Preferred Choice rocked! They were quick to deal with the damage and worked well with my insurance company. They coordinated work with the pack-out company, then undertook the rebuild, which was fairly extensive (family room, kitchen and office). The only downside was that the first project manager didn't keep me updated on the work (despite my texts requesting info). But the next manager was very good in communicating with me. It took three months, but they got all the work completed a day before all my family arrived for the holidays. Hopefully I won't have to go through this again, but if I do, I would go with them without hesitation. read more

A special shout out to Juan and Danny who are with Preferred Choice Restoration. They were professional and thorough in the explanation of the process we could prepare for and left no trace of dirt, dust or debris behind making this unfortunate situation less stressful. Most of the relief came from their knowledgeable Techs Juan and Danny. Thank you all very much. And thank you Cameron for you Courteous and prompt removal of your equipment today. Barely even noticed you here but definitely noticed the removal of the noise! Merry Christmas read more

Chris and Jason did some tear out, mold mitigation work in our garage. They did a great job - clean tear down that lined up nicely to replace drywall. Good work and good people! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Preferred Choice. They made an extremely stressful situation run seamlessly. From demolition to reconstruction, the contractors were professional, knowledgeable and timely. The reconstruction contractor was top notch. Working hard to get my project finished on a very short timeline to make sure I could get to a family emergency out of state. I cannot thank or express my gratitude enough, for this company and their contractors. I highly recommend this company for any project you have, large or small! read more

Never would I have thought that I needed this service. When my girlfriend and I were in the process of closing on our house (during this crazy time) we found out that there was some mold behind the kitchen sink cabinet. This scared us, but didn't stop us from being excited about our fixer upper. Sarah and her team at Preferred Choice were not only accommodating, they went above and beyond to make sure this was taken care of for us. The guys on her team always notified me when they were on their way. Sarah called me personally to update me on the plan of attack. I couldn't have asked for this process to go more smoothly. If you are looking for restoration services in the Phoenix area, DEFINITELY give them a call. Thank you again! read more

Preferred Choice Restoration - They even installed a temporary sink for us! - Damage Restoration Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Great company to work with! Had a major leak in upstairs bathroom and kitchen. Worked with Sara one of the owners directly. She had her guys come over that day and immediately did the demo, hauling out damaged material, and begin drying. Very professional and experts in what they do! Highly recommend! read more

If I could leave a lower rating, I would. Unethical, unprofessional and unresponsive. Sara and the whole team are not worth the empty arrangements. If you're in a bad spot, need a mediation company and have to pay an exorbitant amount, go with a company that won't lie to you. read more

We had preferred Choice come to our house about three months ago to fix a leak from an upstairs toilet. First they send out these two young guys who looked like dears in the head lights cut the ceiling drywall away looked around and decided they didn't know where the leak was coming from so they put fans and plastic in the area and were going to leave it at that. A few days later the insurance guy comes in looks around asks what is upstairs above the leaking ceiling goes up takes measurements and definitively says the leak is coming from the toilet upstairs. Meanwhile the 1st two guys from DC restoration that came never even looked in that bathroom! So they come back and demo the bathroom Meanwhile while doing that caused more water to come leaking through another spot of the downstairs ceiling and eventually another spot had to be cut out. Meanwhile nobody ever returned calls and I spoke directly multiple times with apparently one of the owners Sarah who was completely useless!!!! She would say she would do this or that and never followed through or returned calls. Each time I would speak to her she would pretend we were speaking for the 1st time. Then at one i was speaking to Sarah and the other owner and both were very unprofessional and quite frankly in over their heads. Then at the end they wouldn't do the repair and cost us months of down time while we are trying to sell the home. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!! Terrible professionalism Terrible customer service and unqualified workers. Please stay clear of this business if you want a job done right or for that matter even done period!!! Sarah is a very weak and incapable owner!!! read more

Restoration looks great, only reason I gave 2 stars is because I got a bill for more money over a month after it was complete. I thought I had a comprehensive bill that I paid in full for. Turns out there was more I didn't get a bill for. Response time to this was concerning and I'm pretty disappointed. read more

Awesome company from start of mitigation process to the finish of the rebuild! Very professional from all aspects!

They did an outstanding job with our master bath remodeling. Everyone involved was very professional and respectful!

My roommate used this company to fix water damage from a busted water heater pipe. They quoted her an amount that she paid and services were rendered. One month later the company requested another amount that was not clarified at time of service. If you do decide to use this company which I highly suggest you don't and even somewhere else make sure all costs of services are on the bill and get that in writing. read more

JD and his team are great. They always go above and beyond to take care of their customers. Highly recommend!

