Just awful. I went in a month ago. Had an appointment woth their colorist. She ruined my hair. Patches of orange all over. She charged me less than what she originally said, but my hair was ruined. This place gets 2 stars because of how conveniently located it is to home and because of their great pricing. After that, it's all downhill... ~They are always understaffed, which means it takes for-e-ver to get through their wait list. (No appointments allowed) ~Each time I've come they are hiring a new receptionist and each is less enthusiastic about her job than the last... ~The quality of haircuts is, meh. I come (came that is, I'm not sitting through this wait again!) here because all my girls need are trims-but I've seen some hatch-jobs walk out of here on other occasions. And the stylists aren't the most professional bunch but this isn't Aveda either lol so it's no biggie. If you can avoid this place, you should try. Unless you have an hour to waste in just waiting alone, or you enjoy a lukewarm reception at the door ;) then this is the place for you! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I walked in and they told me it was going to be a 30 minute wait and so I was waiting and 30 minutes went by and she told me it was going to be another 20 minutes or more. I had a movie to go too so I left. A customer told me when I was leaving I should ask for 5 dollars off my next visit so I did that and they said they don't do that. Arrived an hour early to get a haircut today. Receptionist let me know they were busy but was going to let me sign in. A red headed lady came up and said there were rules (of course I didn't know about them - the sign just says you all close at 9) that said I couldn't get a haircut because of how busy they were. I asked to speak to a manager and she said none were available. I get it. There is a holiday rush. The real issue is the harsh tone she took with me. After searching for a good haircut in Round Rock in a sea of chains with soggy towels and neck massagers from Sky Mall, I stumbled into Premier Cuts. Tucker, the manager, cut my hair into exactly the style I wanted and made it work with my face shape. Now, I always ask for him when I go back, and the quality never changes. Yes you may have to wait if there's a crowd. That's how it works at most service places, restaurants, retail stores, other hair cutting places. But since you can get a cut worth $50-75 dollars for less than $20(with a tip) it is worth it. I've been a customer for 6-7 months and the receptionist now recognizes me and know who I am there for. Everyone else has been kind in their interactions. Can't say enough good things. read more

Great place for a haircut! On Wednesdays, they have $10 specials- what a deal! The receptionist Kayla, was SUPER friendly, and the stylists do a great job every time I go in. I used to get my haircuts at Great Clips, until my regular stylist moved, but I think I found my new place. There are coupons next door at the HEB Plus on the back side of the register tapes so you don't have to wait until Wednesday for your $10 deal. read more

