I usually have great service here, Ashli would cut my hair but she has moved on and my daughter has her hair cut by Kathy and she's great..but last week when we went in I was being served by a new hairdresser, Mimi. I explained to her that I just get a trim, very little cutting involved and that I do not like it short around my face. Well she cut it! cut it short and used clippers on the back! She was talking the whole time and didn't hear what I was saying and she said that she thought I wanted it stacked. when I first told her I didn't want it short to begin with. Mimi called the manager over to look and I could tell she was just in shock as I was but there was nothing to fix! I left in shock, cried like a baby and had to go to a different salon to try and "repair" it. The establishment is a good place I just think they need to check the people they hire and make they can handle scissors and listen to the customer. I want to post a picture of my hair before and after. I do not recommend Mimi for haircuts. read more

Our family used to go to another salon in town which I will not name. They did a mediocre job at best and fortunately a friend of mine told me about the Premier cuts family of salons. My kids loved their staff and their haircuts were adorable. We love premier cuts and will not go anywhere else. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my kids and my husband. I came in 6 minutes to close in dire need for a haircut! My normal hairstylist had surgery and won't be able to style for the next 3 weeks. I asked the receptionist if they were taking customers so close to closing (7) and she asked Kathy (who cut my hair) and she was so nice to let me in! My family of 5 decided to stop by and we were greeted nicely by a gentleman wearing a red company shirt and younger women with glasses along them was a younger girl who u assume was the receptionist because she started writing our names down. She didn't look to Happy to be there considering she didn't greet or smile the whole time. She had a attitude and was very concieded and played with her hair most of the time she looked happier doing this then any other time. Lets not forget that she was wearing a shirt that was less then half her size...Isnt she representing the company? Where is her t-shirt? Kathy was the lady who did my hair and had either her son or nephew there. I didnt know thus was a babysitting place on top of it. I have to say the gentleman and lady who did my daughters hair were the 2 most professional. I've been going to Premier Cuts for many years now. Just like any place, you have to find the right stylist for your kind of hair. I tend to find a good one and stay there till he/she leaves or something. I've found 2 good stylists here but that's not to say the others aren't good. Have always had a good experience. They have coupons in HEB receipts and Wednesdays are $10. My kids have been going here for several years. In fact, just today all 3 of us got haircuts at Premier. I recommend them. read more

I moved to Texas about a year ago. I went to about 3 salons and every time walked out in tears. I thought I would never get a good hair cut down here. In desperation I walked into Premier Cuts. Ugh. I have used this place several times...and ehh. Not impressed at all. so as I go up to get my haircut I had several books because I had no idea what to do with my hair. My hair gets super wavy when it's dry but I like to straighten my hair. So I needed something to work with both. First off, the lady who did my hair had no interest in the pictures in the book. .she acted like she.knew exactly what I wanted and didn't need to show her anymore. I also had a few other ideas but as soon as I mentioned it..she flat out told me it wasn't a good idea "but it's your hair". I wanted an undercut that was to my neck and the rest of the top hair just leave the length.. and then I wanted side /angle bangs.... N of course she says "I'll just take a Lil off under neath". THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. Then she goes.to cut my bangs and.i told her as she was wetting my hair.. I don't want my bangs to curl up and be short. I want them long..and of course..she cut them short. at this point. I lost it. I cried quietly and asked her to remove apron and let me go pay. I am crying my eyes out at this point and I go to pay receptionist and as the lady asks me whats wrong..here comes the lady who cut.my hair..getting all loud trying to tell me well that's what you asked for..and I showed her the picture I wanted and asked her if it looks anything like it. All she kept doing was trying to justify what she did to my hair! Walked in without an appointment and was told it would be about 30 minutes which I was ok with. 5-10 minutes later another person walked in and said he did not have an appointment, he was called back about 15 minutes later, was finished and gone for 20 minutes before I got called back. The wait did not bother me as much as taking someone ahead of me who showed after me without an appointment. I think this was total bulls**t, I did not leave a tip and I will not go back. read more

I have been going to premier cuts for 9 years now between the one in Kyle when I lived there and now this one in Round Rock and the one in round rock just lost my business. Called in at 11:04 to have my name put on the list and I showed up at 11:42 and they she tells me "your late" your wait time is now 45 minutes. I have sat there before for 30 minutes or longer and have been told their waiting on someone to show up that called in over 30 minutes and they take them anyway ahead of myself or other people waiting along with me. I walked in wanting a shag and got a bob instead. I was very polite and vocal about what I wanted and did not get what I wanted. It's as if she decided to throw out what I wanted, b/c she knew what was right for me. I got short layers on top only and a flip at the bottom. Not to mention the the part where my bangs are. I'm going to keep my hair up in a bun till this grows out. I'm going to stay with my old salon thats closed on Sundays and Mondays. didn't have a good experience. Took my family of 5 in for hair cuts. The first 4 were fine. THen my hair was cut by the manager who didn't listen to me and butchered my hair. I asked for a short bob and what I got was closer to a pixie cut. I hate it and it's going to take forever to grow out. I have never had short hair and I feel butch instead of feminine... I don't like it at all. The owner was supposed to send me a refund. But, it's been more that a month and I haven't received anything. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau... you can check it out... their current grade is a F since they failed to reply to the BBB about my complaint. read more

