I also brought my mother down from Northern California due to her Alzheimer's s in order to see him. Due to the Alzheimer's disease my mother was paranoid, scared, agitated and did not want to go to the doctors. Dr Zand was amazing with her. He was so compassionate. I had no idea how that doctor's visit was going to go (because of the Alzheimer's my normally very well-behaved mother had been making terrible scenes at her previous doctor). Dr Zand began by just talking to her about things she used to do as a teenager, sports she liked to do, Seattle (where she grew up) and completely put her at ease. This was so different then the other doctors who immediately gave her the Mini-Mental State exam, which scared her (at some level she understood her cognitive decline and didn't want a test to prove it). Dr Zand understood this and was able to thoroughly assess her while keeping her calm. Once again I would highly recommend Dr Zand and his staff. The staff is very professional and well organized to help navigate any recommended referrals.

He prescribed medication for me In the event I needed it during an episode, however since my visit I havent had an episode which is great. He provided me the reassurance I needed. I know first-hand what constitutes quality service. My Experience with Dr. Hung-Chuan Cheng's Office from Jan 16 - Feb 2, 2026 Unfortunately, the reception staff at this office made it extremely difficult to schedule an appointment. On January 16th, I emailed a photocopy of my insurance ID card and proof of eligibility. After a week of waiting, I finally secured an appointment for February 4th. Yet, on January 27th, Evelyn canceled my confirmed appointment, stating that my insurance would not be effective until February 1, 2026, and that I needed to wait until then to make an appointment. This seemed like an unnecessary barrier and left me feeling dismissed, especially as an elderly patient. I am concerned that Dr. Cheng may not be aware of how such staff behavior could negatively impact his practice. On February 2nd, I called to make an appointment. Evelyn answered, spoke briefly to me, and immediately hung up. I called back several times but was repeatedly disconnected. After about 30 minutes, another woman finally answered, with a sharp, angry tone. Name! Date of birth! No! Your name didn't come up! The tone of voice of the mad housewife, unhappy to speak to the caller. On January 22, 2026, Evelyn received my email with a copy of the insurance card. She scheduled an appointment for February 4, 2026. However, this woman lied to me; my name did not come up. Then they deliberately refused to answer any incoming calls for 30 minutes. I contacted my insurance company, which confirmed that Dr. Hung-Chuan Cheng is my PCP. They attempted to call Dr. Cheng's office several times for the next 30 minutes, but no one answered. Such unprofessional and dismissive behavior from staff, misusing their authority, can quickly undermine the reputation and hard work of a dedicated physician like Dr. Cheng. Dr. Cheng is a good physician, but he failed in managing the employees. Suggest that Dr. Chang install a surveillance system and enable voice recording on all calls for training purposes. The attitude of these two women suggests they have never achieved anything in life, including in their relationships with friends and family. This is self-destructive behavior. Now is the time for Dr. Cheng to recognize and replace the staff who can help build the business together.

Refer to the review from Karissa. She posted 8 years ago and it's so on point, everything she said is STILL so true today. We've had to settle for seeing the doctor's Assistants because he is unavailable, booked out for months every time we call. And, yes they have to check with him for everything. You'll be sitting in the patient room for longer than you wish. Recently after sending me to get some bloodwork done, I waited for a month before they got back to me with results on lab work (would have been longer if I hadn't called twice myself) and the PA never even considered prescribing pain medication while making me wait with back problems. Ultimately I find out that they never received the results. Thankfully I prompted them to get them. They don't have any system in place to follow up with patients automatically and they should! Do yourselves a favor and seek another doctor. I will finally be doing the same! One's health should not be put on hold. I'm switching doctors and staying away from their network.

I've been under the care of Dr. Buten. I appreciate his efficiency, but also his time to care about my health and goals. I feel like he strikes a great balance with not spending forever at the doctors office, but also gets the job done. I've primarily only visited with him, so can't speak for the PA staff, but think his care is great. He is also very responsive on the portal, which is much easier than calling--love that feature! All of the staff are courteous and nice when I've had to come in. It's somewhat easy to get an appointment within the week or so. Office is clean and organized. When I tried to make an appointment it would have been 3 weeks before he had time available. I told them all I needed was to renew my prescriptions. So they told me Alison the PA could help me with that. At least she was able to see me within 5 days. And it didn't start well with her but it ended well. First of all, the chart that she reviewed before seeing me wasn't mine but she corrected it. Second, with the new Memorial Care system, some of my information was missing so I had to let her know how much MG some of my medication was...annoying. What I like about Alison was she was very thorough. She had requested all my lab test and one blood test that was the latest in testing for cancer. Today, I got my results back from Quest (which took 2 weeks), let's see if they follow up on my results. I guess no news is good news. If no one follows up I will definitely switch providers. In the meantime, I'll go on Quest website and see if I can figure it out.