My first experience was great. However, my last experience was less than satisfactory. Long waits with only one other person waiting and the staff didnt seem to care about new people. Went here with my boyfriend to get haircuts for the both of us on a Saturday afternoon. We got in quickly even though it was "prime-time" for that sort of thing. April cut and styled my hair. She listened to what I wanted and delivered PERFECTION. Not only that, we both got our haircuts for so much cheaper than any other place we were thinking about going. April was great and I will DEFINITELY be going back next time I need a trim!! Had to add to my review because I just was just recently blessed by Sylvia! She does hair color @ Premier Cuts and is AMAZING!! I have never dyed, streaked, highlighted, frosted or done anything like it to my hair EVER. I have "virgin" hair. Not only that, it's fine, but there's a lot of it. Being slightly nervous about it, I told her that I wanted something noticeably subtle. I wanted people to look and think "Hmm..what did you do to your hair?" not "OMG, WTF did you do to your hair?!?!?" (Yes, I really told her that.) She reccomended a mocha line of highlights which intertwined dark reds and a touch of copper with my already dark dark brown hair BEAUTIFULLY! She suggested only a partial first to see if I like it and if I did, I could always get a full highlight. One week later, I was back in her chair getting the full highlights. I love it!! Not only that, she told me to come in anytime for a conditioning masque if it seemed my hair was drying out a little from all the WONDERFUL hard water we have around here. She is absolutely wonderful and the drive from Waco is well worth it!! If you want gorgeous highlights or hair color for a GREAT price (40 bucks for highlights?? OMG!!), go see Sylvia. I tried to get a hair cut at premier cuts where walk-ins are supposed to be welcome Well I was wrong, I walked in and was not greeted or anything and was told not asked to come back another day. The attitude that the girl gave me ensured that I would not come back. first impressions are everything and when I left I had a bad taste in my mouth. If the girl would have asked me politely to make a appointment for another day instead of being rude I definitely would have, but now they do not have to worry about my business, or recommending their salon to anyone. I got a great haircut by the stylist who is directly behind the front counter wall. Sorry, I wish I remembered her name. I'm growing my hair out, and it's THICK, so she layered it and trimmed the ends, which made all the difference. I really like how each stylist has a semi-private "booth". I walked in and asked the wait time, was told 10 minutes. There were other customers waiting as well and with only three stylist on, one all of a sudden decided to go to lunch and the other left to make a trip to the bank, leaving one person cutting everyones hair. I waited 20 minutes with no sign of either woman coming back and the first hairstylist still working on the same person and decided to leave. Extremely unprofessional for the hair stylists to leave during a fairly busy time to leave just one person to cut hair. Disappointed. I called ahead to put my adult High functioning autistic daughter on the list for wash and cut. She has very think hair and needed it thinned out and about an inch taken off. She has to put her hair up under a hat for work but her hair is too thick. She even took the hat with her to explain to the stylist. She called me 10 mins. after dropping her off and said she was done. No wash was done (just sprayed with a water bottle) and it didn't look thinner, just about a 1/2 inch trim. I asked my daughter if she told them what she needed and showed them the hat and she said they didn't give her a chance, just sprayed her hair and trimmed. 10 minutes tops. Took advantage. Rip off. Now I have to take her somewhere else. 2 haircuts for someone who earns less than $100 a week. They should be ashamed. read more

I am a firm believer in stylists being allowed to be good a some cuts and bad at others. I went in to one guy for a bob and he totally botched it... It was pretty uneven and the "texturizing" that he did was not blended at all. He may be great at other cuts but not that one! So i went back for a fix the next day (for free) and got Deena! She fixed it perfectly and spent about 5 minutes blending and even-ing it out! It looks fantastic and I am super excited! So Deena does great bob haircuts! That's what I know... read more

New to the Round Rock area and trying to find a place open on a Sunday, I took a shot on a coupon I had for a free haircut. After setting low expectations from the Yelp reviews listed here, I was really impressed by the whole experience! Your name goes on a waiting list when you arrive, but I barely had time to sit down before I was called up. My stylist Meagan was friendly and helpful, even though I wasn't exactly sure about the cut I wanted. She did a nice, long head/scalp massage while shampooing - worth my coupon right there! She asked me before she did her blow dry, and then again before styling to make sure I was okay with each step as it happened. She wanted to make sure the cut was right when my hair was dry too, since it acts so much differently. My cut turned out awesome and is exactly what I was hoping for. Had a hard time finding a new place to get cuts after moving here a bit over a year ago. Tucker at Round Rock is the best. From my 12 year old son, 18 year old daughter, and on up (not telling you my age :), we have never been disappointed with a cut or style. Usually tell him to do what he thinks will work best and he's spot on! We must pick the best times because this location has never been overly busy when we go. Usually walk right in and are sat. The location is very convenient and easy to find. Sometimes feel the front desk staff are a bit standoffish and not really interested but not to the point of rude. They offer specials during the week, coupons on the back of your HEB receipts from next door, coupons online, and email coupons when you sign up. I do always request Tucker for my family. We tried a couple of the girls and were not quite satisfied with the results. Another gentleman here did an awesome cut on my son once but he hasn't been there at other times we have gone. It's a gamble. If you get someone that knows what they are doing, it'll be decent. It's very convenient from where I live so I have given it a few chances especially after a bad haircut. My latest cut here was bad. I don't think I'll be back. A lot of staff changes so you really gamble if your going to get something good or not. read more
