I made an appointment online for a recent MRI at this location because it was the first available. This location is located off of Beach Blvd in a strip mall next to the Publix. The parking lot placement is a little weird, but there were spots available, but just beware the spots were tight. When I arrived I was quickly greeted. Since I did all the initial paperwork online prior to my appointment, the only thing I needed to do was pay when I arrived. In less than 10 minutes I was taken back by Miranda. She brought me back to a room, let me know what the process would be for the MRI and she also had to do the contrast (I was unaware that I was getting contrast in my arm). She did a great job and it was a quick and almost painless experience. The MRI took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Was it loud? Yes. They did give me headphones, but it doesn't do a great job of draining out the beeps. I was in and out of the entire facility in about 30 minutes. read more

I used Precision Imaging a few months back for an MRI. This was my second MRI but the first time my whole body had to go into the machine. The wait was a bit long which prolonged my anxiety My name was called and I was led to a room where I had to take off most of my clothes and put on a gown. Then I went across the hall to the MRI exam room. They had put an IV in me as the doctor requested contrast the last five minutes of the MRI. It took a while for technician to get the IV in which was uncomfortable. But I guess any IV is not fun. My friend gave me advice the night before which was to close my eyes before I went inside and keep them closed until I was out. I listened to her advice and it worked. By the time it was over I had relaxed. I was inside the tube for roughly 20 minutes. They were in communication with me through the headphones and checked on me a few times. It was pretty loud and I was hoping for music but that was not an option at this location. I would use this location again. But I hope I don't need to for a long time! read more

Couldn't find the location. There sign was out and they are located in the corner with other businesses that were all closed. I drove around and then got back on Beach Blvd and drove down a little further looking for them. Turned around and came back to where GPS said they were located. Drove along the front of every business looking and also called to find out exactly where they were. I also stated I had a 7pm appt. I entered the office 10 minutes late and stated that their sign is not working and I had driven all over the place. The rude lady at the front stated they gave my appt. to someone else and it would be 30 minutes or so. I said I I was 10 minutes late and called because I couldn't find the office. Then I said so you gave away my appt? She said yea you were 15 minutes late so... I got no I'm sorry or concern about the sign. They have a 15 minute hold policy and I was 10 minutes late and it was due to their sign being out. I had never been there. I will never be there again either. I called back and talked to the lady I spoke with before and she restated they shouldn't have given my appt away and apologized for the other rude employee. Easily the best-run medical facility I've been to in a long time. I needed an MRI, ordered it on a Friday morning, and was invited in for an appointment on a Saturday... The next day. Upon arrival, I found a spacious and modern reception and waiting area, with friendly staff. I forget whether the receptionist's name was Debbie or Ashley, but I am 100% sure that the person who coordinated all of my care was Devenney, a young lady with great energy and competence. She got me into the MRI technician for two separate MRIs, both of which were performed with professionalism. Setting up the website was simple, so that I could see my images and reports. From scheduling to coordination of care to billing and reporting, everything was professional and effective. I would highly recommend this location if anybody needs similar imaging services. read more

