First let me say I have yet to find a salon here in Ankeny that didn't try to talk me into an up charge upon arrival- and not once during my time did our tech try to talk me into adding services I wasn't interested in! Thank you! Let's back up; I booked my Appointment online using their website. Pro tip; if you're need multiple services or booking for another person in your party you need to book all separate services. Their website is a little tricky to navigate (acknowledged by the staff, they are working on this) and this was the tip they gave me. Despite the scheduling hiccup they were able to get my daughter and I in for our appointments. Basic pedicures is what we asked for- they were polite and friendly and offered us beverages once we sat down. As mentioned I was not asked to add anything else to my services after telling them what we booked for. This was huge for me, I can't tell you how many salons I've been to in town that have done this- and it's really frustrating to tell them "no" and to keep having them ask. This salon was bright, spacious and clean! We both enjoyed our time, our techs were pretty fast we both were done in 30 min. I really enjoyed our experiences and will continue to come here. Staff was friendly, but gel pedicure lasted less than 8 hours. Went in to have one toe touched up and they were too busy and told me I could come back the next day. I ended up paying another salon to just redo all the polish. read more

My sister and I went Saturday March 28th for pedicures, they were the worst ever. We were seated, my water was cold and they both were done in 15 minutes. You can only imagine what we got with 15 minutes of service. Did not do anything to our cuticles and barely a massage. We will not be back nor would I reccommend this place to anyone. I went in with high hopes, and it was going good until I saw my pedicure at the end. As shown in the photos, there are lighter areas on my toe nail that clearly did not get the same amount of coverage from the nail polish as some of my other toe nails. I kindly asked the guy that did my nails to re-paint the toe nails that looked splotchy and he said it would be an extra fee and I would have to pay for shellac/gel to get that. Then, not even 30 minutes after I got them done, I got home and realized my middle toe on my left foot was starting to chip. I tried to salvage it and realized that the nail polish wasn't even done drying. They don't even look good from far away. I'm beyond pissed. Loved the first impression. Been there 3 times, each time giving it "one more chance". 1st time, gel polish on toes slid off literally and he could not understand anything I asked. 2nd time not terrible, just average. Third time was horrible, made no attempt to talk or contact me just watched other people and looked around. She kept looking at her timer as in "when will this be done". She ended my pedicure 10 minutes early. I know this not only because of her timer but also by the fact that the person next to me started the same time as me and was still getting work done after I'd paid and was walking out the door. The tech I had was lazy and did a "fill" on my nails when I wanted a full dip. He didn't soak my cuticles or trim them. Just removed the color from my nails, all are different shapes, put new color on, a minute arm massage and done. Manicure took 15 minutes max! Pedicure was better - I just had the classic but a different tech did that. He wasn't friendly but at least he didn't rush through it. read more

I had Shellac done on my fingers and toes. I had the Shellac come off 1 of my fingernails in less then 12 hours. I went and they redid it. The very next morning I had another one come off. The remainder of my fingernails came off that night. I have never experienced this before. read more

Salon itself, it's clean, employees are nice. However I asked for a classic set and they started doing acrylics and I made a comment saying I asked for classic and they proceeded anyway and charged me for a set I didn't asked for. The process itself was painful as he wasn't gentle and kept being harsh on my nails. They are not even and got burnt and cut. I had a horrible experience with the staff at Premiere Nail Bar. I'm enraged by the way I got treated and by the thought that others could be treated this same way. Here is my experience. I was born missing my left hand and never in my entire life have I ever been charged full price to get my nails done. Most times I don't even have to ask for a price adjustment. When the gentleman rang me up, I noticed I was charged the full price. When I asked about adjusting the price since I only have one hand ( half the work) the staff then switched languages to discuss my situation right in front of me. This alone is extremely disrespectful. After their discussion I was told, "we don't charge by the number of hands or feet. It's all one price." I was shocked and paralyzed by what I was just told and experiencing. I ended up just paying the price and leaving because I wanted out of there immediately. My husband later called to talk with the staff about my experience. No apology was given or any kind of reimbursement. Instead the gentleman said "we treat all our customers equally and the same. Everyone pays the same fee." I sure hope no one else is treated the way I was. This maybe fair to your business to charge the same exact fee but it's not fair or equal to me as your customer when I am paying the same price for less service. I can't change that I am missing a hand but you can change the price and how you treat people with differences. I was extremely disrespected and I will not be recommending this place. read more

I have been to PNB four times for a pedicure and each time was really great. I have both used their booking system and called to make an appt and each time I have been treated with courtesy. The people doing the pedicures have all been friendly and excellent aestheticians. I will most definitely be returning!! read more

I'm giving a three star because I've been there before and I actually enjoyed my time there, but when I called today to try to make an appointment the lady was very rude on the phone. I asked if I could get a Mani/Pedi and she just said, "no." Didn't give an explanation, didn't try and see if I could get in another time or another day, just told me no. And then when I asked If it was because they were booked, she rudely answered yes and hung up on me. She acted Like I was a nuisance for calling her to get an appointment. This place has great Mani/pedis, but you should probably think about getting someone else to answer your phone. Maybe someone with a little bit more personality and couth. read more

First off, the salon itself is very nice and clean, and there are lots of color options. I also appreciate the fact that bookings can be done online. However, over the 5 or 6 times I've had my nails done here, the quality is extremely variable. I kept going back as there were not any huge issues with the quality (and I haven't honestly found a place near me with better results) but just general issues that I feel could have been fixed with more care or attention, such as unevenness, bumpiness, etc. That being said, after my last visit, I won't be back. I came in for a regular dip manicure and had a tech that kept saying he would do the nails faster than anyone else could. He did do them quickly and you could sure tell. They were incredibly thick, uneven, and just overall, not well done. I was annoyed, but they were not ugly enough to warrant asking them to be redone. However, not even a week later, I have already lost two nails and will have to go elsewhere to get them fixed. The inconsistency and the high prices just don't work. read more
