This is my 9-month review after purchasing my car, so this is a real, long-term experience; not a same-day review. I found this dealership through a Google search while looking for a new vehicle. The pricing looked fair, so I decided to make the drive. One thing people should know upfront: the online pricing for Teslas already includes the EV rebate, which isn't always clearly explained elsewhere. When I arrived, their inventory was pretty solid, especially if you're looking for a Tesla; they seem to get a lot of them. With Teslas, you can verify battery health and Carfax before purchasing, which gave me peace of mind. I was greeted when I walked in and asked what brought me in. At first, things felt a bit unorganized, or maybe they were just understaffed that day, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. They still allowed me to test drive two vehicles I was interested in. The sales manager, Roy, was a straight shooter. If he felt a deal could be done, he worked it. If not, he was honest about it; no games. I will say this: you get the same energy you give. You can't walk into someone's business demanding things, cursing, or yelling and expect professionalism in return. While I didn't personally experience any unprofessional behavior, there was a situation while I was there, and in my opinion, the dealership was not in the wrong. So I can't really relate to the "rude" or "unprofessional" reviews. The dealership itself was clean, had a waiting area, and offered light refreshments. Approval didn't take long at all; the finance team was able to get me approved given my situation with only a small deposit. Fast forward to now: I LOVE my car. I've had zero issues. I purchased a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Performance for less money, lower mileage, and a clean Carfax, compared to another dealership that wanted nearly $40,000 for a damaged 2022 model. The vehicle was well taken care of and came from Florida. Would I shop here again? Yes. Just make sure you do your research on the vehicle beforehand; as you should anywhere. I strongly advise anyone thinking about buying a car from Premier Automotive to be extremely careful. I purchased a vehicle on May 1st, and within less than a week the car stopped charging completely. Before purchasing, I was told the vehicle had a Tesla warranty, but after taking the car to Tesla, I was informed the vehicle was not under warranty and was actually marked as salvage. This information was never clearly disclosed to me during the sale. I feel completely misled by the dealership and the sales process. Update! So even though I was on the hook for the registration for my Tesla, Premier Automotive tried to right their wrong. Ethan is now the head guy and the employee who went out of his way to help. I drove an hour to pick up a free Tesla charger but when I arrived there was no charger. Ethan could see I was frustrated so he said he would find one. I waited over 45 mins for the charger and atlas Ethan came to my car with a used charger because driving back was absolutely not an option for me. I was upset as I had missed business meetings but the charger worked even though it was used and dingy. I wouldn't return as a customer because of the whole integrity aspect of buying my car BUT, I will update my review to show good faith as a consumer. Thank you Ethan! Here's my experience with them: - The rep who ran the credit check lied that he sent the application to only 1 bank, I got hit a few days later with hard inquiry notifications from all credit bureau from 3 different banks. - Minutes after I drove out, the car I just bought came up with a faulty "cabin heat unavailable". The second day, the low voltage battery was out as well. I called them immediately to let them know, they said I should send email to sales team. Later they completely put my calls on endless hold and literally ignored me. I already paid for the car, but was just looking for helpful information to fix the error. I had to drive the car with not heat in freezing cold weather to their office to get someone's attention. One of the reps later gave me his direct contact but - I emailed the sales team and followed up twice but didn't receive a single response. They will deceive you all the way to just make the sale. The car had just arrived on the lot and I worked with Ethan, who helped make the entire process smooth and straightforward. Even though he was juggling multiple customers at once, he kept checking in with me regularly and made sure I felt taken care of. Don in financing was equally great. Friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. We ended up having a good chat while going through the numbers, which made that part of the process much more relaxed. Found a car online that looked perfect for me. They are open from 11 - 5 on Sundays. Scheduled an official appt for 4:30pm. Drove 2 hrs and got there a few minutes late... but texted that we are on our way. Sales person was shocked to hear I had a 4:30 appt... but was nice enough and willing to help me. I asked to see the car I was interested in... decided after 10 minutes that i'd take it. He asked me if I wanted financing or was paying cash... I said likely a split, but