: Avoid. There are a number of superior cleaning places in beloved Encinitas which will actually honor their advertised prices (imagine that). P.S. Bait and Switch: Ok, I used these guys for almost three years because they had coupons in Pennysaver. Found that their regular price was the same with or without coupon. Cleaning was marginal, and shirts routinely came back missing buttons and with frayed collars. Yesterday the straw broke the camel's back and I won't be returning. They posted a coupon for $.99 shirts with a minimum order of 10, no expiration date. I brought 10 shirts in and she said "no, its expired" There isn't ANY date on it! She showed me a different coupon from a different publication to show me that the date could be referenced from a different coupon. I can't believe she'd rather lose a customer over this but I won't be back- At least Palomar sews buttons back on after their pressers break them off. read more

I was greeted by a very professional person with an extremely pleasant attitude; which I found very unusual for a dry cleaning place.. Usually, it's just "how many pieces: here's your ticket to pick up" But, the people at Dry Cleaners Club were so informative and polite, And...no smell!!! They do not use those terrible harsh chemicals!!!!! The prices are very fair, actually quite low as compared to other places in the area. Can get same day services too. My experience with these guys from last couple of years is awesome...first time when I used this place. I was amazed by the customer service and the job they did with my stuff. I really don't know why people complain about the prices...I guess this was the most inexpensive cleaner in all cleaners I had tried before. For me they are the best.
