My mom was referred to Dr. Harash by her primary care provider for knee arthritis and ligament issues, and we're very glad she went. Dr. Harash has excellent bedside manner.....kind, friendly, and professional. He keeps things simple, practical, and effective without overcomplicating the treatment. He took his time performing the ultrasound, was transparent about the PRP he was using, and made sure my mom felt comfortable throughout the procedure. The office staff was also wonderful and provided clear instructions before and after the treatment. She received one PRP injection in each knee, and within a couple of months she experienced significant improvement in her pain and mobility. It's now been six months, and she's still doing very well. Was looking for a good rheumatologist. My previous one retired. Took my time getting second and third opinions and landed on Dr. AL Harash and he sticked. He takes time to explain, and answer all of your questions with eye contact. Highly recommended. I Saw someone elses review on here say that they wouldn't prescribe her meds. This doctor is not a med pusher like most of the doctors. Doctors get paid by the pharmaceutical companies, keep that in mind. Dr AL Harash doesn't seem to be influenced by them. Dr. Al Harash is an ignorant and useless doctor. I have small fiber neuropathy as a symptom of an unknown condition. I saw this dr in my journey to discover what is causing this illness. This doctor did minimal testing during my first visit with him. When I was to see him the second time I accidentally went to the wrong location and had to reschedule. I believe this ticked him off because he then refused to see me again. He stated he "doesnt need to continue my care". When I clarified with his assistant that I wanted to discuss certain autoimmune conditions that might be causing my known illness, he still refused and said that he "doesnt treat small fiber neuropathy". A very ignorant doctor who clearly never googled my condition nor educated himself to learn there are plenty of autoimmune conditions that can cause my illness. An actual intelligent , knowledgable and caring doctor would have helped my test for what disease is making me sick instead of firing me as a patient. Pathetic and ignorant. read more

I came to Dr. Al Harash after my rheumatologist retired and after 15 years diagnosed with RA and psoriatic arthritis. From day one, he was dismissive. I brought my records back to 2009, he stated "can't read any of them". He set out from the first visit to "disprove" that I had an autoimmune disease. Ordered tests, then dismissed all my concerns over several visits. Office staff rude too. He essentially "fired" me as a patient telling me I was "fine". WORST experience with this condescending man. read more

I came to him at a low point in my life after being in constant pain for over two years and he showed me more care and understanding than I experienced from my family. Today was my first visit at this office. Dr. Harash could have been more tactful and compassionate in tone when he essentially informed me that I have hit the end of the road in regards to rheumatology helping me manage chronic stiffness of my entire spine. Perhaps Dr. Harash briefly looked at a compilation of imaging (+written reports) and lab work I had done in a period of a year and a half and came into the consultation with a certain mindset about my issue. When greeting me he asked in a curious, off-putting way who had referred me to him. I responded that it was my previous rheumatologist. But I felt he already knew that. Flag! From there, his tone in speaking got subtly more dismissive and slightly condescending. His facial expression and body language showed control, yet underneath there was a tinge of controlled annoyance. It said, "what else do you want? You've exhausted all your options. There is nothing else to do here." Since I'm also seeing a pain specialist he said I "should see them. They treat for fibromyalgia." I was perplexed. "But rheumatologist are the ones that treat for fibromyalgia." I think my remark sounded more like a question when I think about it now. He then put up two fingers and proceeded to inform me that, "One, here we treat for autoimmune disease." I could have SNAPPED at this point but I kept my mouth shut! I had to think if it was worth the energy. Science seems to go back and forth debating whether fibro is an autoimmune disease or not. The most clear example of his dismissiveness was when he suggested that, "We can try other medications (although you have been on different ones already), but don't come back telling me that you are being treated like a guinea pig." I felt my eyes get wide and my throat tighten. At one point he did behave more empathetically and asked about my life history (childhood, stress etc). I pushed back the tears, my voice cracked at moments. I avoided eye contact. The most uncomfortable 15-20 minute doctor appointment I've ever had. At the end he asked if there was anything else he could do for me, to which I responded "obviously not." It was a fact. The positive part about the experience is that I was escorted to the consultation room almost 5 minutes after check in. Another 7 minutes for the technician to do the preliminary procedures, and finally 3 minute wait before the doc entered the room. That beats the average in and out time of any doctor appointment I've ever, ever had. read more

Dr. Harash was recommended by my Gastroenterologist. He's one of the best doctors I've encountered over the years. He had great bedside manner. I never feel rushed and was always given enough time and individual attention during each visit. He is great not only as a doctor but also as a human being! He took care of me, because he knew that I didn't have a family doctor yet in two urgent occasions when he didn't have to. When my insurance company denied my MRI request, he was willing to spend his precious time to have the peer to peer conference with the doctors from the insurance company on my behalf and ultimately helped me obtaining the MRI approval. Dr. Harash also runs THE most amazing practice. I think the world would be a much better place if his practice becomes the standard protocol for all doctors' office. 1) Great patient portal with easy access to all the medical records, and all questions were answered in a timely manner. 2) Outstanding office visit records. Super super impressive! So comprehensive and detailed even the size of the needle used on my shoulder was mentioned! There's simply no comparison in terms of the quality of the documentations, even better than big hospital like City of Hope. I've never seen it in any private practice before. 3) Exceptional staffs. Every single one I encountered in the office has been great! Natty in particular was so sweet and patient the whole time when helping me. She always try her best to help during the seemingly endless back and forth with the insurance and different medical providers. I am so grateful for her! I highly recommend Dr. Harash and his team!
