I personally would find a much more customer friendly alarm company.

We were customers for thirteen years and there was no appreciation for our long term commitment to them. We cancelled our service because we sold our house and were moving and the difficulty of cancelling our service was amazing. Evidently the cancellation policy requires 30 days notice and they definitely hold you to that policy. The company representatives were hard to understand and they also had a hard time understanding what I was saying. I will never recommend Vivint to anyone I know who is looking for a security system nor will I consider signing up with them if I decide to hire a security company at my new home.

Jose wasn't licensed, bonded or insured. He was an illegal Mexican that didn't even have a checking account. He wanted us to Zelle him half deposit to buy the materials. Only catch was we had to wire the money to his sisters account. All this raised a RED FLAG with us especially when he wanted $750 to take care of the problem. We ended up calling a licensed plumber that only charged us $500 and was able to take care of the problem on the spot and only took him 20 minutes. What kind of shady company is Desert Alarm??!! Using unlicensed people is not cool at all! We have everything in writing and voice mail from Jose We are regretting ever calling Desert Alarm!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I recently purchased a home in a new development in Palm Desert. Once we closed and moved in we were contacted by Smart Tech's service tech JP. JP came to our house for the "white glove" move-in service, which consisted of explaining all of the options that Smart Tech offers to the homeowners in this community, and to our surprise, a free Ring front gate camera and keyless entry system from the garage into the house. JP was so professional, courteous and knowledgeable that we decided to go with Smart Tech to install/mount all of our TV's, install a web mesh system, and install all of our audio/video systems. This was a pretty big project that included mounting 6 TV's, 3 web mesh locations throughout the house and 2 Dolby surround systems, as well as a audio sound system on the back patio. JP and Steve, also from Smart Tech, took care of this entire project in one day. Their work was impeccable! TV's were mounted perfectly and they left the work areas spotless. Both JP and Steve were professional, courteous, very friendly and super helpful explaining all of the info involved with all of the installation. I read most of the reviews here on Smart Tech prior to hiring them and noticed that most of the reviews were for security systems.