I was injured while working in after a car collision. Workman's Compensation sent me to Precision for an MRI. Prior to the MRI I had two sets of x-rays that showed a fracture in my back. Two MRI's at Precision did not show a fracture. For Workman's Compensation I had so many pages to complete regarding their liability. I had to sign that I would not hold Precision nor their affiliates responsible for anything. Ie never file a lawsuit against them. If you are on Workman's Compensation, beware. They stopped my MRI at several points to "organize the images". That's what I was told when they would stop the MRI. Then I returned for a mammogram. It's been over a week and I've received no report, no call, and there is nothing on the portal. Standard of care is not the norm. May god help you if you are injured at work in the state of Florida. After hours of my flight being delayed, going back-and-forth with Sam on the phone about different appointments in different locations, I would recommend this practice to anybody and everybody who needs their services. Sam was pretty much the highlight of my day and an absolute savior when it came to scheduling a quick turnaround x-ray that I need it done that day. She deserves the highest of honors for being not only adaptable, but an incredible communicator and a proactive personality. The entire team at the Gate Parkway location also made me smile and were a huge part of the reason why I'm writing this review. They saw how exhausted I was after such a long day, and saw me in immediately. No delays and everybody was incredibly kind. Special shout out to Vince for seeing me so quickly! The entire team there were gems: Kim Rambol, Paola, Heather, Kyla, and Kim all deserve gold stars as well for their compassion and friendliness! This is definitely the best location but they don't take Tricare. Everyone here is so kind and go above and beyond. They are a little extra by offering to grab you beverages for the little section that you as a customer could go to yourself but they offer to bring things to you. They are FAST too. In and out like a well oiled machine. I would highly recommend this location if you have the option. The front area also has a better seating arrangement and extremely easy to find. I am extremely disappointed in the service your imaging center has. I'm new to Jacksonville and was referred to your facility by my new ob/gyn to have a screening mammogram and ultrasound. She read my records from my prior doctor in south florida where i've been getting both of these test for the past 20 years. the reason i get these test is because i have dense breast and have had biopsy on my breast. I was told by your staff the facility follows the american college of radiology and not the doctors orders and that they would not perform the ultrasound on my breast. 1st i would need to do the mammogram and then if needed an mri. Ive always had my testing done at the memorial healthcare system in broward county and i've been told by several providers that the mammogram along with the ultrasound is the best testing for my situation. I agree following the american college of radiology standards for women with no history. however the way i have been treated by your facility is neglect and boardline malpractice. I was like one of the directors to reach out to me to explain how this practice is adequate or if i misunderstood. At the moment now my appointment has been cancelled for this friday because i need to do both and i'm leaving to buffalo on saturday for 2 months. I made this appointment before leaving because i wanted to leave with piece of mind before our trip. Very disappointed in the poor care i have received. excuse any misspellings. read more

Avoid at all costs. Called to inquire about a walk in xray for my five year old son and was told we could come right in as they did walk ins until 4. I arrive at 308 to be told that the xray tech left at 3. I asked why when I told them I was on my way. No one cared. I will never use Precision for imaging ever again. they wasted my time and gas and couldn't have cared less. the reason I called was they did the same thing to my wife last year. She got here after calling to see if they would be open so she could pick up a disk and got there an hour later to all doors locked and no one there. I am a nurse in Ortho and I have recommended Precision to hundreds of my patients. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I have had several appointments with precision and they always want reviews so I am leaving a review. The technicians are wonderful never had a problem with them! Billing is horrific though! I have 2 insurances and they refuse to do scan unless I pat copay from primary insurance and tell me I have to bill second insurance myself to try and get reimbursed for what they want me to pay instead of billing like it should be done! I have two insurances so i don't have copay not so I can pay then try to get my money back. Sad that I won't be going back due to a lazy billing office. read more

It has been weeks that their system has been down and totally unacceptable they can't get it back up and I wonder if my information hasn't been hacked or where it is or who else has it. Used to be a good price until it turned into hell. I have had well over a dozen if not dozens of imaging done here over the years. The last time I went in they mistakenly told me I couldn't eat for six hours which meant that I couldn't eat since the night before and that I had to drink a certain amount of water. They got the water part right. It was for a kidney ultrasound. I go in and that was about two weeks ago and I wait forever and there was a woman who came early for her appointment and they tried to call her back first when they finally came back out because there was no one behind the desk and the front desk woman look exasperated. They started to call back the first woman and she said I was here first and they said our systems are down and something about possibly being hacked and it's been going on for weeks and now I wonder if everyone has all her private information. That's not good. I have a UTI and it's two weeks later and they still haven't gotten my results and when I called they said they have no idea when it will be and my insurance won't do another one because they've already paid for this one. I called again about two weeks later and the woman said she had no idea when it would be. I spoke to other people who go there and said they had imaging done that cost thousands of dollars each that is critical they get the results some of whom have cancer or deadly diseases and they can't even get a hold of the place and get an answer. How absolutely horrible and if they did get hacked I'm really worried about people having our private information. They went from a five to a zero and I heard a woman calling them a dangerous company. Definitely dangerous when I can't go get another scan or ultrasound and they refused to give me results for weeks and I don't know that some hacker doesn't has my information. read more