I wouldn't know till I had a bottom line price. He then told me he couldn't give me a bottom line price till I told him how I was paying for it. Next thing I know, the manager or owner comes out, tells me no deal... we can't buy the car... that we came just as they are ready to close and he doesn't appreciate it. Buyer Beware: This is a bait and switch dealership. The advertised price on their website/Truecar has little to do with the price they try to give you once you arrive at the dealership. On their website in the "Seller notes and disclosures" they state that they have a $1499 dealer processing fee. We specifically asked if these two items (the advertised price + the dealer processing fee) were the "out the door price". They reassured us that besides T,T, and L that these were all the costs. So I flew from Texas out to Virginia buy a car. When I tried to verify the asking price with the sales person at the dealership he added a couple more thousand dollars to the car's price! I told him we were told that all "gotcha' fees" were included in the $1499. He still refused to honor the price we had previously verified over the phone. I knew exactly the car I wanted when I arrived and asked for a test drive as I had been shopping for weeks and narrowed it down to 3 cars. First off Ethan was amazing and I loved the buying experience with him. I came in prequalified, but he was able to work a better deal for me. His buddy JJ was also super helpful. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a large purchase experience as much as I did with these two. However, I knew upfront the tires would need to be replaced soon, but wasn't aware there was no spare tire in my trunk OR the tools to jack up my car or remove the lugs. And of course I don't see this until I'm stuck on the side of the highway with a flat and no way to fix it myself. I kinda feel like a dealership should be proactive and make sure that things pertaining to driver safety in particular should have been resolved or at least disclosed. Luckily insurance saved the day. As with any large purchases definitely do a thorough inspection of the car you're buying, and any of the extra warranty crap they want to add on to your bill, and make sure you know how to use those warranties. read more

BUYERS BEWARE CROOKS in a SNAKE DEN TLDR poor quality cars (hence the low prices), bad salesman and sleazy sales method & extremely high markup. Writing this full review in March 2025. They use a cheap price and poor quality photos to bait you and then use all types of tatics to get you to fly there to see the car. Over the phone, sight unseen. "Mo" was my sales person. He knew absolutely nothing about what he was selling. I wanted a MX p100d. I ask multiple times to confirm the specs I wanted, he tells me what I wanted to hear (almost everything he said was false) to get me to book a flight out . Found car on cargurus priced at 19.5k both kbb & bank value at 26k (so it looks like a good deal only to be a bait) 100k miles exterior photo visually clean. He claimed this car is in transit from Cali (lie, they hid the car in the back of garage as a part out car) requested them to send purchase order to my bank. They made up reasons to not send it. Requested otd price, finance guy is too busy. Mo said over the phone "a couple thousand more for tax & tabs" (another lie) asked him what size rims are on there bc I wanted 20" he confirmed yes (another lie) asked him if there's anything wrong with the car any damages? He said nothing is wrong all clean (another lie) since they refused to send purchase order, he said they offer financing in house better rate than the bank (another lie) says I can refinance after 6 months (another lie) a second car with all the same specs and color (except 110k miles) was posted a few days before I arrived. Told me one of the two cars is ready, there was miscommunication on which one was ready but in any case one was ready for sale (another lie). Made sure the car is highway ready for interstate travel back across the country, he confirmed it passes state inspection (dodgy answer, not highway ready). Let's start with the good. I bought a car, it works as advertised and 2 months after purchase I haven't had any issues. Ethan was good to work with and seemed very helpful. He was the first person I met at 9:30am when they opened and the person who saw me away when I did finally make the purchase 10 hours later. The car I came for was not ready for sale per Ethan, so I looked at a couple of others which were ready but were also a fair bit more expensive. When I voiced that I was really only there for the vehicle advertised, he put in some work to get it ready for purchase that day. It just took a really long while. I wasn't even able to test drive it until after 5:30pm. Now for the rest. The vehicle intended to purchase upon arrival had a sticker price of $14,999.00. I understood that probably meant the $4k federal rebate was included in the price although I didn't see that expressly advertised. This price was largely what brought me to drive out to the dealership from DC. My initial sales person Stanley did not show me an itemized bill of sale and instead showed me monthly payments. When I did the math the monthly rates seemed high. Even after denying Gap and warranty. I asked about it and he became very defensive. He stated 'How much did you think you would be paying?'