Let's start with the positives: the initial process of setting up the opening of the pool was easy and responsive. I work crazy hours in the hospital and they were very accommodating of my work schedule. They have been accommodating to send people/techs there when asked. Thank you for that, it's much appreciated! The items that could be worked on: 1) Follow up communication. It took two to three weeks for them to complete the pool opening, we had many visits with techs where they stayed for 5 minutes and promptly left. We were not given updates or told what happened. When I spoke to the friendly front desk staff person on the phone today I was finally told that what happened was the techs had to leave as they "ran out of time. Which is why there were frequent visits." 2) When I initially signed up for these services, I had asked if I could meet with the techs to learn about the proper ways to manage and care for the pool. I was told this was not a problem and they could set this up. Unfortunately, this never happened. 3) When the pool was finally opened, we still noticed a fair amount of debris and dirt. The clarity of water was also questionable. We called and were told this was the "best they could do and the pool was ready to use." They noted that the equipment sometimes brings debris into the pool. 4) The condition of the pool had since gotten worse and I had to have a family member call while I was at work yesterday to see if we could get an emergent service as the pool was becoming green. A tech was dispatched, when I got home I realized the pump was turned off. We had no idea why it was off or if we could use the pool. No one had called or left a voicemail. It wasn't until I called this morning and asked about what was going on that I was notified that could be an issue with the skimmer, filter, or pump. There were no issues with the skimmer, filter, or pump when the pool was initially open. If there were, no one had told us. 5) Lastly, through all of these services I was never given an itemized bill for services or contract to sign. While not a finalized quote they estimated that opening would be roughly $1800 which is significantly more than what I was quoted. I expect even more cost now for possible diagnostics and repairs. You can look through my previous reviews of all local businesses, I try hard to find the positives. I also gave a lot of trust to this group because of other reviews and relied on their expertise. Unfortunately my interactions after the initial chat has not gone well.

The service tech had to come out twice, but I'm not taking a star away for it bc he was honest and made it right without excuses or charging us extra. Only star i took away is over communication. I appreciate the quick replies when i reached out, but I would have been more appreciative if they were the ones reaching out to me. Just a little more proactive to keep customers updated. I'd recommend them & would call on them again (I'm hoping not to need their services again though!)

I had them drain and waited six months. I have called twice and left three different emails requesting a response...just want some maintenance. I haven't received any type of response either via email or call. That seems unusual for them, and I am concerned. Having said that, will need to call someone else. I hope all is ok.

The crewed showed up promptly on time daily and were very pleasant to work with. Through no fault of the landscape company there was a bad batch of sod from the supplier. I reached out to Dan the owner a few days later to let him know some of the sod was damaged. He showed up at my house within the hour to inspect what had happened. By the afternoon same day all damaged sod was removed and replaced. My lawn is beautiful now. I am very impressed with the quick response and resolution to an unexpected problem. Did the usual checked yelp and put together a list of 10 companies and asked facebook as well. Century Landscapes name came up so we added them to the list. Called 7/10 to come out and do bids, most were too busy but 3 managed to show up to walk our backyard and chat with some options. First company listened to what we wanted but had zero input more of an order taker versus a design, we opted to tell them to give us a bid and they never followed up despite emails and calls. 2nd company seemed nice but flat out told us work couldn't start till October (we were getting bids before memorial day), so they were out. Century was the 3rd company to come out and we had William listen to what we wanted for about 20 minutes and then add design ideas we didn't even think about. Told him our budget and timeline and he let us know what we could do with both. Final budget was on point not a dollar over the quote. The job itself was about our kids safety we had an old splintered deck, a pond that leaked, a grass border holding back some shale rock (very sharp not kid friendly stuff), and sorry looking grass. The team at century was able to do all the demo in one weekend, and start the prep work for 1500 sq/ft of pavers to replace everything aforementioned, and as an add on William and the design team constructed a great flag stone patio where the sorry looking grass was. Work went fast and when I had a concern all employees on site took the time to talk with me and fix the issue without any of the usual grumbling or difficulty some contract work entails. To summarize spend the time to talk with this company, and you wont be disappointed. Pricing they were right in line with the competition. Quality of work was outstanding. Communication was great (text/email/call they always responded). Thanks for getting our backyard a place we can enjoy with the kids again! P.S. Lady talking about apartments on there review page has to be mistaken I asked century if they do apartments and they don't.
