They should not charge a tow service to bring your car in to Fix something you've already paid for a few days earlier. Ended up having to bring car back multiple times to fix the problem read more

I'm sitting here getting an oil change next to a woman that recently purchased a used car. The part was a month out, and it was expensive, but he said it should be covered under warranty and the dealership could get the part much faster. The guy at the front spent the entire time I was here on the phone to make sure it was covered under warranty at the dealership and didn't charge her for the work they did at the shop. It was really above and beyond for no money. Great to see! read more

Upfront, honest, good people. My car had a head gasket blow after owning for a month (dont buy carvana). The warranty is covering an engine replacement, but not the turbos. This shop refused service because they want to give the best quality. I truly respect them and will be using them for all future maintenance/repairs (probably will have more based on the aforementioned issues). read more

Go elsewhere. I came in & told them exactly what my issue was. They told me it was my struts & said they couldn't find a single other issue with the entire vehicle. I'm still having the same issue. Clearly they don't know what they're talking about. Go elsewhere. read more

SCAMMER ALERT. Needed rear brakes/rotors and one caliper. I asked to see all of the damage, they put the wheels back on to hide their claim of brake lines being needed (brake lines were fine). They didn't even torque the lug nuts back down. They kept saying "you'll probably need a new master cylinder" trying to line me up for an even more expensive repair. No ethic mechanics. You have been warned. read more

My brother owed me money I was never gonna see. So he "gave" me a 2004 Silverado. Now, between Gerald's and Precision Tune (recommended by Gerald's guys) it is up and operational and the check engine light is off. It was not quite free. but nothing places hooked me up. James even replaced my license plate and put my new one on AND helped this tech-challenged old Marine to get my phone paired with the aftermarket radio in the truck. Plus, BONUS...They're right across the street (Venning at HWY 17) from Dublin' Donuts!!!! How can you do better? If there's a way please tell me. I'm out of pocket a pretty penny but this truck is running like a top. Wooot! Awesomus Maximus!!!! Try em our if you're mechanical friend needs some TLC. I'll be back. They even gave me a military discount. Who could ask for more? Be well. Stay safe. If we can survive our politicians we can beat this damnable virus. God bless all men and women of goodwill. read more

Precision Tune Auto Care - Precision Auto Tune! Great place, great people, great service. And it's close to donuts!! - Auto Repair Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

HUGE SCAM Honestly they were terrible- they estimated $3.3k for a fix, but as I was waiting they kept saying 'you should sell it soon', then when I drove it out it died within 5minutes of leaving there, and they offered a $500 coupon on a future purchase in exchange. Friendly people but 1000% the worst auto repair experience I've had in my life read more

I highly recommend the good people at Precision Tune Auto Care. I would definitely come back. They went above and beyond to help me out and even taught me how to jump my car if my battery dies in the future. read more

Idiot lights on dash had me pull in for a scan. First they told me they need to test the oxygen sensor which they said would require taking the top of the engine cover off costing $400 then they completed the scan $99.99 and told me I needed spark plugs for $1100 and a coolant flush and everything under the hood. Yes I left shaking my head short $100 with zero waning lights on. You want to take your car there, caveat emptor. read more

Very disappointed in the current service at Precision Tune Auto Care. Apparently they are under new management and the service has gone way downhill. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your car repairs. read more

I went in for an oil change service and they did a great job. Emily Poole the store manager made my whole experience enjoyable. She was personable, patient, and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend! read more

Great shop ,, Emily is the best most honest person in the business Thank you for always taking care of my families cars !!! 100 stars !!!!

