Customer beware: I recently had my check engine light come on in my 2022 VW Tiguan. AutoZone ran a scan and told me it was related to the EVAP system. I then took my vehicle to Precision Tune Auto Care for a diagnosis, but instead of addressing the EVAP issue, they told me I needed new spark plugs. I agreed to the work, but before I even left their shop, the check engine light came back on. When I returned immediately, they scanned the car again and admitted the code was still for the EVAP system, not spark plugs. The manager "giggled" the gas cap, cleared the code, and sent me on my way. The next morning, the check engine light was back on. I then went to a different shop (Riddle), where they were honest and transparent. They confirmed that the issue was in fact the EVAP system, and even informed me that VW may cover the repair at no cost. When I went back to Precision Tune, they handed me the spark plugs they supposedly replaced, but could not provide any proof from their scanner that my car ever showed a spark plug-related code. This experience left me feeling that this business is not trustworthy. They charged me for unnecessary repairs and failed to fix the actual problem. I have been taking multiple cars for oil changes for years. I have filled up a number of punch cards for 5th oil change free. All was good until I asked for a quote for a repair service. My wife's Xterra is 20 years old, runs fine but had an issue with leaking coolant. When I found the leak I drove by my regular mechanic who I have use for 10+ years and he ball parked a quote of $300 - $350. The leak was in the hose going to the heater and required changing the intake and outtake hoses. My mechanic was off for the end of the year so while I was getting oil changed at Precision I showed them the leak and asked for a quote. The leak was a "mist" at best but the smell of the coolant is strong and brought attention. I left the vehicle so the work could be done. When she called me for the quote she had a number of items needing attention but I asked for the cost to replace the hoses I inquired about. She gave me a quote of $800-$880 stating her tech was familiar with this and one of the hoses took extensive labor time due to other things needing to be removed and replaced to change the hose. Obviously the quote was too much of a difference so I told her I would pick it up and take to my mechanic when he is back. I took an UBER to pick up the vehicle and a man was working the counter and checked me out for the oil change. He also stated the tech made a comment that the vehicle was leaking coolant "profusely" and recommended not driving it at all. I scoffed and told him I showed them the leak it was a slight mist, I drove it up there no problem so this doesn't make sense. I drove about half a mile before smoke was pouring from under the hood. Fortunately I only live a couple miles away. Opening the hood I found both the intake and outtake hoses removed and the connectors broken. I left a voicemail with Prec Tune Corp office the next day. I got a call back from the local office but not their corporate. The local manager said she was sorry I was disappointed with the service but the reason the hoses were leaking was due to their age and rot but not due to anything they did. This did not make sense it wasnt leaking like this when I left it. She said they ran a pressure test and perhaps after that the hoses came off while I was driving it home. This also makes no sense as the hoses were not disconnected and broken when I left it. Also a pressure test is not needed for a quote. Towed the vehicle to my mechanic and have shown pictures to several other mechanics. They pointed out the clamps for the hoses were taken off which would have to be done manually as a pressure test would not cause the clamps to slide off as auto hose clamps are "clamped on". Also the bill for both hoses being replaced was $275 and included 1 hr labor which is what this job calls for. The mechanic completed this in a little less than an hour. Every mechanic I have shown agrees it appears they sabotaged the vehicle. That is a horrible accusation so I can only hope they started the work before I authorized it and not able to reconnect the old hoses. The local person offered a free oil change but stated she stood behind the techs stating they did nothing wrong. For me the cover up is worse than the crime and this was more than obvious they removed the hoses and I drove it home with no coolant circulating. So again the quick facts.... 1. When I left the vehicle on of the hoses had a small leak causing a "mist" leak. 2. They are saying the pressure test caused the additional damage 3. Pressure test was not required for a quote. 4. Their quote was almost triple the cost of replacing the hoses. 5. The clamps were removed by hand and connectors were broken. In no way am I looking for some frivolous lawsuit or a bunch of free stuff. I am not perfect and am aware honest mistakes happen. To flat out lie is worse than the mistake in my book but that's me. I sent a follow up email to Precision Tune Corp cust service and it appears they have declined to comment. read more

