Once upon a time, I worked for a Radiology Group- so I know what to expect for most testing. I found myself at Precision Imaging for a diagnostic mammo and possible ultrasound- I have an extensive history thanks to being a survivor- and I was overdue for a screening. Here's the reason for 5 stars- they go above an beyond, especially if it's a diagnostic mammo. The mammography technologist was extremely thorough, doing additional imaging of a problem spot, Nicole was gentle and professional. The women's lounge is where you wait before and/or between scans and it is a comforting space for those stressing about whatever reason they are here getting tested. I found myself here for a while because my 2 scans were scheduled with a gap- they had fit me in, so I was willing to wait. The ultrasound tech was also very good- she had a gentle touch and made sure to confirm the area before scanning. And the radiologist they have only reads breast imaging- it is her specialty, she doesn't do any other body parts. Meaning- she is the best for her field- the doctor came in to not only explain the results but also scanned me herself (ultrasound) just to be sure nothing was missed. I went through breast cancer, I was handled by many doctors, techs and such for years after treatment and I have never been anywhere for a mammo that gave such spectacular care. Shout out to Caralise (I have no idea if I spelled it right)- she went above and beyond to squeeze me in for today after realizing I needed more imaging and the radiologist on site. In the past, I've always found this facility running on time. You make an appointment, they kept the appointment. However today, I was made to sit and wait for more than an hour! When I arrived, the person at the front desk said it would just be a couple of minutes. She lied! It was more like an hour and 15 minutes. In the future, I will request to have these services done elsewhere. I can accept delays, but to be lied to is not acceptable. Also, their maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Their waiting room furniture is old and run down. Some people could hardly get out of their chairs. Their restrooms are not very well maintained either. Toilet paper still not on the toilet paper holder because the holder is broken. It's been that way for a long time. The sink in one of two bathrooms I used was cracked in multiple places, and the toilet water tank was loose. The MRI Technician was a very nice man, maybe from Jamaica, but he wasn't prepared with any cleaning towels after the procedure he performed for my MRI. Instead, I was made to dress and then walk down the hall to a restroom where I could then clean myself. They really need to review their MRI procedures that require a balloon to be stuck up your butt! What a terrible, messy experience. I can no longer recommend this facility. I'd rather wait for an appointment at Baptist South, or try some other imaging center in the Jacksonville area. read more

We had an appointment at 7:30pm just to sit in the waiting room until 9:00pm. They said it should only take 10-15 minutes for the scan. So 1.5hr wait for whats supposed to be less than 20 minutes. They did offer coffee and snacks but that doesnt make up for the long wait especially for those that are elderly and have back issues. Your appointment time pretty much doesn't matter. My partner has also gone into this business at another location with the same experience. read more

IGNORANCE AT ITS FINEST! DON'T DO IT! My profile says California (google id) but this was for Gate Parkway Jacksonville Florida, other reviewers mention the same experience for their other locations. Before you read the details, ask yourself this: Would you trust this place with important tests if your life depended on it? In the year of 2022, I tried to schedule a lung CT; they could not find the doctor's orders even though they were sent twice. Ok can I just pay out of pocket I am an ex-smoker, no, you need doctor's orders. Fast forward , May 2024 I walked the orders in. Scheduled a Mammogram and a CT. Scheduler said they do not do CT's on Saturdays. Ok. Try something else. Had to change it later and different scheduler said YES we can do it on a Saturday. However, she also did a blind transfer when I needed to talk to billing. Not cool! Ok now, two different appointments one for Mammo during the week and a CT on Saturday. 12:15 arrive for 12:30 appointment "Fill out all these surveys". Done. 1:15 called back to change. I asked if I was going in soon as I have another appointment. Yes, fill out this survey, I already did that, no this one is different. NO, IT WAS NOT, just something to pass the time for THEM. 1:30 You will be next after her, I promise it will be by 2 PM. 12:30 Appointment 2:00 for a 10 min Mammogram? I had been using this place for years without issue but it appears Dumb and Dumber took over the place and it all went to hell. read more