The most dishonest manager and assistant manager ever! Quote one price and then tell it is substantially more (thousands) after they did the work! They did work that we specifically said not to do.Then told us they would put the old parts back on but then the next day they refused. Told us to pay to get the car back or leave the car and take them to small claims court. Lesson learned! Do not go here!! Still waiting on the owner to call me. 3 weeks and waiting. read more

They put in an alternator forgot to connect it. Broke down 20 miles away. Asked them to tow me back to fix it and they made me pay for the tow and re diagnose myself. I've been a life long Percision customer in Nashville and loved the service. This place tarnishes the brand name. read more

Never ever go here ever I thought it was good at first but then I started noticing my car breaking down over and over again about 3 months apart and it would be the same problem every time charged me 2,000 for the first Job then 1500 for the second one and now for the third time my car is broken again and definitely not going back there. Never go here they are horrible and lazy now ever since they got new staff. read more

$386 for front axle brake job on Kia Soul?? That's what I was charged. One hour of labor @ 181.50. $131 for brake pads which you can buy at Advance for $55. Very misleading pricing, they took advantage of me because they knew I was in a hurry. "Tim" also told me he would remove the diagnostic charge if I got the brakes done, but he did not. Shady business. I would look elsewhere. read more

They were pleasant at first but they use inexperienced technicians and do not use the best parts. Left here with a 500$ brake job and still having a serious problem with grinding over a month later. The worst part though was that they failed to tighten the caliper mounting bracket or the wheel lugs on the driver side. Found this out only after returning home from our trip and having to see my mechanic because of a vibration issue. Left feedback on their main website and was promised to hear back but no one bothered to contact me. I will never do business with these people again. Be cautious with them. Oil changes only. read more

Love this place. Always fast and do great work. Most of all they are honest and won't sell you stuff that you don't need. And the employees there are very nice... read more

Honest and Integrity...two words not always synonymous with auto mechanic shops. But they were with these guys. My check engine light came on in my truck and these days that can mean anything or nothing. I drove in with no appt, they got it back in about 20 min on a busy Fri aft, found out it was an erroneous message that pertained to fuel vapors being sensed (probably a loose gas cap), reset the light and sent me on my way with no charge. I offered to pay him something and he refused. So I can't speak for more costly repairs but in terms of honesty and efficiency, I'd definitely come back here. Hopefully this positive review will pay them back somehow. read more

Have used Precision Tune over a period of 20 years for a variety of issues with a number of vehicles. They have always been extremely fair, provided honest service, and been very timely. I went in for a standard oil change and they took great care of me. It was a Friday afternoon but I was out in no time flat. The women who handle the front desk and the mechanic were outstanding representatives of the organization. Thank you! read more

Brought in car without appt to get Check Engine Light diagnosed. Quoted $55. Various codes with brief description were reported. Instead of getting me to have car repaired there, they recommended that I go to dealer since car was still under warranty. Cherry on top... they gave me the report and didn't charge the $55. First time customer but won't be the last if non-warranty services are needed. Much appreciated! read more

I had to get my car towed, called them really upset because no one could see my car for at least a week, and they were so kind and understanding. They were very friendly, very accommodating, and made me feel like a truly valued customer. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their car worked on, they have been AMAZING with everything!!! read more

Very honest with time-line on when the vehicle would be diagnosed and repaired. I didn't have a smart-phone so James registered me for and called a ride via Lyft (saved me a lot of time trying to get home as no response from a local taxi service). Final bill was less than expected as they deducted the $109 diagnostic fee as promised. read more

I went to Mike and asked if he could work on a 72 Dodge Dart. He said no problem. When he called and said it was ready, same day, I went to get my car and it ran like the power house it was. When I take my vehicle in I'm skeptical because I know nothing about vehicles. I went to another shop West Ashley but the technician was so rude I left. That and I have been ripped off before but not at Precision Auto Tune. Treated with total respect by Mercedes and her father. Everything was explained and Robert worked quickly and even replaced my headlight bulb! Very reasonable and good people. Happy 4th of July! Linda W. read more

Just a routine oil change but also wanted tires rotated. Tech couldn't find the part in the car to remove the lug nuts so tires didn't get rotated. Maybe next time they could call my number and ask where it is in the car?? Other than that, this is a terrific place to get your car work on by professionals that are straight shooters! read more

Professional techs, good prices! Had my oil changed and they found a small vacuum leak. Fixed it no extra charge.

