I had this shop replace my oil pan gasket and do some transmission work on my 66 mustang, and they…read moremessed up both. My oil pan gasket leaks a ton of oil, and when I took it back to get it fixed, they blamed the leak on my oil pressure sending unit. When I got the car home, I cleaned all the oil off and the only leak was from the rear of the oil pan. The transmission work I had done they completely messed up. I had the bellhousing replaced, clutch fork replaced, and some other stuff. Recently, I noticed my clutch pedal feeling very heavy and my transmission started grinding when I shift. I pulled the transmission and found that Edwards hadn't put all the fluid that leaked out when they pulled the transmission. There was only 1.5 quarts, when there should be 3 quarts. And to top it all off, none of the bolts for my clutch where tight. Some were hand tight. Because of Edwards, my transmission is destroyed and I have had to replace it myself, and my clutch which was $1,000, is potentially destroyed. Do NOT take your car here

I called and made an appointment and they got me in on the same day. I was about 30 mins late for my appt, so I just left my vehicle with them, and came back to pick it up later. The ladies working in the office were very friendly, and so were the mechanics. I liked the fact that they did exactly what they said they would do, for the price they quoted. The shop is very clean. They did a good job and I thought the prices were reasonable for Mercedes service. The actual shop (and office) is in another building behind the building that has the TItlemax sign on it.

Last week, I took our BMW 530i and Z4 in for repairs. I had consistent communication with the…read moreoffice personnel via phone and email throughout the week regarding the nature of the repairs and progress. Yesterday (8/6) I called the office in the afternoon to see if both vehicles would be ready. I was told that both would be complete by the following morning at 8am. I informed the shop that I would arrive at 8am on Friday (8/7) to pick both cars up. When I arrived, I was immediately informed that the 530i was not ready. I waited ten minutes for the owner, Peter, to arrive to discuss the matter. He told me that "the wrong part came in" and that's why my car was not ready. I explained to him that I had a discussion with the office assistant, yesterday, and was informed that both cars would be ready so that I could pick them up. He said, "it was a communication break down." I explained to Peter that I drove 40 minutes from Sullivan's Island (and paid for transportation to get there) and that I wasn't going to drive back to Sullivan's and come all the way back out to Summerville because his office failed to notify me of the delay. I told him he could complete the work and bring my vehicle to me when they were finished. He refused that option. I told him I'd be willing to let him finish the work but that I expected some flexibility on the rate based on the severe inconvenience. He denied that option as well. He went on to say that he "drives from West Ashley everyday" as if somehow that's relevant to the situation. I went on to explain that this has been a major inconvenience but received no sympathy or offer to propose a solution at all. The communication was ineffective and the owner has no accountability for his people or wasting his customers' time and money. This shop was recommended because they are supposed to do good work at a reasonable rate. In discussing the job with Peter earlier in the week, I asked him if they had any flexibility on the rate due to the fact that I had two cars with him. He told me that he didn't and that there was "no mark up on the part (a thermostat for the BMW 530i). The part was quoted at $100 and found it on the internet for $58. The issues with this shop are the following: - They are not accountable when they make a mistake that causes a customer time and money - There is a mark up on parts (which I would be fine with if they were honest) and they tell customers that there is no mark up I can't recommend this business as a result. I would be better suited to pay a premium closer to town as a result of the massive inconvenience and parts mark-up that they try to mask. I explained to Peter that I was going to post a review as a result of this unfortunate experience. He responded by saying, "that's ok, we get plenty of good reviews."

I knew the only issue was the battery as I hooked the car up to my own OBD reader and had no other issues. I told them no, thank you. Since the battery was dead when they tried to move it, they said they needed to do the test because it shouldn't have been dead since it was jumped to drive there. So I agreed. They came back and said my alternator was bad. On a 4 year old car.... They asked for me to leave it so they could order a part. I politely declined. Went back home and ran my own test again and the alternator was functioning properly according to my device. I took the car to another shop the next day and was told there was nothing wrong with the alternator and was actually testing well above what my device read. They could have gotten me for well over $1000 for a $300 job. They tried to take advantage of a woman who they thought wouldn't have known better. Definitely would not go back. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY'RE DISHONEST!…read more I will NEVER visit this shop again. I bought a tire here about a month ago. Today, I brought that tire back because it had a nail in it and needed to be repaired. The technician patched the nail hole, but while working on my tire, HE BLEW A HOLE IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PART OF THE TIRE! Then they made ME PAY FOR ANOTHER TIRE because of damage that happened to my tire while it was in THEIR SHOP! DO NOT GO HERE. THEY LOST MY BUSINESS PERMANENTLY. UPDATE: It somehow got worse. After I had already PAID for the replacement tire and walked outside to get into my car, the manager came outside behind me calling my name. I ignored him because, at that point, I had already paid for the tire and was leaving. He followed me outside, walked up to me and said, "I saw your negative review." He then got in my face, became aggressive with me, and called me an "old bad man" because I was ignoring him. Yes, at that point I cursed him out. He then told me that if I hadn't had a "bad attitude," he MAY have helped me. Helped me HOW? I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THE TIRE AND WAS GETTING INTO MY CAR! If he intended to resolve the situation, why did he wait until AFTER I had paid and was leaving, and AFTER he had seen my negative review, to approach me? I do not know this manager's name, but I will be contacting ownership about his behavior. A manager following an upset customer outside after the transaction is over, telling the customer he saw his negative review, getting in his face, insulting him, and then claiming he might have helped him if he had a better attitude is completely unacceptable. And here's the final part that really got me: I specifically asked them to check the pressure in ALL FOUR of my tires before I left. I drove away with my tire pressures at: 40 PSI -- 31 PSI -- 32 PSI -- 31 PSI The tire at 40 PSI was the NEW tire they had just installed. My vehicle's tires are not supposed to be inflated over 36 PSI. So after I specifically asked them to check all four tires, they let me leave with one tire at 40 PSI and the other three at 31-32 PSI. This entire experience--from damaging my tire, making me pay for the replacement, the manager confronting me outside after seeing my negative review, and then sending me away with uneven tire pressures--was completely unacceptable. I will NEVER spend another dollar at this business, and I will be contacting ownership.