Update: I went in again and she started degrading me from the moment I walked in and told me to go sit over there. Like some kind of game warden. I was there for a kidney test and she demanded that I pay a co-pay she claimed I owed that I didn't. She even then made me stand and wait forever even though I was doing an ultrasound and had to drink a certain amount of water and could barely hold it. She claimed she wrote billing and they finally wrote back and said I hadn't met any of my deductible. When I called them the next day they said they never got an email. They told me that this office had been collecting money from me for months. Many hundreds of dollars. I don't mean 100 or 200 or 300 or 400. I mean more. And they have been taking my money and never offered to refund it and billing apologized that Fleming Island did this and promised their Director of the entire company would be contacted. I can't believe what they did to me and they have been doing it to others as well. read more

I'm going full-force with a five star review because the ladies here were so friendly and personable. I did have to wait nearly an hour after my appointment. Tip: they get further behind as the day progresses. If your appointment is after 8pm, the likelihood is that you'll wait a bit. So bring a book or take a nap on a cozy couch. The lighting is dimmed and the furniture is comfortable. The fact that they could squeeze me in with a day's notice for MRI imaging is pretty spectacular. read more

What a great place and wonderful staff. I was sent to get a CT by my chiropractor who was concerned I had been misdiagnosed at the ER (he ended up being right). Upon checking in, I was told that the employee at the chiropractors office had checked a wrong box and that they were at capacity. That said, the girl checking me in realized I really needed to be seen and worked very hard to resolve both issues. They went above and beyond when the mistake wasn't theirs and showed immense compassion and made sure I was seen. And they did so very quickly which was kinda a bummer because their waiting room is so inviting and comfortable! I was taken to the ladies locker room to undress for my scan and wait for the technician. This waiting room was as luxurious as any spa waiting room I've been in, they just were missing the green tea and cucumber water, lol, seriously, it is that nice and calming. read more

Made appointment for routine mammogram and dexascan. All paperwork completed by me online prior to appointment. Drove across town and arrived at appointment, brought back for screening. Was told they could do the dexascan but not the mammogram as I had indicated an area of tenderness. This would require me to contact PCP for order for diagnostic mammogram and schedule another appointment. Call PCP, orders sent right away. Call to reschedule. Weekdays weren't good, so assistant suggested Saturday afternoon. Drive back across town on Saturday and arrived to appointment early. Wait a few minutes, then told they were ready for me and to come back into lounge area to change. In lounge area, I am then told that the radiologist doesn't work that day, and I would have to reschedule. Not ever going back and will be sure to NOT recommend this facility for services. They could have at least called BEFORE the appointment to let me know about the radiologist schedule. I had structured my entire day around that time slot and accommodating their demands about having to get a different test. And I'm certain that my insurance company would prefer to get the less expensive screening mammogram first to see if there really was a need to get the more expensive diagnostic. read more

I had a scan a year or so ago & the place was nice. Nice surrounds & furniture. The staff was friendly as well. My husband recently had a scan as well & the experience was nice. My 80 year old mother was in bad back pain and her doctor sent her there to get a X-ray asap too see what's going on. She arrives and is told they don't take walk-in's Seriously??? WTH!!! 2 people sitting in the lobby??? I could understand if you had 30 people waiting but it's a X-ray! Takes all of??? 5 minutes max!?!? I'd offer up 0 stars if i could. They told us they were running 45 min behind. Keep in mind we had an appointment. If you have a set time at an imaging center, you shouldn't be behind 45 min. Here we sit over an hour waiting past our appointment time. The lady checking us in was also very rude. She jump to conclusions a few times when her cookie cutter script wasn't working for her and said "we will have to reschedule the appointment". I had to slow her down and tell her to stop! I made an appointment for two imaging services. I came a few minutes early. They brought me right to the private area for check in, then my technologist quickly called my name while I was in the waiting room and brought me back for my imaging appt. I asked for a copy of my records after completed. The disk image they gave me same day and radiology report takes 24-48 hours. very pleased with the cleanliness, kindness and timeliness of appt. First time coming here (from Optimal Imaging). Nice facility, waiting area. Great location (5 minutes from my job). Got results right away, a little too fast. They needed to compare my last records from Optimal and I couldn't wait so I came in and they had received them. The nurse was VERY understanding and gave me the updated version. She was so sweet and made me feel at ease. I wish I got her name. But all the nurses were friendly. This will be the place I come too for my imaging needs. Thank you!! read more

