Steve and team were amazing! Thoroughly explained all my options and results turned out amazing! What a honest, fantastic shop!!

Had a OEM quad exhaust for a late model X3M fitted on to a M40i. Steve was fantastic from the first conversation, laying out what work needs to be done and providing a real estimate. During the install he called with updates. The finished install was excellent and lined up perfectly. The value was great so I ended up leaving a tip. Really appreciate him and Sativa for running an honest shop in North County. read more

What a great find. While installing a new tip on Jeep, Steve noticed I had a broken shock bolt and a little damage to the shock. He did a great job fixing it and charged me a reasonable price. Thank you Steve! read more

If you need exhaust or welding work done look no further. Steve was incredible, his attention to detail is amazing. He installed a dual exhaust system in my 1970 Cadillac . It was originally a single exhaust, he was able to customize the whole exhaust system and add dual Dynamax Pro Turbo Mufflers. Everything had to be sucked up tight to the frame because the cars air bag system is able to lower the car all the way to frame. Amazing work! Thank you Steve read more

Steve you are literally heaven sent. I got a fix it ticket for my exhaust being "too loud" on my 2009 subaru wrx, so I came here in frantic looking for some help. Steve was extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful, i appreciate his concern & how he was so willing to help! He gave me a GREAT deal finding a new exhaust & throwing on an m5 tip so my car sounds a little sporty still, without tryna upsell anything i appreciate that. and ALSO my tire was looking a flat so he inflated it for safety lol Thank you so much steve! read more

Fantastic work on my 2019 RAM Rebel Hemi, he installed a great sounding exhaust perfectly and it sounds so good, strong and burly when on the throttle, but no drone on the highway. Very happy with the work and the price I paid. A good friend of mine recommended Precision Muffler and Steve for my exhaust needs. He is located in San Marcos, so a bit of a trek for me from the South Bay, but absolutely worth it. My new RAM truck has a nice Hemi V8, but the stock exhaust is so quiet. Steve installed a custom exhaust based around the Flowmater Outlaw muffler. Much better quality than to "Direct Fit" system and at much better price. Quality custom piping and welding. If you are in the market for a custom exhaust, give Steve a call. He knows his stuff and really cares about quality work, good quality welds, and attention to detail. read more

Fantastic work. It's my 3rd time here. Got a custom cat-back exhaust on my Volvo. He routed everything beautifully around the awd system, and it sounds amazing. The guy's welds look like a machine did it too. He also found a flaw in my inner front tire which saved me from a potential blowout. Don't be put off by the shabby look of this shop. This is definitely one of the best exhaust shops in SoCal. read more

Been going to Steve since my first car in high school, always doing the best work and the best price around town !

Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get some exhaust work done. Steve is professional, many years of experience, and pays close attention to detail. Took in my lexus is350 to get a resonator put on to help with the drone, called me up to give his feedback and that's something that matters a lot, he makes sure the customer is satisfied before leaving the shop. This place is a gem. I took my BMW here to get my Dinan exhaust installed and now it sounds amazing. Steve did an amazing job. The name of the shop is Precision and that is what Steve is. He took the time to make everything look good down to the way the tips came out. The right welding and piping. Im glad I listened to what he suggested with deleting some other things. He is very knowledgeable about exhausts and the exhaust notes. He even did a spot weld the next day for my diffuser undertray cause i broke a screw lol. This will only be my exhaust shop from now on. Customer for life. Thanks Steve! read more

Precision Muffler was recommended to me for getting my catalytic converters worked on. Steve was great and explained the whole process to me. He was kind and very knowledgeable. Not everyone in the auto service business is seen as honest, but Steve truly is one of the good guys. His shop is just the right size for the work he does so his prices are very fair and considerate. Work was completed when he said it would be and his original estimate was what he charged. No surprises. Which is a great thing when dealing with car repair work. If Yelp has a 10-star rating, that is what Precision Muffler would get from me. read more

After self-installing an annoyingly loud aftermarket exhaust system on my Focus ST, I needed help making my car enjoyable to drive again without fully going back to stock. Steve at Precision determined that a new muffler would be an appropriate fix, and worked tirelessly to find a compatible muffler that would correct my mistake. The search proved difficult, as dictated by market availability, but Steve managed to make it work through a combination of craftsmanship, expertise, and wizardry. I now finally have a system that gives me the gratifying purr that my car was originally lacking, without the paranoia of getting a ticket from CHP and the unbearable drone that the aftermarket system had. Thanks Steve! read more

Steve is THE man to go to if you need exhaust work done on your car. Very affordable and does extremely professional work. As well as being on time with every project. I took my 1987 BMW 3 series with exhaust leaks that he was able to fix and his welds were spot on. Then was able to take my 2015 BMW 2 series for a muffler delete and new exhaust, sounds AMAZING now! Will highly recommend to anyone. Thank you again Steve for the timely, affordable and professional job. Will be sure to bring in any future cars as well. read more

I'm really impressed with this shop. The owner is so attentive to detail and went above and beyond my expectations. I have a highly modified car that I'm assuming is a bit more complex than most cars that come through here and he was so thorough in not only fixing my manifold, but inspecting everything else on the exhaust and get this - recommending what not to waste my money on. We need more shops like this especially in these times. Not only would I go back, but would recommend my friends to only go here for any exhaust needs in SD. read more

In researching a replacement muffler for my new Tundra, I called Steve, the owner of Precision, first. His knowledge and expertise were readily apparent and installation pricing was fair. Customer service was taken to a whole new level when Steve called to accommodate my schedule. Steve is one of the good guys! He went out of his way to stay late to install the muffler. He explained what he was doing the whole way through. He stands by his commitments and is a man of his word. He is genuinely a nice person. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Steve again, and would recommend he, and Precision Muffler, to anyone who is looking for a new muffler, exhaust system or repair. read more

I highly recommend Precision Muffler. They have great prices for their services and are very honest and do great work. While I was waiting for my catalytic converter to be installed, a woman came in thinking she needed new catalytic converters (2). Instead of having her pay for the catalytic converters, the owner told her to go to a automotive shop and have them read the computer on her car to see if that was the problem because they didn't want to charge her for unnecessary work. If you need muffler or catalytic converter work (and whatever else they do), go to them. I don't write many (hardly any) reviews, but this is how impressed I am by this shop read more

Took my Suzuki GSXR (motorcycle) to Steve and he did a awesome job doing some weld work on my exhaust system. CLEAN tig welding and even did some extra welding at no charge which I know for sure would have been a extra charge anywhere else.