They were quick. The price was very reasonable. The front desk person answered all my questions about the status of my care truthfully. She didn't try to push me toward getting additional services and recommended a affordable car wash station down the street. I couldn't have asked for more. read more

Since moving to the area, I've frequented Precision for my oil changes and any little check-ins that I've needed. Each trip has been super quick and efficient. In and out (without appointments) and once for a small check on something that was concerning me, they didn't even charge, because it was such a little fix on their part. I really appreciate their service! read more

Unfortunately I've now had two experiences that have left a bad taste in my mouth (6 months apart, after I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over the first incident) - no reason to return a third time - in this case, two strikes and you're out. read more

Avoid. 1. I went there twice and both times and both times the vehicle had new problems. The first time, the techs completely messed up the wiring for my stereo system and it took me hours to get everything rewired. They denied doing anything wrong. The second time, they drained all of the AC refrigerant that was left in my truck, so what was a minor annoyance before is now a real issue. 2. Not a whole lot of respect for the customer. It's my problem, not theirs. Basically, they acted like I was lying to them when I explained what had happened the last time I brought the truck in, what was wrong, etc. No "returning customer discount" or even courtesy for that matter. The only good thing about them is that they are quick and will look at your vehicle without an appointment. This is not good enough for me. Find another shop, there are plenty in Mount Pleasant. read more

I have been coming to Precision Tune for years and have never had a bad experience. They let you know how long the wait is and it always ends up taking less time than quoted. I am getting my oil changed today and here is what I just witnessed. A man came in saying his AC had broken. Approx 5 minutes later, the mechanic let him know that his blower had come unplugged. They plugged it in and sent him on his way-no charge. This has happened so many times. Very trustworthy people. read more

I am very pleased with the service at this Precision Tune Care Center. They charged me $60 for a diagnosis which is free at most other shops. I didn't even think to ask how much a diagnosis was since I figured it was free or at least less than $20. I do not recommend going here! read more

I use Precision Tune Auto Care for more than two years and I always received an excellence and quality service. One of the few shop that you can trust for their honesty, good and prompt services. OK. Bear with me here. This is going to be a long review. First off, they were very friendly when I first contacted them with my problem, so I brought my truck over to them because I was very clearly smelling gas in the cab. I got a call back with an estimate about 30 minutes later, which was also great. They told me my fuel pump rusted out, and quoted me a price for the part and the labor. I thought the labor price sounded fair, but the part price was a little hefty IMO, but I was away from my desk when they called. As soon as I got back to my computer I did a little cost analysis of the part, and the most expensive one I found was from Napa for $340.00 The price they quoted me was %250 higher than this. I called them back, and was connected to the mechanic working on my truck. I asked him why the part price was so high, and he told me he got the part for $240! Which means the price was jacked up way higher than I originally thought, and I told him that. He got off the phone with me, and made another phone call. He called me back and knocked $100 off the price. I wasn't happy with this, but since they had my old fuel pump out already, and the new one in hand, I let it slide. I was mad enough to call corporate customer service and told them my story. I was told that local franchises decide their own pricing, but the discounted price falls in line with one that was charged recently on the same model as my truck. Seriously!? I paid almost more than 2x what I could buy the part for?! The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is that they were courteous on the phone, and in person, and the work they did seems more than adequate. If they didn't gouge me on the part, I would have given them a much higher rating. All that being said, next time my truck isn't running right, I'm taking it elsewhere. read more

Tried charging me close to 2,000 dollars to fix my brakes and rotaters. I in no way would ever pay that so I check out another brake business only for them to inform me I have at least another 6-8 months on my brakes before they need changing. Don't recommend this business at all. read more

Started off good with quick service to repair an evaporator coil. Once the repair was made I had new problems including a squealing noice every time my compressor kicked on. I brought it back multiple times to finally hearing, sorry we just can't fix it despite charging me nearly $1,500. I need to bring my car to Toyota to try and fix it now as the squeal is so loud I won't even be able to trade it in. This shop is completely incompetent and could care less about doing what's right and fixing their mistakes. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would, stay away from Prevision Auto they are not good mechanics. read more