They Charged me for a Clock Spring Electrical Repair and were not able to fix the issue. I came back in four separate day and took time off work in attempts for them to repair this issue again and again and again. Finally, after multiple attempts they refused to refund my money and are now avoiding me. I have called corporate several times and they never call you back. This place is not safe for any repair outside of Oil changes. I would stay away. read more

Brian and his co-workers are not only great mechanics, but they are also great men. My husband got stranded on the side of the road traveling from Miami, FL to Murphy, NC. We randomly found Precision Tune Auto Care online, and had the car towed there. Brian and his crew diagnosed and attempted to fix the problem only to discover the problem was the new transmission done by another auto repair place. Brian was so accommodating, and helpful in assisting my husband, documenting the problem, and allowing us to store the truck until we could figure out the best way to get it back to the initial transmission shop that did the work. I went in for an oil change. I waited for over 45 minutes before entering the bay (and their wi-fi was misconfigured/unusable), then another 5 minutes or so before the tech started taking my information. Then they saw I had a mail coupon and told me that they aren't a "participating location" for Precision Tune corporate coupons and would be charging $25 or so more than the coupon indicated. I decided I didn't need an oil change that badly and left. So I don't have any reason to believe that they'll mishandle your vehicle or anything, but they are not a fast oil change service like Express, Take 5, or American Lube Fast, and be aware that this location does not accept the coupons that periodically arrive in the mail. read more

Afaithfull customer for 7 yrs never again took my NEW FORD RANGER in for first oil change. 1hour and half they could not find filter I finally looked on you tube for them. they didn't have the right size screwdriver to take off wheel well cover so they Tore loose left it that way. told me I was good to go. I took a look. Three of the so called mechanics could NOT FIX, called area manager he came told me he would order parts from ford when he has a chance and call me. YOU can buy at any auto parts store for around $ 10. Charged me $53.00 This is how you treat a customer with 3 cars. Son with 2 cars. You can look me up in your compute. This place is fantastic. I was no joke, pretty much stranded in the Macon, GA area for 2 days straight and had to have my car towed to a mechanic due to a faulty alternator. This happened at the end of March when the weather was still a bit chilly. And the fact that this all took place on Saturday-Sunday didn't help. Suffice to say I was stuck. Thank God for Precision Tune. When I had my car towed to the property, the manager came by and was beyond understanding about it. I mentioned to him that I was kind of forced to sleep out of my car on site that night, and he didn't have an issue with me staying there. The guys working there were so sweet and understanding I was just thankful that they were open minded about my situation. To top it all off they discounted my bill since I was set to keep traveling for 3 more days and needed most of my money for gas. These guys are angels, and I have so much gratitude and respect for what they did for me. 10/10 would get stranded again. read more

