They kept everything clean, covered all walkways with tarp. The duct work was also neater, Compared to my old one. They added a Ptrap for easy cleaning. The unit itself runs great, house feels more comfortable. Much Even temperature across the levels. The crew was very efficient. They did have a hiccup. But they came back and fixed the following day. They did not even take payment before I am happy. They were not the cheapest. But their quote was much better than most other companies in the area. I would definitely reuse this company and recommend to anyone.

The original installer did not do it right and did not register it properly. When I had 3 local companies come look and give an estimate for it he was the only one that took the time to verify I did still have warranty on it as well as price for new A/C. He took the time to answer all questions. After getting a detailed estimate for the fix and having them do the work they found leak and fixed it. They also fixed the other issue with it. The technicians Jeff and Jack were very professional and polite and worked on it day 1 and second day there were 3 technicians I do not know the third persons name but he was also professional. They were prompt and cleaned up after all the work. I will use them in the future for annual maintenance and would highly recommend them for work. Dawn

I want to tell you that every time I have needed them, they have responded. They "move with purpose". I never forgot that about them because heating and cooling is an essential amenity. The first time we called Pete's we had bought a house that had no furnace, central air or duct work. A huge project, expensive all by itself. We had a new baby and had to be ready to move from our apartment into the house within weeks. The level of coordination and care that Pete's has is unheard of! Even when there are other contractors involved such as electricians, they all work together with such professionalism, respect and synchronization that you literally cannot tell that they all do not work for the same company. This is no small thing if you have ever had any large projects done on your home that involved several subcontractors. It can be a nightmare, cause delays and eat up your money and sanity. The quality of work, peace of mind and overall satisfaction was worth what we paid. I believe that we received a good value on the work to begin with. The ease during the project was a bonus. This most recent time, we needed an independent heating and cooling system for the upper floor/attic space. The second levels to bungalows can be brutal in extreme heat and extreme cold. Of course, I only trusted Pete's to handle this for us. I knew that I was going to get the best deal on the unit, the labor, any sub work. I knew I would be given options on the unit to fit my needs and budget. I knew it was going to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I knew the guys would come in, go to work, respect my home, be polite to my kids, clean up after themselves and walk me through all the details on how to use the unit and maintenance it. Once you have tried Pete's you will know whom to call the next time.

After the energy assessment, I received the recommendations and was surprised that they simply wanted to swap out the existing 100-amp panel for another 100-amp panel. I expressed my concerns about the addition of electric HVAC components and the current capacity of our system. I even provided information from the Department of Energy and State of Michigan EGLE (see attached), which strongly recommends upgrading the capacity when the electrical panel is done in conjunction with a heat pump, furnace, and water heater upgrade. Despite my concerns and the information provided, Shuaib Yacoub (project manager), said that I wasn't worth his time. He even blocked me on Facebook to prevent a negative review.

After a horrible experience with a different company called Case Closed the day before, Maheu Mechanical arrived on a rainy Saturday and took care of business. They obviously knew what they were doing the moment they stepped into my door. Jeff Maheu even walked to a store to get a part that was needed for my set up! He literally went the extra mile, as they say. The gentlemen were professional, funny, and meticulous about both being safe (tail end of the COVID pandemic), and thorough to ensure I have hot water again after three weeks without. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maheu Mechanical: professional, reasonably-priced, and they left my laundry room cleaner than when they arrived. Not to mention the absolute most empathetic, considerate manager - Sheri Sorgani. She had calmed me down from my horrible experience with the other company, and got me an appointment the very next day. I don't leave many reviews, but I must highly recommend Maheu Mechanical for your plumbing (and other) needs. I know they will be the company I go to for any future projects. Thank you so much to Jeff, Charles and "the brother in law" (ha) for a job well-done. A++++++

It's not the same business and my experience with Mastercraft was not good, just from basic customer service perspective. I made an appointment to troubleshoot a non-working AC. They said they couldn't give me a time window until the day of. So I called at 8:30 and the office told me should be afternoon maybe around 1. So I skip lunch figuring I'll grab something on the way over when I get the call. No call, so I end up eating only crackers. 4:30pm rolls around and I call and she says I'm next. Next, it's 6pm and the office is closed and I'm wondering if they're still coming or the tech ran out of time. So I call the after-hours emergency service and the on-call tech did call me back and said the tech is still coming. The tech calls me at 7pm and so I rush to the house to meet him and he gets there at 7:30pm. He diagnoses the problem in 2 minutes (no pressure, 20 year old unit, need new). And oh by the way they probably can't install a new one for another month. They're obviously very successful yet they can't be bothered to invest in a system to keep the customer informed when they're coming. Lucky I didn't take the day off work since I work close enough to rush home but it's just a basic lack of customer respect. Anyway bottom line is that Suburban no longer exists, it's just a name (now Suburban Mechanical) that forwards to another business. On the bright side, I found a small very capable business that was able to come out and schedule me within a week. If you're also a former Suburban customer, check out CJB Mechanical for your HVAC needs.