This is a great place for kids to get their hair cut! They have an airplane chair for little ones, and the best part is that this little chair is in the back with the ability to close the door! My toddler does not like getting a hair cut, and the stylist was so patient and said she is OK with him crying if I am OK with it. As a mom who really wants her child's hair cut, this was very reassuring and it was so nice to close the door and not be embarrassed. And since I was calm, my child eventually calmed down, too. He got a great haircut and so did my older son, for a cheaper price than other haircut places for kids. I plan to try them out for my own haircut next week! read more

I took my 2 yr old son and since he was crying they didn't wanted to cut his hair. I told the lady to just cut it like that, but she said she couldn't because they use sharp object, and that is understandable, then she says, word by word "he has to calm down and I din't think it's going to happen today." I will not come back to that place. The lady's whole effort to make my son calm down was to leave the room for a few minutes, she didn't even talked to him, or show him anything to get him distracted. When she called his name, she just said "just put him over there," didn't even bother to take us to the chair, which not big deal since I have been there before. But after the whole incident, I see it as a bad sign. If they claim they do kids hair cuts, the personal should be used to crying kids, and they should try to calm them down, or at least, ask the parent if they want to wait, come back or any ideas., don't just walk out of the room for 2 minutes and then come back and say mmhh, he has to calm down, and it's not happen today. read more

My mom was visiting me a few weeks ago, and she desperately needed a haircut. (She gets her hair cut for about $8-$10 in her hometown, and it shows!) I got the courage to tell her she really needed a new hairdo, and surprisingly she agreed. The only place I knew that took walk-ins was Premier Cuts, so we went. It was extremely busy that morning, and I didn't realize the colorist, Sylvia, made her own appointments. Luckily for us, someone had just canceled, so my mom got in right away. I'm so glad she did! Sylvia was amazing!! Not only was she very friendly and HILARIOUS, she did a great job on the cut and color of my mom's hair. She not only fixed the (boxed) color my mom usually does herself, but she gave her an amazing haircut that my mom still loves to this day. After searching for 3 years for someone that can cut my hair correctly, I finally found Tilly at Premier Cuts! She is amazing! I have been going to see her for over a year and she really knows my hair well. I have thick hair and a lot of it, so many stylists just cannot cut it correctly. She definitely has me as a repeat customer. This past weekend I asked her to cut it short and after giving me a slight eyebrow raise, she cut it and it is absolutely perfect and just what I wanted. I love that I can get a good wash, cut, and blow dry without breaking the bank. She also cuts my 3 year old daughter's hair and she has never had an issue in sitting for Tilly. Again, looks great every time. I also have to mention that the regular person cutting my hair 3 years ago worked at a different salon. One day I went into that salon and he was gone from there and I couldn't find him. Well after seeing Tilly the first time, I found out the guy from 3 years ago is the manager at Premier Cuts! So I can definitely vouch that with Tucker or Tilly you will get a great cut. The only issue I do have with Premier (but not enough to give less stars) is that the stylists do not do color also. read more

Bonus! He's polite, respectful, charming, funny and very professional! He actually LISTENS to you and what you want or are looking for! If what you have in mind won't work with your particular hair texture, face shape, etc., Tucker will tell you. He cares about his clients and it's more than obvious he enjoys making people feel beautiful! I have gotten more compliments on my hair since Tucker became my stylist than with any other stylist I've previously had. You know how good it makes us all feel when we receive a compliment about ourselves? Imagine receiving compliments almost every time you're out! Finding Tucker at Premier Cuts was a true example of finding a "hidden gem"! The prices are far more than reasonable (and far less than what Tucker's worth!). For those of you that feel the only way you can get a "good cut" is by going downtown, waiting, oftentimes, weeks for an appointment, paying an obscene amount of money for your services and being made to feel like they are doing YOU a "favor" then leaving with and "okay" cut, you may want to reconsider ... Last but not least, the receptionists are fantastic! You are genuinely greeted and promptly helped. While Premier Cuts is a "walk-in" salon, you're not made to ever wait an excessive amount of time.
