This place has a new location at 117 North Standard, in Santa Anna. I was at the Marketplace shopping center in Tustin, and my Mercedes repeatedly stalled. When I called AAA, Omar in his truck was on site with less than half an hour. There's a lot of traffic in the parking lot. But Omar was a consummate professional and handled the situation quickly and efficiently. He Is also a very friendly, easy to locate and give directions. You don't need a tow truck very often, but when you do, it's a sincere pleasure to meet someone like Omar. My car was towed to Skeeters Auto Repair near Dyer and 55 freeway in only a few minutes and I was on my way with a loaner car immediately. Horrible customer service and just plain old empathy from Leanna the manager and Gloria at Preferred Towing. My friend was driving my Jeep yesterday and my vehicle was impounded for expired tags. I had paid the registration in April 2020 and the smog certificate was sent electronically to DMV in 6/19/20. With the severe DMV staff restrictions during Covid I didn't worry about getting my tags since a sheriff pullover would show the paper trail from last year To date I haven't received the 2022 renewal from DMV for the Jeep. I'm going to DMV in person with my paperwork to pick up my tags tomorrow but will certainly expect a refund of $310 in incorrect citation and impounding of my vehicle Hope to also receive an apology from the owner of Preferred Towing for his staff's rudeness when I asked to get a 24-pass to take the vehicle to DMV and return my Jeep to my friend who's vehicle bit the dust. Leanna refused to even allow me to rescue my friend's cell phone. Just yesterday I paid Preferred Towing $164 for a new battery for the Jeep to ensure it was reliable for my friend. I got stranded in San Clemente. The driver shows up and tells me that she can't tow my truck because of a rack on the back of my vehicle. I told her AAA had towed my truck before with no problem, so all she does takes a picture of my truck and leave. I got on the phone with AAA, and they tried to get me another company to tow my truck and preferred towing keep on taking the call and not helping out. Instead, I get a call from a rude person with attitude from preferred towing asking me if I brought down my rack so they can tow me home. I explained to him this is not my house or property to leave anything behind, so he proceeded to tell me, sorry, can't help you find a 3rd party to tow you, and hung up on me. Because of this, I drove my truck home and caused a lot of damage to my truck with 3k worth of damages. read more

100% recommend these guys!! Dakota saved the day and was able to get my lowered z3m onto the flat bed safely and got to my destination quick and unloaded safely! I had an absolutely awful experience with a preferred towing driver. I've literally never had a bad experience with a tow company before this. Damage was done to my car and when I tried to confront him about it, he got defensive, denied everything, then got offensive, even threatening to call the police on me. All the lights came alive on the dashboard and my car did the equivalent of flip me the bird. It was time to call AAA and get towed to my mechanic. Originally quoted 45 minutes, the Tow Truck from Preferred Towing got to my apartment within 20 minutes. The driver, Armando, was helpful, friendly and fast. He put my mechanic's address into GPS, but offered to take whichever route I best recommended. Armando even offered to help me get in and out of the truck when it came up that I was recovering from surgery (I was really slow to get in and out). He drove us safely to my mechanic and avoided "bumpy" areas on the road. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Preferred. If all their drivers are half as considerate as Armando, everyone would have a great experience with them! read more

We were just in a very bad three way accident and The cops called triple A for us and during the towing of my car this towing company drop us off on the the middle of no where!! The cops called triple A for us and his supervisor check my triple a was past due which I didn't know so I called triple A during the towing to have my road side coverage paid for and while he was towing he just got off and drop us the middle of no where while Triple A was doing my recoverable for roadside, 5 year membership!! Triple will still cover for my tow and was really upset that the tow company would do this. The tow driver was Mathew and the other guy on the phone was Anthony. Please if you care about the well being of yourself, your loves and family and safety don't not support this towing company. Its just inhumane. I was bruise and bleeding my car with air bag deploy and this towing company didn't care. Triple a sent out a new tow company and I will make sure this issue is brought to corporate so this towing company will not be employed by triple A. read more