I generally don't write reviews - I leave that to my wife (follow EricA C.), she's an amazing Elite reviewer. Precision Imaging on Gate Parkway, has a wonderfully decorated office with a very friendly staff who are helpful, shout out to Kathy who works the evenings and Saturdays. Now, the beach location is where I have the issue. First impressions go a long way with me. The office is very drab -- looks like they used moved in, when they have been there for 7 years. The staff is not friendly nor unfriendly, just seem like folk who need a job. The call center reps need a refresher course on customer service. I had to go there after being sent away from the Gate Pkwy location because they couldn't perform a test. I have a device that prohibits me from getting MRIs in most machines. I shared that information at least 10 times with several call center reps and the office staff. I made the mistake of having another test done there and once again there was a communication failure. There is next to no communication between the appointment schedulers, the office staff and the referring physicians office. read more

YEARLY MAMMOGRAM Every year I go for my very important mammogram and this was my first visit here. Scheduling my appointment was easy and I informed them of my history and where my prior images were done. The imaging center is nicely decorated and the receptionist was helpful when I arrived. The imaging technician was just OK - not the friendliest and a little rough during the procedure. I have had many, many mammograms and this was the most uncomfortable. The technician said I would receive my report via email within 48 hours which I did not. I called a week later to ask for my report and it was sent over immediately. However, the report stated they had nothing to compare my current images to due to not receiving anything from previous facility. That was a lie! I called back and spoke with the medical records department to ask if they had my previous images and she said yes they do. So now they will do an addendum to the report which I should receive within 48 hours. BOTTOM LINE: If I was not the type of person that I am, very diligent with my health, this could end badly for myself or someone else. read more

My doctor sent me here to scan my injured knee. I found Precision to be excellent. The staff was friendly and professional. The waiting areas are pleasant and comfortable and the staff offers coffee and tea while you wait. my scan took only about 15 minutes. read more

I had a shoulder MRI ordered by my orthopedic DR.. I went to Precision Imaging Center on Gate Parkway because it was convenient. Next time I would drive hours to stay away from this place. Employees that were so non-plussed to be at work, mumbling instructions, setting up the wrong shoulder for the scan, no explanation of the process and lousy ear protection. My tinnitus is screaming loud even the day after. Stay away from this facility. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 1:55, the front desk people told me they were a little behind, which is fine if a "little" behind didn't mean 2+ hours. If you know you're that behind maybe you should call the patients in advance to reschedule. Now I've wasted almost 3 hours of my day here and late for work. I have nothing but warm fuzzies for Precision Imaging. I understand how the front desk, built strictly for basketball players and those over 6'6" could put folks off. Forget the built to intimidate desk, the folks behind it are great. Ashley E went way up and beyond. I had forgotten the Doc's orders. Ashley made some calls and accomiated. I know she spent some time doing this. Then her pleasing personality - winner. If every business had a Ashley E how smooth the world would run! The rest of the staff seem to follow Ashley's lead and were very nice while being efficient. Even the Bonos (located in same center) wait staff commented on how quick they are.   Lastly - you can actually call and get someone fairly quickly.  Unlike most medical services these days.  I know when I need to chat with my Doc's office (Millennium Group) I risk dying of old age before they actually answer the phone. I had to go to Precision imaging for an ultrasound of my wrist and overall my experience was great. The office is nicely decorated and very modern. The woman who did my ultrasound was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and had a wonderful bedside manner. My only complaint was that the lady at the front desk told me she would email me my results when they had them (within two days). Having not received them as promised on day two, I called before they closed and asked if they were available. She stated yes, and transferred me to medical records and the lady emailed me within five minutes. I do not like the fact that I had to follow up. One of my pet peeves in life is that if you say you are going to do something, DO IT! Overall, I would return if I had to, but I will be sure to stay on top of them for my results if there is a next time. read more

