Nightmare experience that still has no resolution. Their flatbed driver came out to pick up my husbands truck in San Clemente, the cable snapped as they were loading it, and it rolled down the hill at about 25 miles per hour, jumping the curb, hitting a stone wall, and then rolling back down onto the street. They said they would take care of everything, but 2 + weeks later, we still have not been able to get the vehicle inspected to determine what the damage is. They towed the truck to one of their friends shops, slapped a tire on it and claimed they did their job. As a AAA vendor, we thought they would help resolve this issue, but they have done nothing but give us the run around. I would never recommend either organization to anyone. read more

Today my six year old battery finally decided that this was going to be his last day, so I called AAA and they dispatched George from Preferred Towing. George called me within minutes of my call to AAA and confirmed he was on his way. He was on the scene within minutes, diagnosed the problem, had a replacement battery with him and had the replacement installed with 10 minutes. No muss, no fuss. Used preferred towing several times through AAA. Drivers are very polite, friendly and they always arrive on time or even before AAA estimate. I am writing 5 star review because I am impressed with their honesty and responsibility. There was one time my car damaged during towing, and I was anticipating long fight. I called them, and sent the pictures which showed very obvious damage. Preferred towing promptly acknowledged their fault and handled repair cost next day. Trust is most important factor for me when choosing service provider. Preferred towing is beyond exceptional. read more

I needed a jumpstart today in Irvine and Tony from Preferred Towing came by (as a contractor through my AAA membership). He checked my battery, alternator and starter and gave me very thorough information and was extremely professional. He was NOT pushy about selling me a battery and explained to me the different types of batteries, how long they last, the rating system, and the readings from the tests he ran. Tony even talked on the phone with my trusted mechanic Adrian from Irvine Auto Care and helped me make a good decision. I decided to get a new battery with a six-year warranty through AAA. Terrible service from one of the guys at the counter. Guy with the big nose (didn't catch his name) was incredibly rude and aggressive. He was a smart ass and was even shouting at one point. Preferred Towing, is this the type of people you have working at your counter? I wish I could give this business no stars. There's a ton of other towing places...this is one to stay far away from. Didn't find a customer service number to make a complaint but hope the owner/management see this review and look into how poorly this employee treated a customer. read more

I had an experience with one of the tow truck drivers. I did not use their service however I was verbally assaulted by one of them. He was clearly in violation of Santa Ana parking laws. He was park in front my garage from whatever reason. after waiting for 10 mins he finally came out and when I jokingly said "this is why we call two trucks" referring to the fact that we was blocking my garage which is a safety hazard, he went on to verbally assault me saying things like "shut the f*** up" "Mother F*****" "I will make you shut the F*** up". This is not the kind of behaivor any civil human being should have less alone someone who is representing a company that basis their business on customer service. I think that I would reconsider this company of ever in need of help with towing. read more

My battery died in Laguna Woods yesterday; AAA sent out Aliso Creek Towing; Javier got my car started with a jump and then I drove home to San Clemente. I called AAA to tell them I needed a new battery (didn't get one in Laguna Woods as I didn't have the paperwork from my previous AAA battery purchase). The customer service was excellent! The tow company said they would arrive within the hour, when they didn't show, they gave me a courtesy call and explain why they were running behind, and gave me a realistic timeframe of when they would show. Not just the "we're coming, we're coming" but they explained exactly how far out their drivers were and were very tentative to my needs. They also worked quickly with the insurance company to expedite the process. I highly recommend this company for towing services. read more

Preferred Towing was sent to me through AAA i believe i met a worker named Jeff he was very patient waiting while i was finalizing some paperwork. I soon after road with him to the drop off point very nice and easy going from there he actually pushed the car giving me the spreed to park it in my drive way when it didn't make it the first time he kept at it until it went over the curb i can only say I understand hard work and he helped me out a lot gotta thank these guys. read more

Unfortunately, I got a blown out tire today, and needed AAA to come in and save the day. They were able to get in contact with Preferred Towing within a few minutes. The quoted time was supposed to be 20 minutes, but my man Alex showed up like a hero with 10 minutes to spare. After swapping out my blown out tire with my spare, he also inflated my flat spare. If I had swapped the blown out tire myself, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere being that it was a dead flat spare. The entire experience was like a summer breeze that was absolutely painless. I was up and running within 35 minutes from the time my tire got blown out to the point where I was driving again. As far as first time experiences go, I know exactly who to call the next time a towing company is involved. Shout outs to the homie Alex, keep up the quality service mate! read more

Preferred Towing recently towed my son's demolished car after he was in a car accident. We needed it towed from a tow storage yard in San Juan Capistrano to our home in San Clemente because I didn't want to pay the storage fees. The preferred towing driver did such an amazing job navigating our driveway and depositing it in our driveway. He really knew how to handle his truck and was able to maneuver it into position with precision and accuracy. And my son's car had a smashed in front end and the front wheels wouldn't turn. Really took care of me when my truck broke down while towing my travel trailer. When another company put other tows ahead of me for money, Preferred showed up right away with two trucks and towed both my truck to the dealer for repair and found a place for me to stay in my trailer for the night.