One of the BEST companies we've ever hired! Complete professionals from day one! John set the stage with a plan to identify damage from water leak. He explained everything, thoroughly. All Restoration employees arrived on time each day for 10 days. Work completed and the entire restoration site cleaned each night before they left! Perfect experience in every way! We hired Preferred Choice to fix a shower leak which they absolutely did an amazing job with. Then Jeff and his reconstruction crew took over afterwards to finish the job. Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting it to take so long, but I guess that's the timeline, 4-6 weeks to complete the job. I would have given them 5 stars as Jeff stayed in constant communication which I liked. Nothing worse than being in the dark with the whole process not knowing where they're at and what's going on. So kudos to Jeff for taking the time to update me with the projects progress. The first guy who painted the closet (the leak partially damaged the closet) got paint on a few of my husbands clothing which thankfully came off after Jeff offered to get them dry cleaned and fronted the cost. The following day, he sent another guy to redo the job and AJ did an amazing job, both with the closet and the bathroom. It really took the edge off of what had previously transpired. He was very meticulous, too, and gave attention to detail. Jeff even came by afterwards to make sure that everything was perfectly completed. He even replaced the shower bars got paint on them too! He went and bought two new ones :) At the end of this project, I'd say they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the end result which we are. Thanks Jeff, AJ and Preferred Choice for a very beautiful shower. Happy that we chose y'all! read more

I recently had a major plumbing issue at my home. I contacted Preferred Choice Restoration and they were an ideal partner to assist me throughout the process. The leak occurred over the weekend and they had their team onsite same day. Everyone was very professional and helped locate the source of the leak, repair it, and restore the room. They do not use high pressure tactics and made what was a pretty terrible situation feel fairly simple. read more

We used Preferred Choice for clean-up and repair of damage caused by a leaking hot water heater. Damage was isolated to the hot water heater closet and laundry room. They perform exactly how they informed us. The only delays were caused by our insurance company which was of no fault of the folks at Preferred Choice. They actually went above and beyond expectation in order to get hot water flowing ASAP and the job moving along. The various teams that preformed the work were professional, courteous and talented. All damaged walls and cabinets were repaired to exactly the same condition as before the damage. Based on the work performed I would recommend them for any damage repair work as well as for any remodeling activity that anyone would want, large or small jobs. We will certainly use them again if and when the need arises. read more

This company contacted me after my water heater leaked. They were contacted by the plumber who came out for the water heater. I should have done some research but since they were recommended by a reputable plumbing company I went with them. I was also overwhelmed after coming home to this leak and damage. When they came to assess they told me where it had leaked in the garage the baseboards were buckling and they needed to remove them. He came in the house and checked the closet. The walls were also wet. He said he would have to remove the baseboards in both places. I had no idea that they would just tear up my baseboards and leave gaping holes in the closet walls. To me this was unacceptable. I at least expected that they would take care in removing them and not just rip them from the walls. I don't even believe the indoor ones needed to be removed because there was no buckling. They were not wet on the outside. It maybe made it easier for them but it was totally unnecessary to destroy this part of my home. I have not had experience with a restoration company before this. I plan on doing some research to find out if other restoration companies work in this manner. I will be more prepared if I ever need this kind of service again. They said they have a division in their company that does the repairs. They charge their own fees separate from the ones who did the damage. Very convenient. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

We drove from L.A. to Arizona to clean out my mom's house prior to selling it. Upon arrival, we found a small amount of water by the furnace in the garage. Unfortunately, the leak had caused the flooring in the dining room to lift up. We were referred to Preferred Choice Restoration. The owner, Sarah, attended to the matter immediately, sending technicians to the house within two hours. Steve & Jim did a great job of removing part of the wall, removing the flooring and setting fans up to dry out the water damage. They mitigated all damage that needed attention. There was a hole cut in the dining room wall that we didn't want our cats getting in to, so Steve and Jim covered two large entry ways with plastic. They even installed a zipper for entry into the room when needed. Jason Goodnight did a great job directing everyone and communicating with insurance company. I would not hesitate to recommended them read more

This company repeatedly gave me bogus timelines and no call/no shows. I have broken cabinet doors. Unlevel counter tops. A missing side splash. Their cabinet guy broke 2 doors and then proceeded to harass me because preferred choice would not pay him. One of the mangers then proceeded to try to blackmail me for more work while holding my personal property hostage. They are rude and condescending. The depth of unprofessionalism with this company is absolutely astounding. read more

On December 1, 2020, I hired Preferred Choice Restoration to repair and rebuild my shower. They were very quick to demand payment, which they received, but then abandoned the project by either not answering my calls or responding with excuses about why they couldn't continue the job. Their subcontractor also had an excuse each time he cancelled an appointment to finish the shower. Because of their apparent lack of interest in this job, the shower remains unusable after three months. read more

