Came in to get a tire plugged in Tuesday. Took 2 hours. Woke up Wednesday same tire that was repaired, down from 33 psi to 16 psi. Filled to 33 psi to protect the tire rather than drive in it. Called said bring it in. Woke up Thursday morning down to 10 psi. Bring it in and told all appointments are booked don't know how long it'll take. Supposed to certified mechanics. Plugging a tire is the easiest task for a mechanic. Had the tires not been new, 3 months old, with road hazard warranty I would have fixed it myself. Came here for an oil change, took two hours. Unreal. And to make it worse, parking lot fairly full yet employee with a mini cooper can take up to spots and put cones around their vehicle, doesn't matter about customers. read more

Fixed right guarantee is a joke. Took my car in to get window regulator replaced. It's was over$500. Got glass replaced and glass guy told me the window was not working and probably needed new motor which was just replaced. I called Firestone. Spoke to Trinity. I told her I wanted to have the door opened up so I could see the replacement. She said fine bring it in. I get there and no manager on duty. The kid behind the counter said manager said I have to re-pay for labor. We got mad and the technician came up. He said he would look into this. He looked into it. The window regulator was a little off center and he centered it. Firestone management are cowards. Bait and switch to get us down to the shop. The technician had integrity and fixed the problem. Shame on you Firestone management. We said we would call corporate and they didn't care. My guess corporate doesn't care either. read more

My 72 y/o mom stoped today to replace two tires on her car, and she was screamed and chased away by two employees, this is her account of the event: It was the worst experience I ever had. I took my vehicle to replace two tires; after the service was done, I noticed the "check tire" warning light was still on. As I returned to ask them to check the warning light, two employees started yelling and screaming at me to remove my vehicle from the shop without any further explanation. They were extremely rude. I tried to ask what was going on and asked if I did something wrong, but they kept screaming at me, so I left. I need a formal apology from the Management of this store. Had to wait almost 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. And that was with an appointment. Whole lotta nope

went for a tire plug/patch cause by something on the road that penetrated the tire. The spare tire was taken off and thrown in the bed of the truck instead of returning it back under the truck. So, I took it back a couple weeks later to get it put back under. Then, I kept hearing noise for a few weeks coming from the back of the truck, so I took the truck into the dealership. The tech found a drill bit (HUGE) inside the wheel clanging against the drums and tire. This object was not removed when the tire was plugged, instead the item was either pushed though instead of pulled out or was all the way in and not checked by the tech. This extra visit cost me $89. Pure Laziness!! I am waiting for a call back from management to see about covering this cost.... wishful thinking, I am sure! read more

Not recommended. They were good when this store originally opened, but service and trustworthiness has gone downhill. I had all of my regular maintenance done here, including alignments, tires and oil changes. I purchased tires and had them rotated as recommended with each oil change, only to have one of my tires excessively wear on inside edge to the point of being unsafe. I question whether tire rotations were ever performed, otherwise they would have at least seen the worn tire. When I scheduled an appointment and went to store to purchase a new set of tires since I was dealing with an unsafe condition, I was told they were too busy to take me and too busy to call me to tell me they had rescheduled my appointment. When I asked why(not even yelling), I was told to leave. I did and will never patronize another Firestone Store or purchase a Firestone product. read more

Took over 90 minuets and charged me over $30 to plug a tire. If I would have known this I would of done it myself. I went in the morning and they were busy so I made an appointment for later in the day (understandable), still took over 90 minutes. I did not ask a price before service because normally it's free or like $10 (from previous experience). After service I was shocked that the price was over $30. Came here for a tire replacement. The customer service technician, Amanda, was very thorough with her customer service in finding a replacement tire. Thankfully, one tire was available. Unfortunately, due to the volume of the shop's workload an appointment could not be made the same day. After going to another repair shop, it was recommended that I go back to Firestone to purchase that tire as the other shop did not have my tire size available. Once I purchased the tire, the other shop agreed to put on the new tire. After going back to Firestone to purchase that tire, Amanda remained courteous in completing the transaction to getting me back on my way as I was visiting the area for a personal function. Despite a somewhat frustrating search for a replacement tire, I would recommend this place as Amanda displayed superior customer service and was thorough for the entire sales experience. Set up an appointment on Thursday for the following Sunday at 10am for 4 tires and an oil change. When the appointment was made they only had two tires in stock and said they would order the other two that only take one day to come I . Dropped my vehicle off at 10am for my appointment and was told it will be ready around 1230pm. After calling around 1pm was told they only had two tires still in stock and could only locate one more tire. No one told me that when I dropped my car off, no one called me to tell me there was an issue. Then asked if I wanted an alignment as it is needed, which was declined because I need the other two tires still. Told them to only change two tires at this time, they called back 30 mins later that my car was ready. After getting there 45 mins later my car was still on the lift with two tires still not mounted. Had to wait another 45 mins for them to finally finish. When checking out I was asked if I wanted to go ahead and pay for 4 tires since there was a sale going on. Uhm no, no I do not want to pay for 2 tires it didn't get when you had 3 days to get them in, didn't tell me there was an issue when I dropped off nor did anyone call me to tell me there was any issues. Then you made me wait almost an hour in store when I was told over an hour prior my car was ready. Didn't get my car until almost 4pm for a 10am appointment and didn't even get complete service I scheduled for in advance. Really wish I never went here. Wasted a whole day and going to have to waste another to get remaining 2 tires. read more