I had an MRI with contrast at the Gate location. I had to wait longer than expected. I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Amerah. She was sweet and truly caring and at that point her kindness was appreciated. I was very unhappy with the contrast needle and Amerah was very sympathetic and concerned about my reaction, not the nurse that "poked" me. When taken into the MRI room Rachel greeted me with a big smile and assured me everything will be just fine...she spent time with me knowing how upset I was. For the record, the day before I had to have blood taken and my arm is all black and blue, and swollen. Knowing I had to be "poked" again was stressful to me. Rachel understood. She took time to explain the procedure and checked with me during the procedure repeatedly...very unusual and appreciated. Its not every day that you come across two amazing, sincere people like I did. I hope they get to read this review as I told them both I was going to write a review. This is obviously not somewhere you want to find yourself. However, I'm bad at mountain biking and I've wound up here twice with breaks or sprains. Honestly, they make the best out of a bad situation. The office is super nice. It feels like an interior design studio more than an imaging center. Check-in has always been prompt and the customer service is top notch. If I inevitably break something else I'll be back here for the images. read more

I have consistently recommended precision imaging for years because they've always been so good, but now, I am so very unimpressed for medical professionals!! I made an appointment a few weeks ago for some imaging at the gate Parkway location. I was told at that time that temperatures were checked prior to coming into the building, and everyone would be wearing a mask. I would not have scheduled an appointment otherwise! When I arrived this week, the receptionist was not wearing a mask at all, less than half of the staff members I encountered (nearly 10) were wearing masks at all or had them under their chin or nose. No one checked temperatures and they only asked if you had a fever. Seriously, if you want to be sincerely protected, do not have any imaging done with precision imaging!!! Very unprofessional! How can you say you care for or respect your patients if you do not even take the basic precautions in a pandemic?! read more

Referred to Precision Imaging for a bladder imaging ultrasound by my primary physician. Appointment time set for 1 pm the last Monday in August. Subsequent to scheduling, I contacted by someone who clearly represented Precision Imaging and told I needed to drink 32 ounces (1quart) of water at 12 o'clock noon the day I was to arrive for the imaging. Following these instructions, I arrived at 12:50 for my 1 p.m. appointment. A lot of money has been invested in decorating the lobby and waiting room of this facility. I filled out forms and sat down to wait. Forty-Five minutes elapsed, mostly alone in the waiting room but for one very loud and obnoxious customer who wore a decorative cloth face mask draped under her chin. Eventually a woman who I must presume is a technician or other clinician employed by Precision Imaging emerged through one of several doors I had observed several other clients called to enter, which I presume lead to the imaging equipment. This female "technician" wearing a standard paper mask (non surgical) that did not cover her nose appeared to be engaged in small talk with two receptionist sitting behind a very high desk, and did not acknowledge my presence for several minutes. Finally, she approached me where I sat in the lobby, and seated herself in close proximity to me and began explaining that they were trying to contact my referring physician to obtain more information about the imaging test he intended for them to perform. I asked if she realized I had been told to "prep" for the image of my bladder by drinking full quart of water one hour prior to the scheduled exam, and that I could no longer tolerate the urgency to void my bladder. I advised that I would wait no longer, and would re-schedule. Then reconsidered and informed her I would re-schedule for an imaging service where staff actually took social distancing and masking during the height of a very dangerous spike in Covid 19Delta in a location (jacksonville) that is plainly a Covid 19 "hot spot", with perhaps the highest infection rates in the U.S.A, the country with the highest infection rate worldwide as of this date in time. On the way out the door, I informed her that I take the risk of infection seriously, and it is obvious that she does not. read more

Went here for chest rads for my daughter. The office is clean and has plenty of seating. Reception was nice and our wait on that day was not long, especially since we called to schedule an appointment 30 minutes before getting there. Once in the back they had my daughter change and immediately into the room to be radiographed. We were allowed to go along to watch, which was nice especially since my daughter can be very shy. After a few short moments her radiographs were taken and we left. Short easy experience. A few days later we were called with our results. read more