I honestly was in a really dire situation and could not figure which next step to take. I got into contact with Preferred Choice and I am glad that I did. Everything just all of a sudden felt organized and controlled compared to feeling like out of control. My first point of contact was Steve, who in my opinion, saved me :). He was direct, professional, informative and paid close attention to the questions I had. Then they got right to work in which I got the pleasure of meeting the demo crew, Juan and Danny, great guys and so friendly. And just recently Dan came to pick up the equipment that they were using and of course another great interaction. I didn't think I was going to smile during this process, but they kept me going. I want to give a big thank you to all of them and to Kody aka Plumberboy, who was so helpful and you guessed it, friendly. Cheers! read more

I am a happy customer. I had a slab leak. The new line was run and had holes in the wall and fans drying out the wood floor. These guys got on it right away. Everything was done perfectly. I must commend Angel for the work he did. Worked non stop fixing dry wall, painting, hot water heater and bathroom vanity. He left everything spotless. He even hosed down my driveway to wash away any dust from the drywall! Thank you Angel for your hard work and your dedication to excellence. So glad I called this company. Thanks for your help Mark. This was my first experience with a supply leak in a wall that caused water damage to the extent that I needed to file a homeowner's insurance claim. Our plumber recommended Preferred Choice Restoration and I am so thankful they did! They have made the process so easy and smooth from the water mitigation to the repair. They knew the process so well and were very helpful and nice. Every single person I talked to over the course of 3 weeks was so kind. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has water damage and needs repairs or just wants to remodel. They made the whole process so much less stressful. Preferred Choice Restoration came to our business and removed a popcorn ceiling in a large Billiards Hall. They worked from 8:30 AM until after 7:00 PM. They were professional, explained everything they were going to do, and although this was the messiest job I had ever seen, they did an amazing job cleaning up. The popcorn ceiling was completely removed, and the ceiling looked amazing when they were done. These guys were the best, and I highly recommend Preferred Choice Restoration for any restoration job they do, and I will be using them again in the future without hesitation, and when I do, I hope they send Pete and his team, they were the best! read more

Huge thanks to Preferred Choice Restoration today. Dan Brimhall was so helpful and explained the entire process of how they'll handle the dryout and re-construction of our master bath (upstairs) and living room from a leak. He was able to get a schedule started for the entire process. He took his time helping me to understand the timelines. His expertise and caring truly shows. I was in panic mode and he truly helped me through the upset. The crew showed up on time this morning and went straight to work. Diligent, courteous, kind, knowledgeable. From the time I made the call, to today for demo. Things have been handled incredibly professionally. Giant shout out to Pete, Daniel and Junior! I know a couple other gentlemen assisted as well on the tail end and they were just as amazing, but you guys absolutely made this stressful day a bit easier on me. Thank you. read more

Unresponsive, failure to provide mold inspection report I requested multiple times in writing and by phone- after paying them $375 10/2/2020. This company was recommended by the company that installed our water heater, after that heater failed within the warranty period and soaked part of the garage. They quickly came out to perform the demolition, then left everything to dry out, which left a significant portion of our house exposed to the Phoenix summer. After a few days they declared everything dried enough to begin renovation. Our insurance contacted us to let us know the restoration company had not provided them with photographs or an estimate. This led to nearly a week of trying to get someone out to document the damage. After these photos were taken, it took another three days before they submitted everything to the insurance. Finally, insurance approved the work. It took another week before someone came out to actually do the repairs. All this time the house was exposed to the outside air, leaving the affected rooms closed off and inaccessible for three weeks, while the air conditioning struggled to keep up despite shoving towels under the doors. I ended up taking time off of work to do the job myself, but was contacted two days beforehand that someone was being sent out. After the repair specialist left, I determined they had not textured part of one wall, failed to patch one area, and neglected to paint several areas. I was also charged for several work items that were not done and not needed. I ended up having to finish this job myself to complete the repair. Ultimately the work was completed, despite the over charges, and things are roughly back to normal, so I cannot give them one star. However, I would encourage you to find another restoration company for your needs. read more

BEARE OF THUS COMPANY THERE SCAM ARTIST. We was remanded to Preffered Choice by a plumbing co. We had a sewer back up in our guest bathroom.Noah came out took a look asked me who our insurance company was we even called the insurance company to place a claim. I asked Noah lseveral times since insurance company was closed on a Saturday shouldn't we wait until we're 100 % sure everything will be covered. He told me & my husband no it didn't matter what the water damage was from insurance will pay. He even had the script down made the statement with Covid insurance company usually dont send out adjuster especially with really good pictures showing the damage. Again I asked Noah I think we should wait until we're 100 % sure about insurance.noah stated we couldn't wait since it was sewer water the longer we wait the more damage & it could make us sick. Well so enough adjuster did come out insurance denied the claim now they have us on hook for almost $3600. We trusted a Arated company to know what there talking about & wouldn't give mis information. Now there taking me court & sued us. I think I should call Let Joe know from channel 3 and see if I can get them to back off read more
