Let me tell you the story of the physician that saved my life. On a balmy day towards the end of…read moreApril, I had symptoms that required the skills of a neurosurgeon. The first spinal surgeon declined to operate on me as the site of surgery was too close to my brain stem involving my spinal cord. He referred me to his friend and that is how I got into contact with the neurosurgeon that saved my life, Dr. Erick Westbroek. I'm not sure why there is one disgruntled review on his Yelp page but nonetheless, I would like to speak accolades about his professional treatment of me with courtesy and respect. When he first examined me, I had a pretty serious medical problem that requires immediate surgical intervention. I'm talking about the kind that can lead to an occlusion of a vertebral artery could potentially cause induce a stroke. However, he was very calm and collected when he reviewed my medical notes and charts, knowing full well my medical condition even before I stepped into his office. Though he outlined the risks of the surgery, he spoke with a sense of reassurance that only someone who is confident in their skills can. I had my surgery within 2 weeks of initial consult with him due to the manner of my emergent medical condition. The day of surgery, he looked very relaxed and full of energy, ready to do my surgery. I was able to speak with him for a brief moment sharing how people of almost the entire orange county are praying for me and for him before the surgery. He made his surgical mark with a marker and before I knew what was happening after I was wheeled into the operating room, I was anesthetized. After what felt of only a minute, though the surgery lasted 6 hours, I woke up in the intermediate care unit where I had full use of my limbs again. As a physician, he restored my health. It was incredulous to believe. An ailment that I was afflicted with for several months was now abated. I could walk again! Not only that, I woke up to a new Pope elected after my surgery, Pope Leo. Furthermore, 2 of the nurses that visited and cared for me was my classmate and student. If that is not an uncanny coincidence, I don't know what is. I knew it was one of those where God provided Divine Providence. What a fitting name as the hospital where my life was saved... was owned by Providence. Thank you Dr. Westbroek for your consummate service to your patients. I would consider you a renown neurosurgeon in this county of Orange as there are few people with your subset of technical skills to operate at a precise level, restoring the health of the human body to its original function.

Daisy set me up with a cancer? physical therapist? what is going on there? I have spine issues and nothing to do with cancer. After I told them I am going to complain to the pain management in the same office. After tons of calls and my chart request for pt. Daisy came out and handed it to me and I also told pain management that staff of smoking something because they are beyond inadequate. Go somewhere else. I would get better help if I went to a V A hospital and that's the worse of the worst. Horrible staff!

Dr. Rebekah Neal from Valerius Medical Group has been my rheumatologist for the last few years. I…read morehad been having a lot of back pain for several years and other doctors just told me it was a muscle spasm or they didn't know what it was and just gave me pain meds or sent me to physical therapy which didn't work. When I finally found Dr. Neal she didn't just write me off but took the time to talk to me and asked a lot of questions other doctors never did. She thought I had ankylosing spondylitis (even though I am a woman and it's not nearly as common in women as in men) and sent me for x-rays. When those were negative she sent me for an MRI and I was FINALLY given the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. She started me on Humira and within a couple of weeks I was feeling better. Now I am living pain-free and can do anything I want without worrying that it's going to take days to recover. I do have to wait in the waiting room awhile sometimes to see her, but I know that's because she cares and takes the time with her patients instead of just rushing them out the door. Although I relocated I still make the drive to Long Beach because she is so knowledgeable and kind and went to bat for me when my new insurance company didn't want to cover Humira. I have referred a few family members to her medical group for other reasons and they are all really happy with their treatment. I highly recommend this group and specifically Dr. Rebekah Neal to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring rheumatologist.

This pain practice has been a real blessing for my mother as she deals with cancer in her spine…read more The staff have been gentle, patient, and very supportive throughout her care. Dr. Ho is especially compassionate and takes time to really listen, which we didn't always experience with other pain specialists we tried. He is thorough but also efficient during follow-up visits, and he helped significantly reduce her pain with steroid injections when medications alone were not enough. Walking in before the appointment, my mom could not sit up and had to lay down on the waiting room couch. After the procedure, my mom has been able to walk short distances without her cane. We are very grateful for the care she has received here.

So to deny visitation that was pre approved only able to state they won't prescribe medication but without reason as to why would mean they can't provide any other form of expertise in pain management so I guess thank god I didn't ask for an injection or they'd likely have me right into paralysis. Office staff were the most unprofessional I've encountered and hey the more patients dead, the more money from the government paid to not follow an oath to practice what they claim. It's pathetic to know they lied to get this profession