My car stopped and wouldn't turn on due to dead battery. I was in the middle of the road bl ojing the road. Called roadside service, the popo stayed behind me with the hazards on... The dude Frank came by in 25 minutes. He escorted me into the truck while he was towing the truck.( for safety reasons.) He towed everything out in less than 4 minutes. The driver was the coolest, big hearted dude I've met in my life. I felt comfortable riding in the truck. Felt like a big bro giving me a ride to school when I was a kid. ( I never had a big bro. Lol) 5 stars. Fast service, cool dude, gave some legit advise, did not have to call the shop and ask where my driver was. Very hard working. I would recommend! He was able to diagnose my problem in not being able to shift out of drive into park, checked 3 different areas where the problem could be, fixed the problem with recommendations for follow-up. On Wednesday a man by the name of John picked me and my boyfriend up off the side of the fwy, we couldn't have stopped in a worst spot, we had no room to walk out of the car without almost getting hit by on coming traffic. I'm going to make this short. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm going to share my story on every news Chanel and social media to show the negligence or how dishonest this company is. We put our lives in there hands and they have the Audacity to lie about a horrible accident that was caused by John the tow truck driver. It's been 3 days and the owner and manager of preferred towing LLC has not return my phone calls. John the tow truck driver had my boyfriends Chevy truck 3 feet off the ground on the bed lift when he asked Cesar to put the truck on neutral, I had just walked out of the truck and was walking away from it when all of a sudden I hear a horrible loud noise and the next thing I feel is Cesar's truck slamming into me. It all happen so fast. I kept hearing Cesar screaming over and over again "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! Then I feel Cesar's body slamming into me and then felt I was being picked up and thrown over the center divides onto the grass side of the fwy. By that time the truck had come to a hard stop my boyfriend was still on the side of the fwy he wouldn't stop asking me if I was okay and John the TTD was standing like and idiot just looking at us in disbelief. When we calmed down my boyfriend explain to me he saw his truck dragging me onto the on coming traffic and if he didn't pick me up with one arm and thrown me over to the other side I would have been pinned between the truck and the center divider and maybe have been killed. When we got in the tow truck John got on the phone. It tools us a good 40 mins to get back to my house never once did he ask if we were okay he can clearly see I was in horrible pain and still didn't have the common courtesy to ask if we needed anything. When we got home I ask my boyfriend to tell him not to leave because I wanted to make a report of the accident. John response was, "go ahead" and waved goodbye. Now this scum bag John and the owner refuse to take my calls and still haven't replied to any of my phone calls or emails. This shows the lack of character lack of integrity and even worst lack of professionalism they don't have. Please do not use them. I won't rest until they get what they deserve I'm going to make sure the district attorney office shuts them down and Cesar and I get taken care off. I ended up being stranded for 9 hours and having to get my own tow. Terrible communication from Preferred. I spoke with a gentleman named Aaron, who seemed to be helpful and understood procedure within the company in visiting the tow yard to retrieve your vehicle after it's been impounded; however with I spoke to Donna (the Devil) she informed me that the procedure Aaron referred to in the previous phone call was false. Also, the nightmare that is Donna, is a very insensitive, unintelligent and has no grasp of customer service, how to do her job and is just a very unhappy person in general... She is quick to answer your phone call, however she will tell you she is putting you on hold and does not wait for your confirmation that this is going to happen. Donna will also, leave you on hold if your issue isn't as big of a concern for her at that moment in time. Overall, if I could give this place NEGATIVE STARS... That would be my review; 5 out of 5 NEGATIVE STARS. read more

The driver Sergio was quick to respond to jump start my dead battery in front of Ralph's grocery store in Irvine. I know that I needed a new battery but thought I would go to the Toyota dealer in Tustin to buy it. Sergio did not pressure me to buy a battery from him so off I went to the dealer to get a new one. Big mistake! Tustin Toyota offered to warranty the battery at 50% since I bought it from them less than three years prior. They wanted to charge me $50 to install it so I told them to forget it and just sell me the battery and I would install it myself at home. They said they couldn't do that without charging me a $47 handling fee. I left the dealer and drove home and called Sergio on his cell phone to see if he would come to my house and install a new battery. He responded in 10 minutes and put new battery in my car. Thanks AAA and Sergio. Needless to say Tustin Toyota lost a good customer over an installation charge. We have purchased two Camrys and a Tundra from them in past years. Guess I will try Honda next.
