While driving from Chicago to Key West, our RV blew a shock near the right front tire. We just…read morehappened to be at the perfect exit for RV repairs. We found one mechanic who said they were too busy to help us and referred us to Byron Tire Company, which was about a half mile away. Across the street from Byron, there was a Camping World. My husband went into Byron's office and explained what happened. The girl came out and took the info from our RV that she needed to see if they had the parts necessary to fix it. Well, our RV is about 23 yrs old so I wasn't very hopeful. While she was looking up the part, I called Camping World to see if they had it. The guy there told me he didn't but could get it. I felt so relieved UNTIL he said that he wouldn't be able to fit us in for FOUR DAYS! Screw THAT! My hope dwindled again. :( The manager at Byron empathized with us and our situation. He said he could get the part and fix it immediately, even though THEIR stalls were full of cars that were ahead of us. He said the shock blew because the tire was bad and we drove on it far too long. He said he could put the spare on it but because it was our only spare, he didn't recommend it and we totally agreed with his advice. So, in addition to finding the shock, he also found us a new tire. I do know a bit more about cars than the average woman, and my husband knows a LOT about cars so I was prepared to argue a little, in case the cost was tremendous. There was absolutely no need! The price was reasonable and Byron didn't take advantage of our distress! I wholeheartedly recommend all locals and/or out-of-towners to have their cars/trucks/SUVs/RVs (or anything else Byron Tire Company repairs). Thank you SO much for everything!! Took car in because our alternator needed to be replaced. Bryon Tire said that the alternator was…read moreworking fine and that we needed a new battery. Paid $200 for a new battery/labor. After we picked up car and started driving down road, the battery light came on (because our alternator needed to be replaced). Pulled over and when I looked under hood I find out they didn't even replace the battery I paid them for. When I called them to explain what happened, they got very rude and told me that it just happens and that it's not a big deal. We had someone else run a test and confirmed that the alternator was failing and needed to be replaced. Never going back here again. They charge for work that they didn't do and they don't even attempt to make things right.

Teslas do not have spares and thankfully I always have a portable air compressor with me. We continued to our destination for the evening in Warner Robins, GA but arrived after everything was closed. I woke up every couple of hours to make sure the tire didn't go flat. We got to Discount Tire before they opened and they took my car in right at 8am as a walk-in even though they were already very busy. By 9:12am we were on the road. Love EVERYTHING about this service center…read more I can't say enough good things about our experience on March 4, 2024. We were stranded on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck. We called Discount Tire to verify they had the tire we needed in stock. They had the tire but the tow would be pushing it to get it there by closing time. We stayed in touch and we arrived at the service center at 5:55. THEY STAYED AND TOOK CARE OF OUR TIRE REPLACEMENT. WOW! WE'LL definitely use Discount Tire anytime we have tire needs.

A couple years ago I had them change my oil. I returned to the store to find out why I kept…read moresmelling oil and now had a oil leak. They had overfilled the oil. I left the store angry as they tried to tell me it was normal wear and tear that caused the leak. The car had no leaks before this happened. Before I had gotten home they had called me and decided that they were going to fix the issue they had caused. In which case of course I was happier. Not completely satisfied with how it was handled, but happier. Today our new to us truck had a break light and ABS warning come on. They were the closest. Grrrrrr. Right? Wrong. Sometimes second chances can be a good thing. The fellow actually came right out and assessed the issue and gave us peace of mind. He couldn't fix the issue last night, but assured us that the breaks wouldn't fail over this issue. Then said he would get our truck in first thing in the morning. Which he did and the repair is complete. The customer service was actually very pleasant and much appreciated this time around. We'll be back. Hopefully not often, but certainly as needed.

Raffield Tire Master on Watson Avenue saved me today! I live in Indianapolis and was here visiting…read morefamily when I hit something in the road. I knew when it happened that I probably damaged my tire, but I had no idea what I hit in the pitch black darkness of a country road. Turns out, my rim was bent so my tire was losing air. I took my Nissan Rogue to Raffield on the advice of the maintenance guy at my hotel. Raffield was able to straighten my rim and get the tire to seal again. Because I was traveling, they did this for me at no charge. I cannot say enough good things about Raffield! They were professional, clear in communication about the problem and very, very kind. I will use them again for sure for any auto issues while I'm in Warner Robins!

The owner did not inform us that he was going to be adding on items to the bill. Being in our 20's and knowing we are a good distance from where we live (our tags indicated we live in Alabama) he took advantage of our predicament. Our one bill was estimated to be $1,239.26 when all we requested was a new tire (which should range from $150 to $300). The owner did not ask or inform us that he was going to be doing any additional work on the tire until he had already done it. While communicating with the owner about how to handle the bill. He said he was eliminating the labor (which he did not). He was very aggressive and hostile in the whole interaction in turn made me feel very unsafe as a young woman. While there waiting for a significant amount of time his employees began doing illegal activities in the vehicle in the parking lot. When I requested that he write "paid in full" with a signature on the bill he proceeded to call me a "bit**" and many other derogatory things. He also tried to inform me that he will leave that we paid the full amount on the bill so that our insurance would then cover the full amount. While we went to the ATM the owner and worker proceeded to then mess with the brand new tire that was just purchased because once we made it home we had a flat tire on the new tire. It was taken to a Walmart tire shop and the employees there informed me that the tire we were sold was not brand new and had also been tampered with. So this in turn cost us an additional amount for the brand new tire that was purchased less than 9 hours earlier. This business owner is absolutely disgusting and he should be shut down. I am in the process of filing a police report as well as contacting the Better Business Bureau of Central Georgia. I also attached a photo of his detailed receipt.