Excellent people skills for staff. Timing very bad- appointment made, but an hour and half wait not so good... I know the healthcare industry is know for waiting room issues, but there has to be something to do schedule better... I will work on it, maybe it is an application to account for different situations based on the patient so you can tell what your day of appointments will be. Till then, it is a pain. read more

My appt was with the Beaches location. More than once they have called the day before my appt and canceled due to Ins reasons. I've never had a problem anywhere else. Just this business. I have an appt scheduled for 11/30. I received numerous text to remind me of my appt. I get a call around 9am this morning cancelling my appt due to their machine being broken. I put in a call to my PCM. My doctor calls me a back and tells me that they were told by Precision that they were waiting on my Ins. Terrible experience: It took 7 calls to finally get an appointment. My Teenage daughter was there to get an ultrasound, and the tech was very cold and unfriendly. I made an appointment for a DEXA scan (bone density) several weeks ago for 8/31/22 at 10:30 am. They sent me multiple reminders about my appointment and additional ones about cancellation fees. I prepaid for the service and when I arrived I was asked for my ID and ok insurance. I explained that I had already paid for the procedure and no insurance was involved; I provided ID and was told it had to be "scanned." I asked why and how the information would be used. The reply was that "We always scan ID for every patient." Considering all the problems with identity theft, hacked data bases, etc. , I didn't think that response warranted a scan and asked that the scan not be performed. I was then "arrived" (i.e. checked in) by someone else and then told to wait in waiting room with others. After over 20 minutes of waiting, I asked when I could expect to have the procedure. After waiting another 5 minutes, I was brought to the back to change my clothes. I finally was able to get my 10 minute scan 45 minutes after my appointment time. In all fairness, it is a lovely facility, the waiting rooms, bathrooms, etc. are elegant and beautiful. Jessica' did a great job explaining the procedure, what I needed to do (be as still as possible), and why. My issue is the amount of time I waited (and probably still would be waiting), had I not spoken up and the way I was treated when I dared to inquire about their office procedure. It was as though I no longer existed. My time is just as valuable as theirs and it most certainly was not treated as such. read more

I am beyond extremely disappointed with Precision Imaging. My Dr faxed in orders today for a STAT ultrasound. I repeat the orders were for a STAT ultrasound. A lady called to schedule an appointment and she said they have no appointment available for a week. I explained the orders said STAT. She said she will talk with her supervisor and call me back. She called back and said it is not possible for me to get an appointment for another week and a half!!!!. What kind of a healthcare facility is this? I will never recommend this facility to anyone and have informed the doctors office not to send anyone to Precision Imaging. read more