I was very torn on how to rate this business. Had my tires rotated on a Friday. Fine driving home By the time I drove it on the freeway the next Tuesday and hit about 60 it had a terrible rattle. So I called in and explained and got told I could drop it off (it's 715am) and they may be able to get it back to me by closing at 8pm. I understand businesses like this have a lot but when you go in with for general maintenance and come out with issues, take the time to rectify it. You messed up. It happens. I will probably be changing where I take my vehicles now. Other than this issue this is a relatively cheap place for maintenance and the customer service is generally on par. One of my biggest pet peeves is when a mistake is made and you don't own it. I luckily got in right away with another shop and I am sad that I have to pay someone else to correct someone else's problems. read more

They are ripping people off. Took one of our company cars there because it was misfiring with check engine light. They listed all these things wrong with the car causing the problem. One thing they said was it needed coil packs and plugs, told them to start with the plugs. Mainly because they were trying to charge me $627.00 for coil pack which you can buy them anywhere in town and on the net for $55.00 each for OEM or about $65 each for high end Accel . Car would not start when car was picked up, mechanic said he might have run the battery down and also said it checked good. They jumped it off and I took the car. Got it home and cleaned the terminals and the car starts right up but now idling badly again. Took it back and they came back with a catalytic converter. The mechanic's statements about testing were correct so I asked for a price. They wanted $1,785.00 to do the job, in the meantime I did my research and found, from the dealer the part was $538.00 and they wanted $1,385.00 for the part. When I confronted them, the manager got in my face telling me to leave and don't come back! Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE! Got an appointment tomorrow at the DEALER, that's right I said the DEALER to do the same job, parts and labor. $1185.00 out the door! LIKE I SAID, FIRESTONE IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!! read more

This past week my son experienced a flat tire on his way to work--he was "on loan" to a Summerville location for inventory. My husband met him, helped change to the temporary, and kept the damaged tire thinking we would have to have it repaired locally. We didn't want our son driving on the temporary for so many miles, so I looked up the Firestone in Summerville, went to pick up the tire at my husband's work location, and then called Firestone's Summerville location to tell them I was on my way. I was going to have to drop off the rim, then go swap cars so the tire could be put on, then swap cars again for both my son and I to drive back to the town where we live. Billy, who answered the phone, was able to look up and confirm they had the tire we needed in stock. But then he went the extra mile, so to speak. He asked about the location where my son was working. Billy told me that he would love to have my business, but there was actually another Firestone location much closer to where I was going. That store had what we needed in stock, too. He indicated that if they couldn't fit me in quickly, to come along to his store and he would take care of us. Once I arrived in Summerville, I Googled the second Firestone location. Trey, at this store, pulled up our records and confirmed they could assist. I left the rim, drove to where my son was working to pick up his car and took it back to Firestone. They were able to swap out the tire and perform the alignment in record time. I was able to return my son's car back to him, pick up my own, and make it back to our home town. We've had Firestone put tires on multiple vehicles for years. Purchasing the insurance and lifetime alignment has always paid off. In this case, we really needed help coordinating and BOTH Firestone locations really came through to provide exceptional customer service. I had recurring issues with my vehicle, stalling and shuttering and stopped on my way home. I thought it might have been the fuel filter of system, but the it was a sensor - they replaced it but on the way home it started acting up again so I headed back to the store and it was another sensor going bad - in the process of replacing the second sensor my car decided it would not even start. Well Lee and his staff worked all day to trouble shoot the issue and found a single loose wire that had been causing the issues. He handed me the keys and sent me on my way, he didn't even charge for the 8+ hours he and the tech worked on it. I brought my truck in for brake work, had some squeaking - ended up being a worn u-joint. They could have just pretended to do the work and not said anything about the brakes being fine (btw Toyota on rivers said they needed to be replaced) with over half the life left I the pads. Two things: 1) Never buy a Chrysler PT Cruiser 2) Lee and his guys are the best - honest and straight forward. I now bring all my cars their for service because I know I can trust the work they do and will not do work that isn't required. read more

This place sucks!! Got a flat tire right down the road from this shop so obviously pulled into their parking lot to see if they could help us. It was 1:30pm. They annoyingly said they couldn't get to me until 8:00pm at the earliest. When asked if they could simply step outside and guide me/help me get the spare tire off and we would do the rest, they again said they couldn't help until 8:00pm. I had all 3 kids with me, one a baby. All I needed was help getting the spare off or even for them to just vocally tell me how to, I could've done the rest. Would've taken them 2 mins but they couldn't even do that. I am furious! Thankfully we got the tire changed ourselves IN their parking lot and drove to a DIFFERENT tire place to do our business with. It would've taken a whopping total of 2 mins for ANY of them to help; 2 freaking mins. Gerald's is the ONLY tire place I recommend. They actually CARE about people above money. read more