Precision Tune location at 712 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia, at approximately 8:00 AM. The service repair of the 2013 Nissan Altima was a tune-up. After waiting with the vehicle for about an hour, Brian the district manager, came to explain to that the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced. We authorized him to make the repair. Around 3:00 PM, that same day, we called to inquire about the car after not hearing from a representative of Precision Tune. When we called, they told is we could come now and by the time she arrived her car would be ready. When we arrived the car was in the bay smoking profusely. We asked if the car should be smoking, and Brian stated it will stop smoking when the oil burns off. At this time, Brian stated that the valve cover needed to be replaced as well, but he would not be able to get the part until Monday at the earliest. He stated there were grommets in the oil gasket cover that made it more difficult . We inquired to find out why they did not call to update us with this information beforehand, and Brian stated his mechanics can't know everything about the vehicle. He stated to go ahead and pay for the service she received on this day, so we paid as requested. The total was $543.04, which include a 4-cylinder Tune Up, Spark Plugs, and Valve Cover gasket. We asked Brian if he was certain that it was okay to drive the vehicle with it needing the additional repair, that he suggested which was a valve cover replacement.We emphasized to Brian that it did not make sense to leave with the car and pay additional labor or damage the vehicle. Brian stated the car would be fine and he would warranty all the parts and would not charge her additional labor when she brings the car back to get the valve cover replaced. We inquired again to confirm that it was okay to operate the vehicle and that it would not cause any damage. Brian stated, "Yes, I would not tell you anything wrong." The car was still noticeably smoking as she drove down the street. I went home and parked the car. On Sunday morning, April 9, Easter morning I drove the car to church. After leaving church, I stopped at the Dollar Tree on Elberta Road, in Warner Robins, Georgia to make a purchase; However, when I came back to start the vehicle, it would not start. The car would not crank and could not be jumped started. I called my insurance company, to tow the car back over the Precision Tune on Russell Parkway.On Monday morning, April 10, I went to Precision Tune to inform Brian of what happened. He stated that he would inspect the car to see what could have happened. Brian stated oil was everywhere. I reminded Brian of the conversation that was previously aforementioned in which Brian stated the car would be fine to drive. Later that evening, Brian informed me that they could not figure out the problem with the vehicle. After still seeking out the issue, Brian later had no answer after a few days. Brian then informed me that he would get the car over to the Precision Tune on Watson Boulevard, in Warner Robins to see if they could help discover the issue. After being at the Watson store and resulting in no conclusion, Brian said he was calling a mechanic from out of town. By this time, it had been almost a week with no answer or solution. When I inquired again about her vehicle, Brian stated the car needed a starter. I told him to go ahead and put the starter on the vehicle. After he put the starter on, the car still did not work. Brian then stated it was something electrical. After another week at the shop he stated the car jumped time, and he did not understand why it jumped time. We asked Brian to explicate what that means, and he stated the motor was blown. After conversing with Brian, we stated to him that when the car was brought to the shop it was not smoking and the car was operable and did not have any damage to it. After my son made a call to the manager at the Watson location, he asked if we could lend Brian some grace because Brian had been having a hard time at the Russell Parkway location as many of his technicians do not have experience, they are currently being trained, and some have even walked off the job or quit on site. Brian stated that he would order a motor and have the car repaired. I called Brian a few days later to inquire about the motor, Brian stated it was ordered and should be in within 3 days. The next update from Brian was that he thinks the car needed from Brian was that he thinks the car needed a fuel pump. On Friday, April 28, I stopped at Precision Tune to inquire about her vehicle. I told Brian the regional manager they have had her car for almost a month and there was still no solution and that it has gone from needing a starter to a motor, to something electrical to a fuel pump. When I stopped by to pick my car up parts were everywhere and it was inoperable. I took it to another shop in which I had to get anew starter and battery. Now it works. They misdiagnosed the car. read more

These are the nicest people I have met at an auto shop. We came up to stay with friends because we evacuated south Florida. They basically told us their honest opinion that I could wait to get my A.C. compressor replaced so I had enough money to get me through the potential damage I may experience when I go back home after the storm. They were willing to lose the $$ to help me out and were not going to take advantage of my situation by lying and saying it needed to be fixed. What honest, kind, friendly people. We've been using precision for 4 years and haven't had an issue until this week. I dropped off my car after it broke down this weekend and on Saturday was told it was a bad belt and would be ready that afternoon. I received a call that afternoon that the issue was fixed and that I could pick it up. Unfortunately I couldn't make it back to the shop Saturday so I went to pick it up Monday morning first thing. When I arrived at the shop, after driving across town, they told me that they found another issue on Saturday and that the repair was going to cost another $300 but that it would be fixed Monday afternoon. After waiting all day for the repair I was notified again that another issue existed that cost another $200 but that it would be fixed before closing. My wife dropped me off at the store at 5:15 only for me to wait 30 minutes before they told me the part was coming from Macon and wouldn't be there before 6 but that they'd have it ready for me first thing in the morning. Come Tuesday morning I call first thing and it is not ready but it would be ready around 9/9:15. 2 hours later the car was finally ready for pick up and $500 more than what I was originally told would be the fix. Upon pick up I asked about a discount and was offered $107 discount for the inconvenience by the receptionist (she understood customer service), however she had to check with the manager to ask if it was ok and the manager refused to give any further discount because "they already did work and ordered parts not charged" that we were only told about after asking about a discount. This shop will find every thing possible to charge you for and rather than give you the courtesy as the customer to tell you what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix and when it would be ready, they don't value their customer's time or money. We will not be using the shop any more and warn anyone else from using them as well for the same reason. read more