I was scheduled for an appointment at this facility for over a week, I showed up 15 minutes early. They were closed, all locked up and seems long gone. This is the 27th of December so I guess they wanted to be home. No call, absolutely NOTHING! The point that I had company that had to leave to accommodate my appointment was on me. But, the absolute disregard and disrespect to not even call to reschedule shows a lack of unprofessionalism on the entire company. As I was standing outside their closed business I borrowed a phone to call them. The lady said they had been having trouble with that "machine" so had to reschedule. I find that to be a lie, my appointment was 7:30pm not a person in there working on this "machine" but they could reschedule me for 6:00 the following morning. Obviously they wanted the evening off and took it, hell with their patients. I will have my doctor move these orders to an establishment that can be TRUSTED! PS They also tried the old didn't have this phone number but as I said I called on a friends phone, having rushed out to make my appointment on time. I had excellent care here and had a wonderful experience! In just the past 6 months, I've had 5 MRIs, 1 MRA, 2 Mammograms, 4 Ultrasounds, 7 Cat Scans, and more x-rays than I can count. I am divulging this information because, unfortunately, I've learned my way around imaging centers, and have learned more than I ever cared to learn about all these tests. This last MRI and Cat Scan was the first time I have used Precision Imaging, so I have a lot of other places to compare it with. My orthopedist specifically sent me here because he needed contrast injected into my shoulder before the MRI and only a Radiologist can do the procedure. Because I needed the contrast, I couldn't go just anywhere, it had to be at an imaging center with a Radiologist who worked on patients. Now that I've gotten some of my recent medical history out of the way, let me get on with the review of this excellent imaging center that totally and completely deserves the full 5 stars I am giving them! The office is lovely. It's decorated beautifully. There are two large waiting areas in the front with plush, comfy chairs and sofas. I also loved the look of all the shabby chic furniture. I felt like I was sitting in the lobby of a fancy hotel rather than a medical facility. It was very calming and soothing. Complimentary coffee is offered and there's a nice-sized flatscreen in one of the waiting areas. Unfortunately, I didn't even think to pull out my iPad to see if they offered free WiFi. Check-in was a breeze. Hannah helped with both check-in and check-out. She had a beautiful smile and was very friendly. There was the usual paperwork to fill out and of course copies were made of my ID and insurance cards. Everything went smoothly, and of course it's always nice to deal with friendly front office staff. I didn't have a very long wait to go back. Maybe 10-15 minutes after I finished filling out my paperwork. First I had to have a local anesthetic injected into my shoulder followed by contrast which was performed by Dr. Morosov. This was done in the room with the Cat Scan as they needed CT pics after each injection. I really liked Dr. Morosov. He explained everything he was going to do throughly before he began and made sure I understood the procedure. Lisa and Aly were the two technicians assisting him during this process. They were both just wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I suffer from anxiety and often have severe panic attacks. Just as Dr. Morosov was beginning, I started having a panic attack and they immediately got my husband when I requested him and they allowed him to stay right by my side while the doctor was performing the injections. Hubby just had to step out briefly with them each time they would do a scan. Because I was so anxious, they also allowed hubby to be in the room with me for the MRI. Dr. Morosov has an excellent bedside manner. The entire time he was talking to me in a very soothing voice telling me what a great job I was doing and telling me to just breathe. I am so grateful for the doctor and his techs handling my panic attack the way they did - exactly as they should. There have been times at other offices where it has been handled incorrectly. Next came the MRI. Aly and Derek were the techs who performed this procedure. Once again, Aly was just wonderful and so was Derek. They got me positioned on the table and made sure I was comfortable. I was expecting the MRI to last the usual time (about 30-40 minutes), but it was over in only about 15 minutes. After the procedure Derek told me it's because the machine they have is 3 times more powerful than normal MRI machines, so it takes the images much faster. He also told me it takes much more accurate images. I can't complain about that one bit because I'm claustrophobic, so the less time I have to spend inside one of those tubes the better! Inside the tube, there were even lights above me, so I didn't feel quite as closed in. That's the first time I've ever been inside an MRI with lighting. They were very quick getting the disc ready for me to take to my follow-up appointment with my orthopedist. They had it ready for me just as soon as I had changed back into my regular clothes. Everything in this office was extremely clean. The restrooms were very well maintained and were pretty large. I highly recommend this facility for all of your medical imaging needs and I will gladly return in the future if I need any procedures they offer. Knowing me and my clumsy self, I'll be back in no time! LOL read more

I went for cranial MRI at the Fleming Island Location. As my first time for MRI I was not aware OR made aware of the extremely high noise levels and potential hearing damage, but was told that the headphones would block most of the noise. They use standard headphones from Siemens which are rated at 14db (worst in the industry) attenuation only, and considering the machine can get up to 130db this is dangerously high. Siemens equipment manual actually states you need at least 30db of protection for the patient. I strongly recommend to NOT go to precision imaging for an MRI as they clearly are not concerned regarding patient health and safety regarding this procedure (I cannot comment on other procedures, but the MRI shows a lack of guidelines/adherence to safety protocols). If you have to go for an MRI at Precision I strongly recommend to wear your own earplugs underneath the headphones (which I would have done if I was aware of the noise). I would have expected a professional organization to have the proper PPE (including for hearing) for their customers and make sure their customers are aware of the risks. I hope that Precision makes the necessary changes to their protocols to make sure that NO CUSTOMER has to ever be put at risk again. read more