. I was a bit taken aback by the complete lack of decorum. When working with Ethan later on to make the purchase I noticed they'd added a $3k charge for LoJack. This was explained as a way to make the car seem less expensive than it actually was or something. This is also why the payments were above expected. I asked Ethan to have them remove the charge because I wasn't worried about theft on a Tesla... He stated that they wouldn't be able to proceed with the sale w/o adding that charge. I was able to at least get 2 detail visits included in lieu of LoJack subscription. Still it was very sketchy to have that slipped on there with no prior discussion. The car was still a somewhat reasonable price after adding the charge although nowhere near the 'excellent' deal I drove out for. So I made the purchase somewhat begrudgingly. As I was leaving I tried to first transfer my insurance over to the new vehicle but was roadblocked by the lender information, since I'd gone with their lender. Ethan ensured me that I would receive the information needed to complete that process via mail in a few days. I did not receive a bill of sale or any other paperwork. I drove home. They left me with 25% charge to make the drive back to DC which left me with 11% upon arrival. Just something to note as there was ample time to charge the car up over the course of the day. Two weeks later I was rear ended in a hit and run, having not received the necessary paperwork to complete the insurance transfer. I called the dealership to get the ball started on the hit & run but they required the bill of sale to get a valuation for the vehicle. I'd still not received that from the dealership so I called repeatedly, probably over 100 calls to have 2 picked up. Once they hung up on me while on hold and the other time I was assured that I would get the documents via email and nothing came. I had Ethan's cell, so I texted him as well. He assured me that I would get the documents I needed asap and that he'd get on the finance dept to ensure it would get emailed to me. A couple days went by and I tried texting and calling again but didn't get a response. So, the next time I could, I went to the dealership to pick them up. Ethan was incredibly apologetic and in fairness, he did get me these documents and threw in some floor mats for the inconvenience. A over a month after purchasing the vehicle I got a call, a text and an email from Wazir in their titling department. These came in mere seconds apart. Even though they didn't have the decency to respond to my request for a bill of sale in a timely manner. He requested my updated insurance to get the ball rolling on registration and licensing. I got this document to him in just a few minutes and requested a follow up email to ensure receipt. No such courtesy was extended. I called and Wazir confirmed receipt. While on the call I requested updated temporary tags since the tags provided at purchase were currently expired. He had somethings to say about Virginia taking a long time with temporary tags or thereabouts and essentially said he couldn't get me updated tags. A several weeks later I'm still trying to receive a follow up email from Wazir for a new set of temp tags or a status update on permanent tags without success. He just hasn't bothered to respond to my emails. Why is there a $1500 processing fee? So here we are. Buyer beware. You'll get a car. It will cost more than advertised online. They will almost completely ghost you after purchasing unless you show up at their doorstep and force them to take action. I'm hoping this poor review will incentivize them to respond. read more

We were illegally told by Rory Renzi, a registered offender in Virginia, that we were required to buy a warranty contract for $4,350 in order to finalize our financing. I would stay away from this seller as their salespeople are not following ethical and legal sales practices. They also over charged us $2,000 above the listed price on their website, and added a $1,500 appearance protection charge. We were not made aware of this until several days later when we were emailed the TILA documents. We have attempted to reach out via phone, text, and social media outlets, but have been ignored or insulted. Premier Automotive has been reported to the OAG, MVDB, BBB, and we have contacted lawyers to get our $3,500 back. We are still waiting for our $4,350 warranty charge to be refunded to the loan through Ally. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We drove three hours from Virginia Beach area to this dealership because they advertised over 100+ Tesla vehicles on their website. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of frustrating and a complete waste of time. The first major issue was with the EV tax credit. The dealership's website advertised a "$4K EV tax credit available on the vehicle "we were interested in. However, when we arrived, they told us the price already included the tax credit. What does tax credit available mean? This is blatant bait-and-switch advertising.
